I must say I have a love-hate relationship with food halls. They are great for upscale food options and offer a great alternative to your standard fast food selections, but paying the price I would for a restaurant meal makes me want to cringe. The food options are great, so it makes it a bit easier to swallow I love this place, and there are some great spots to get some work done. They have a great social calendar with some fun events. It's a great place to go with a few friends and do a tasting of all the food options and get a sample of everything! The service is great, and it is always so clean, and there are plenty of places to sit.

I loved the OG Burger, and thought it was quite reasonable at $11 plus tax. While I still don't know what Umami itself tastes like, it seems to have upgraded the burger in general. The veggies were fresh, the bread was soft, and the burger was super duper juicy. Juice was literally spilling out of it. Fantastic.I also got the Buckshot from the coffee shop at the entrance. I thought it was super tasty, though a bit pricey for 3 shots worth. I don't mind paying $6 for coffee but I'd like it to be bigger, or more shots. But still quite delicious and I have no regrets, and I'd probably get it again when I stop by for a burger. :)All in all, I think the market is great, with a nice variety of food for everyone. I'd like to return and try the other foods!

Citizens Market Atlanta (Bar) located at Phipps Plaza Mall. Let's talk about my SUBPAR Horrible Experience!!!!! On 07/06/24 me and a friend visited the bar area around 4:15 in the afternoon. We wanted to have a few cocktails. Upon entering we were never greeted by either of the two bar staff members after being seated. . After about 15 MINUTES, bar staff name Maria walked over, bar wasn't busy, Maria brought us two menus. We noticed that the bar was DIRTY due to the previous bar patron empty glass was still there. So I flagged Maria, asking if she could wipe down the bar area. Maria attitude was rude and abrupt! Afterward, we gave Maria our drink orders, Old Fashioned & Margarita, our drinks came. The Margarita was too bitter, we asked Maria if she mind remaking the drink, Maria rolled her eyes. Her attitude was awful, we then requested a manager. While waiting on the manager, Maria was telling the Manager, that we requested her, however they were over there laughing making snide comments about the complaint we made. The manager who walked over, her name was Winter who was USELESS! Winter asked, was everything okay, I explained how we waited 15 minutes before being greeted , then I explained how the make male blonde bar patron next to me, had been served with a drink, while I stepped away to the bathroom. Winter listened, offered to remake the drink, Maria walked over, interrupting our conversation, "saying I will remake the drink!" Once again, Maria attitude was terrible at this point. Winter did nothing to correct, Maria action. Do Not Waste your time at this bar !!!!!! Winter the (mgr) showed us how she didn't care about our complaint. For the entirety of the evening, I placed a food order with another bar member however Maria nor Winter came back to check on us. I had to flagged Maria down, to close out our tab. Another male brunette bar patron later walked in, Maria chased him down around the bar trying to take his order, but he was on the phone. Please pull your camera footage Citizen Market Atlanta something needs to done about this HORRIBLE experience. The Bar area is Filthy, we saw another bar patron asking to wipe down the counter. Citizens Market, there's no reason why your Bar staff Maria should be allowed to mistreat your customers. For the record, Winter when your bar patron makes a complaint, this is when you step in to correct their actions, by taking over the situation, not ignoring. Winter you did absolutely NOTHING! DO Better Citizens Market bar. I do not recommend this bar.

Awful truffle BURGER! The food was cold and the burger looked awful! I had to go and ask for extra sauce and take the burger home and fix it up so I'm pissed off as the the meal was $41! For what!? Some cold fries and a 1/2 fixed burger!

I met a friend at Citizens Market for a catch-up. I chose the location because it's between the two of us and as it's a food hall, there's no pressure for waitstaff to flip tables so we could chill out for a while. The food hall is very pretty; it feels like an upscale cafeteria. If you're lucky you can sit at a corner booth table which is very comfortable. I had one of the Umami burgers and my friend had the chicken sandwich from Sam's. My umami burger was lukewarm when I got it which is wild because I definitely waited at least 15 minutes for it. The umami flavor was lost on me and the burger overall wasn't flavorful - maybe because it got cold so fast. At $16 (for JUST the burger), it could have at least been hot. My friend said the chicken sandwich was fine but that at $14 she would rather have Chic-Fil-A. I can see us meeting back here because of the convenience and maybe having a drink at the bar, but I don't know that we would eat here again. I definitely don't plan to.

No this isn't about the Citizens Market as a whole because that's not a place necessarily...This is specifically about Umami Burger but because Yelp apparently didn't recognize all of the restaurants within Citizens Market, you will have to deal with what I'm actually reviewing which is not Citizens Market as a whole but Umami Burger.I forgot my lunch so I needed food and was introduced to Umami Burger located within Citizens Market. It's the new food court type space located at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead. If you think it's a boujee space, you're right, it's definitely not your average mall food court! For me, Umami is not just the most economical, but also the most filling in terms of quantity. But here's the thing. They don't skip out on the flavors here. The beef patty is seasoned beautifully, the fries are well done between the regular to the sweet potato fries. Drinks are bottle drinks so you'll have to contend w/ that. There isn't much in terms of service as it's just a walk up counter but they certainly know how to cook.My favorite so far is the Cali.It can be a pricey lunch considering you'll spend $13-$15 on a burger, and if you make it a combo w/ fries and a drink, that's an extra $6 plus tax. But it beats Shake Shack and 5 Guys by extra large margins!Highly recommend in my opinion.

Overcharged for chicken here. The menu at Firebelly wings had a different menu on their counter than what was on their screen. So, a combo that according to the website and their countertop was only $14 actually cost $19. No one could seem to explain the discrepancy. Weird.

CuteGood option of places to eat and the service was excellent We went after visiting the Lego Discovery Center. I love me a food hall. It was a little awkward going from Chaos to quiet with two little ones but that's on me. I did like how they had a kids menu for most of the restaurants!!! That was super helpful Food came out slowly but it was delicious If you're at Phipps it might be a good place to check out

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Citizens Market at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta,GA. Upon walking into this food hall the decor was gorgeous and the vicinity was very spacious. You could come here to grab a bite to eat with your friends, colleague or just to relax on the patio chairs on the green. It's never to early for a drink right? because it's 5 o'clock somewhere so head to the bar for something to quench your thirst because with their full bar, you can pretty much make any drink of your choice guaranteed. The establishment had so many restaurants and different cuisines to choose from that I chose SA'MATO. SA'MATO is a pan-Asian restaurant with a yummy menu to choose from. I had the sticky ribs which were fried and tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce accompanied with steamed rice and edamame. I ordered the combo and let me tell you the portion size is enough to feed 2 people. I rated these ribs a 10/10. A serious must try! I made my way over to the bar and had a Green Tea shot and like always it was very refreshing. The bar will pour your cocktail into a to go cup if you would like to take it out on the patio which I think is a nice added touch. In walking out on the patio, there are lawn chairs that you can sit back and soak up the sun and just rest your mind and let all your cares melt away but be careful in this GA heat because it's been a hot one as of late. Again this market is at the Phipps Plaza mall so the parking is a little confusing but it is free and you can park in the mall deck or the lot across from the front of the venue. All in all this food hall is a run don't walk type of ordeal and please bring your friends because this is the place to be. All in all my visit was a 10/10.

Each food halls have its uniqueness. This food hall is made up of food stalls by famous chefs such as Morimoto and they have copied and pasted the same stalls in different states, Atlanta being a new location. We went on a Friday and beat the lunch crowd. After 11:30AM, it was packed.Between the two of us, we tasted as much as we could and went to 3 stalls. Krispy Rice, Unami Burger, and Cicci di Carne. Husband and I both liked Krispy Rice but it's gimmicky and overpriced. Rice is crispy and good, packaging is cute, but is it really sushi?! Fish was chopped up super fine that you barely taste the fish. I would give Unami Burger another try but my burger was sort of cold. Otherwise, I loved the fries and onion ring. The Italian sandwich we had ordered was delicious but too much bread for me. However I can taste the quality of the ingredients.Overall, I would go back to try other stalls but I do wish that there was a legit dessert stall here. Space wise, Citizen Market is located between Phipps and the new Nobu hotel. You can park in front of the Phipps entrance that's closest to Starbucks Coffee and go through the opening in the corner and you'll find a mural and entrance to the Market.
