My whole family n I love this well-known restaurant. My go-to dishes here are the stuffed snapper, blackened catfish / trout and broiled oysters. This time I picked up a takeout of the Blackened Trout with spinach and dirty rice for the sides. The fish itself was very delicious, high quality, juicy, tender and very well-seasoned. The skin layer had a little crisp while the flesh was really soft and moist. The overall flavor profile of this trout was savory and also not too fishy, not too mild. The spinach was very tasty, leafy, juicy, seasoned enough and buttery/oily. The rice was very good, doughy and hearty pairing well with the protein n veggie. A couple of my family members shared the Stuffed Snapper and obviously loved its savory, buttery richness and high degree of deliciousness. Great, friendly service dine-in or takeout here.

Jesus Christie himself would have loved this place. It's not really the salt of the earth, more like the salt of the sea. But not the Salton Sea, because that's both Val Kilmer, and creepy.I'm not a huge fan of American style seafood, but if you want a decently priced, popular, cute, and centrally located old fashioned seafood place to eat at, you'll love this place. We liked the service, the food was good (nothing was amazing, nothing was awful), and lots of cute people come to eat here. It's not cheap, but it's not as expensive as most Galleria and fancy area seafood places. We'll definitely be back for a second visit.

The food, the service, and the ambiance is off the charts. The Christie's Pride is my favorite seafood dish in Houston, & you can't go wrong with the oldest fish samich in town. My wife & I have been eating at Christie's together for 48 years, our favorite seafood restaurant period. We miss the ole Christie's on South Main with the giant shrimp packing his Colt 45s, but the food is still excellent

I wasn't too thrilled with Christie's Seafood & Steaks. We arrived around 2-3pm in the afternoon and for a bit were the only family in the place. The meal started off fine with a good side salad, ranch and hot rolls and butter. Then when the meal came, the food lost its taste. I ordered tartar sauce instead of cocktail sauce & remoulade. The tartar sauce was tasteless and the fried shrimp had way too much breading on them. The au gratin potatoes were hot, but similarly tasteless. Overall, I was not impressed with the food. The waitstaff were somewhat busy. I think I finally did get a refill near the end of dinner. I cannot say that I recommend Christie's.

We love coming here for special occasions. I love seafood, but my wife is allergic to all forms of seafood. But she also loves coming here because of the excellent steak options. Great service, excellent cuisine, and reasonable prices.

Went with family after a family function with the grandparents on a Friday night. We got there late 8:15 and they close at 9. The staff was super welcoming, even though it was towards the end of their night. Service was amazing. I felt like I was at a high-end steakhouse. they had frozen margaritas on the menu and I was really feeling for one even though we were at a seafood place and I'm glad I ordered it. it was a really really good house. Margarita I enjoyed it. I had the fried seafood platter and it hit the spot. They make their dressings in house. Love the bread service with the hot rolls and whipped butter. My son got the BLT Oyster Po Boy it was delicious because I had some and he probably doesn't need to eat for the next 24 hours. The interior is old school but very clean and nice . this place has been here since 1917 so it is old school that's the point. Westheimer even there in 1917! i'm guessing it was a dirt road at that point?Everyone enjoyed it we will be back.

This place is old in bad need of some remodeling inside and out and for the prices they should be able to afford it. The inside smelled like dirty mop water trying to be covered by even worse smelling candles or room spray

Had my father's birthday dinner here with a group of friends a few weeks back; and from a group of foodies (from Louisiana, no less)... it was fantastic!!! Staff was great and ensured we had a wonderful night. Really enjoyed our evening here, and will be returning!
