Fantastic experience. We made reservations for our wedding anniversary dinner. Everything was delicious. My husband is very picky, and he loved the meal. I had chicken with the crab meat. I could only finish half. I think I filled up too much on the plantain chips. Service was friendly, and it was a beautiful touch to have someone playing a musical instrument in the background. We will definitely be returning!

I've been meaning to stop by for awhile now, as I had heard good things about this place. As one of the more upscale restaurants in the area, my expectations were high. Unfortunately they did not quite deliver. When we requested the wine menu, it wasn't available. Apparently it was being redone. This made it a little more challenging to select a glass. We ordered the kabob special as an appetizer instead of main, requesting the meat to be cooked medium. While we were waiting, the server asked if wanted to add another appetizer, as the kabob would take longer to cook. So we went ahead and ordered the empanadas. The kabob came out less than two minutes later. Oh well. While the bacon wrapped shrimp portion of it came out deliciously, the beef was well done and tough. The table side show seemed a bit unnecessary and excessive, as it involved melting a disc of butter over the meat. The empanadas were quite tasty and of good size, though I didn't care for the included basil cream sauce. As for the mains, my dining partner and I split the rack of lamb chops, which came with sautéed zucchini, squash, and carrots. We ordered this medium as per my dining partner's request. As it was being carved table side, I noticed the lack of pinkness, and while the server said it was cooked medium, it was obviously not. I mentioned it to the server as it was served to me plated, and she asked if I would like it remade but mentioned it would take awhile. I said I would give it a try because I didn't want to wait. Well, one bite, and I knew it wasn't going to work. It was cooked well done and was extremely tough and dry. It took quite some time for our server to reappear, and I had to flag her down to have the dish remade. This time I asked her to go ahead and cook it medium rare, as it was my preference and the chef had a pattern now of twice overcooking the meat. While it did take some time, It came out beautifully the second time with a beautiful pink blush, well seasoned, and tender. Pass on the mint pepper sauce that was served with it. I really disliked it. The meal ended with a complimentary tres leches cake which was quite delicious, since we were celebrating a birthday. I wish we could have been given an extra dessert to take home or some other comp for the inconvenience of the lamb fiasco, but none was offered. The lamb ended up costing over eighty dollars at market price, which I felt was a bit steep. All in all, it was a mixed dining experience. The overcooked meat especially dampened our visit, as that was what we were most looking forward to.

We went to the Eastern European Wine dinner they hosted last Tuesday and well they exceeded all my expectations! The braised ribs were so fall off the bone tender and the flavor omg just amazing. I wish that we knew they were hosting these monthly wine dinners and we would have came much sooner. I also want to say what a fantastic idea it was to host an Eastern European cuisine dinner because this style of cuisine is definitely something we are sorely lacking in this area Of Houston

This restaurant screams upscale. No hats. Flip flops not appropriate. With all the restrictions, the food and service needs to step up. Fortunately, it did. Once our guest doffed his cap, he was deemed appropriate and seated. We showed up two minutes later, ready to indulge. Our server, Davidly, has super interpersonal skills and made the evening pleasant and memorable. She guided us through the menu and helped us pick selections from cocktails to entrees. We started the evening with cocktails, old fashioneds and a Paloma. All were good. The mains were also great. Chimchurri steak, the Braised Short Rib and the platter with three meats were consumed. After dinner coffee selection is stellar.

From start to finish, this place was excellent! We were that party that showed up 20 minutes to closing and they served us very well. The customer was incredible! The restaurant is beautiful and tastefully decorated and the food was on another level. Guyon (pronounced Gwyn) recommended dishes we went with and were very pleased with. Sea bass and the torrejas for dessert. We also had some empanadas and another dessert I can't recall but the outside was flaky, fresh and tasty with a mango chutney filling. We ended up here after a poor experience at another restaurant, and now I know where to visit every time I visit Houston. It's great food, great prices (compared to Miami) and excellent service. Can't wait to go back! Enjoy!

The food had excellent flavor, but unfortunately, it arrived at our table cold. The sancocho de pollo I ordered was tasty but lacking in vegetables, and the sirloin special my husband and I shared also had great flavor but was served cold. Despite the delicious taste, we felt that the dishes were overpriced. The service and ambiance were pleasant, and overall, we had no major complaints. However, we were disappointed that our meals were not served hot as we would have expected, especially considering the price we paid. Total was $170 for cold food.

Tasty food but small portions It was our first visit here. We parked in the garage because around 6:30 pm it gets very busy and there were no parking spots on the street. Luckily it's free.Since we didn't make a reservation we sat by the bar, which was still nice. Even though our server was busy he was attentive. As an appetizer we got the arepas with shredded beef. You get 3 which I thought was odd, they should you give since one generally shares appetizers. You do get free plantains with chimichurri. It's acidic which I loved but the person I went with didn't.I got the pargo which is snapper. It was good and it came with four scallops. He got the fried crab risotto. Both were good but like many fancy restaurants the portions are small. My cocktail was also good, it was the lavender citrus. The lavender was mild, the cocktail had a nice light aroma and was refreshing. With appetizers and the plantains you do leave feeling full.
