We really enjoyed our meal at Zaab Thai. We dined in and brought in our own wine. It's not a frilly environment but clean and simple. What really shines is the delicious food. The presentation and flavors were phenomenal. Highly recommend trying them out for dine in or take out!

My wife and I stopped into Zaab Thai today for lunch. This is a cozy little place that just opened up a few weeks ago. The lunchtime rush was on and there were only 1 or 2 tables left. Right as we walked in there was a table of 5 or 6 Buddhist monks enjoying their lunch. I said to my wife, "Ooh boy, this is gonna be great!" And it certainly was.The staff is very nice, polite, and downright friendly. Heck, the chef even came out to greet us. What a wonderful smile he has! I've attached his picture. Am I right or am I right? Their menu has a lot of options and it was really difficult to choose, so we over-ordered, knowing full well that we were bringing some great Thai food home. We ordered crab rangoon and egg rolls as an appetizer, followed up with roast BBQ pork and Basil Duck as our main entrees and a sampling of their homemade ice cream which was in two flavors, durian and coconut. Everything was perfectly done, fresh and delicious. The flavor of the real crab came through in the Rangoon. The egg rolls were densely packed and crunchy. The roast BBQ pork served over rice had a great flavor and the star of the show, the basil duck blew me away! Just when I couldn't think of eating another bite, our lovely and sweet server offered us their handmade ice cream. So light and creamy, yet so flavorful, the ice cream was a perfect ending as it cleaned up our pallets beautifully. I can't wait to get back. Please, get over there and enjoy!

This was my 1st time dining at Zaab Thai. I've ordered carry-out from Zaab Thai at least 4 times before I decided to dine in. The service was excellent and the food was very delicious. Highly recommend!

We continue to return to this hidden gem Thai restaurant. We try new dishes and have never been disappointed. They use the freshest ingredients. Today we had Crab Curry Noodles (a creamy dish with fresh lump crab with sweet noodles, what a great flavor!) Deep fried ground catfish topped with red onion, roasted peanuts and a homemade house sauce. Incredible. Mixed vegetables with bbq pork with another homemade house sauce. Simply delicious. Not mention the egg rolls, fried taro (another new for us, we'll be ordering that again) and finished off with homemade coconut ice cream.

I hardly Yelp nowadays but a new business just opened up that I had to spread the word about. Having lost my favorite Chicagoland restaurant of 25 years last year (Siam's House), discovering Zaab Thai was like finding a culinary oasis. The family behind Siam's House, now at Zaab Thai in Elgin, continues to craft the best Thai food I've ever tasted. Despite dining in Thai restaurants across the country and even in Bangkok, Thailand recently, Zaab Thai's offerings stand out. This family-run gem sets itself apart with handcrafted dishes, no part-time cooks, and a menu featuring rare finds outside of Thailand. What makes Zaab Thai exceptional? First, everything is made from scratch. Ordering multiple items from the menu guarantees a delightful experience, each dish boasting complex flavors and textures that reflect the family's commitment to Thai cuisine. Weekends at Zaab Thai are particularly special, featuring a must-try delicacy - raw oysters topped with fried shallots and their house specialty nahm jim. This innovative touch showcases the restaurant's dedication to offering unique and delectable options while still being fully authentic. Thank you to the family of Zaab Thai and may you continue to offer the best of Thai cuisine for generations to come!

Delicious! My partner and I both got medium heat for our food and we can take some heat! If you are not a spicy food lover definitely ask for lower spice levels. We got our food for take out but just know if you dine in it is nothing fancy but the food is yummy especially for the area where there are not a ton of Thai places. Also must add the Thai ice tea was better than expected! My partner loves it and I'm not usually a big fan but this one wasn't overly sweet. Would eat Zaab Thai again!
