Not many left making these old school tastes so a must to try. Never had an issue with politeness of workers. But, could up their standards on hygiene and cleanliness. Many more would probably try amd advertise in this age of social media madness

All the sandwiches are good here. The place is located right on the corner of the street. Their is plenty of parking, they have a private parking lot. The only down side is the restaurant it is small and it's hard to social distance here. Everyone had on masks though as it is required.I waited outside alittle bit but it was kind of cold out. I was in line about 15 mins before I was able to order. Then another 10 mins waiting on my food. They don't accept call ins. And it's CASH ONLY!If you can go early and not on the weekend I would just that!The sandwich is worth the wait though.I got the 12 inch hoagie. It's turkey based meat. I wish they had these in Georgia. Good food places always do well in big cities.

Came Thursday night claim they didnt have fries and no ice cream an no shakes no white meat what kind of restaurant is this they didnt want to give me my receipt he had to re ring everything again rude customer service

Hell no! I grew up on Taurus on Stony Island! It's a South side historical landmark for me. In recent weeks a car accident damage this location and I went to try a secondary location. This was a mistake!!!Not the same!! The Steak sandwich was lacking a lot... OK let me break it down ,the hoagie rolls split from the top almost like a lobster roll. the steak taste artificial it was very few of it too,lastly the so call steak sandwich was missing the cheese (some cheese but not much)and pickled tomatoes in which I love! This steak in plain English was very bootleg! The hoagie was better but still a little soulless.. this spot is a definitely no!!!

I WILL NEVER, EVER EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN! If there were - 0 stars to give, I would! I'm only giving 1 star, because this review is making me do it! I went there today, and The whole bottom portion bread, WAS MISSING FROM MY SANDWICH, and I promise you, the small hoagy was about 2 inches long! This was a disgrace! Why would you serve a customer something like that?! And the guy that waited on me was very rude, because I didn't understand how the pricing of the combos were set up! If my review changes the mind of ONE PERSON, and they not eat there, I would be satisfied with that! RIDICULOUS SERVICE, RIDICULOUS FOOD! I will take my business somewhere else! Preferably Cozi's Sandwiches, which is also in DOLTON! Work on showing your appreciation for your overall customers! Worse ever!

If I could give a TRIPLE NEGATIVE I would!!!...This is the 2nd location, where trying to do business with is like PULL FREAKIN TEETH!!! UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVEABLE!!... People should not have to BEG you to take their money!...Bears season is starting Sunday so we planned on getting some catering done at this location. I decided to call (2) days in advance to place the order; trying to get ahead of the curve. THESE muthaf@#! can't answer the freakin phone. I checked what time I was calling because the phone rang-and rang-and rang.... It's approximately 1:15pm!!!!... I'm thinking, "Okay, the lunch rush should be done.... but maybe not".... "I'll try again later".2:30pm comes around. I call. Ring-Ring-Ring-Ring-Ring-Ring-Ring-RING. "CLICK"..... SILENCE...... I say, "Hello..... Hello... HEELLL----OOOO" 4-DAMN-TIMES. Nothing.... I hang up. Wait and then call back, NOW THE LINE IS BUSY!!.... WTF!!!.. Here he we go AGAIN with the f@#! games....!.... I told my wife I'm done!!!..... NOBODY'S FOOD IS THAT GOOD!... I'm done kid!.I probably should have known better. We tried going to the Stoney Island location last year and they act like the phone is going to give them a damn ear infection!!... Nobody answered the freakin phone and I called numerous times!!!... We drove past them about 20 minutes later and not only are they OPEN, they aren't even packed, they sometimes usually are!... We ended up getting some jerk chicken dinners down the street. At least they treat us with some respect and at least want customer's money!. Oh well....I'll continue to be happy for others whom continue to patronize these people, but I'm good with giving them anymore time and energy. Bottom line, good luck Chuck!"No" service so damn bad you don't even deserve a salutation......

This is a place that is a crapshoot. You don't know what to expect. This is a walk up CASH ONLY restaurant. You place your order and wait. If this place gets crazy busy, I can see where waiting inside would get problematic. The guy on the other side of the is straight forward. You order what you want off of the limited menu. Kinda like dealing with the soup nazi. Not knowing what to expect, I ordered the large steak sandwich combo. Removing the items from the bag, there is a red sauce oozing from the tin foiled sandwich and fries. I Can't say that I have ever experienced a steak sandwich like this. It is finely chopped steak'em like meat mixed with a soupy green pepper onion sauce similar to that of the New York Red onion sauce for a hotdog. By the time you are done eating, a shower is in order. The fries were shoe string style and bathing in the aforementioned red sauce. Jury is still out on a return trip.

I love the steak sandwich with sweet and hot peppers! The staff is friendly. Its a great neighborhood Vibe

Really, really good sandwiches however, they do skimp alittle on the toppings so make sure to ask for "extra" of your favorite topping. Other than that the sandwiches are delicious.
