Sushi Toro

This is mainly a carry out joint. A few small hard stools to sit on exist. Our main sushi order was made of 4 larger rolls and 3 smaller nigiri. Nigiri spicy salmon was pretty thick with rice and a small amount of fish. Spicy tuna roll was as expected. Also lots of rice. Something was more spicy than expected so of you like some heat, this is for you. If not, ask them for a mild version. We had edamame and it lacked some salt and seemed slightly overcooked. The vegetable dumplings were tasty. Avocado torch roll was unique and looked and tasted good. Everybody liked it. Best of the bunch. Super crunch tuna roll looked like it was going to be amazing but it was just ok. Looked better than the taste. But it was decent. They forgot to give us a roll we ordered but we are getting credit for it. Too bad as we were slightly hungry for our group. Average cost of about $30/ per person based on our order which is fair for sushi. Chopsticks were the common variety and had some shredded slivers. I suggest a better quality for this neighborhood, lol. I'd like to give them 3.5 but Yelp doesn't work like that. Friendly folks. Good luck on the grand opening.

I came across this gem while doing my returns at UPS next door. So happy I went in! I had their salmon poke bowl and shrimp tempura roll and both were so good! The ingredients were fresh and service was quick as they prepared the dishes promptly behind the bar. I'll be coming back!

Small restaurant with only a few tables. Very friendly service, seems like a husband and wife team maybe. The menu isn't gigantic but the food was excellent. I live in San Francisco, so I'm used to excellent fresh sushi and this place did not disappoint. Pork gyogi were enjoyed by our friends, the shrimp tempura roll, Fire Dragon and Rainbow Dragon roll were all fantastic.

the food, atmosphere, service and everything in between was perfect! fish and food was very fresh, the pork cutlet melted in my mouth and the sauce was their homemade sauce which was delicious, and the sushi was really tasty! highly recommend checking them out.

Decided to try based on recommendation and I will definitely be back. Everything was super fresh delicious. Had the Sushi Combo B, Rainbow Dragon Roll, Orange Sunshine, Shrimp Tempura udon, and a few other rolls and nigiri. Chef and staff are wonderful people.

Had a pleasant first experience!! We ordered the Philly, rainbow, and Godzilla rolls--all of which we enjoyed. I love that this place has chill, low-key vibes, and the prices are affordable. I am a sushi fiend, and I'm so happy this place opened up--it's definitely a "pop in for a lunch vibe" which was much needed in NB. Will be back for more!!

The Nigiri was fresh and price was inexpensive. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The restaurant is small and fairly spartan.
