Meat and Noodles... that's all you need!I finally had an opportunity to eat at Nomads. I've been eyeing their Yelp page for a while because I've been in search of Mongolian food since I've moved here. A little background on me, I love Asian food, big Asian foodie here. So, we went here for an early dinner at around 5pm on a Wednesday. Here is my review:- Parking (4/5): It is in a small plaza but there were plenty of parking when we got there because I don't think the business nearby were busy. I can see how this plaza can get packed on a busier week.- Atmosphere (4/5): My favorite type of restaurants are when they're owned by family and they keep to the heart of their food origins in their decorations and atmosphere. That is the feeling that I got here and I love it! It was a bit quiet when we got there but we noticed a karaoke stage so it was probably during a less busy hour... so I think they get down on the weekends with that karaoke!- Food (5/5): Hands down, one of the best restaurants I've had in a while. We started with their steamed dumplings and that was so good! They were the size of golf balls and reminded me of the Chinese soup dumplings called Xiao Long Bao. I had their special of the week called rib-eye Tsuivan. Think of your favorite Chinese stir fry Chow Mein or Low Mein noodle dish but add a smokey flavor to it. That's what tsuivan tasted like!! Someone else had their bulgogi plate which comes with white rice and the Korean marinated beef called bulgogi. I've had plenty of bulgogi in my day and I will have to say... they put their own spin to it. In the Korean version, the marinated sauce is on the sweeter side. Somehow Nomads made it into a smokey flavor so I really love their version of it. I tend to lean on for smokey, spicy, peppery side of how I like my food. This gave me that!Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to any meat lovers out there. Mongolians are known for special way of cooking their meat and stir fry noodles to have a lot of flavor. So if you haven't tried it before, come here and try it! It's so good! It's a little on the mid-range price ($$) but they give you a good-size portion and... well they're one of the few Mongolian restaurant out there. I'm planning to go back today and pick up dinner from here.
