Good food! Good service! Haven't been there in years, but ribs were just as remembered, delish! Enjoyed a gyro also. Will go back next time I am in area. Recommend

Maybe it's just the times we live in, but 2 hot dogs, fries and a drink shouldn't be over 15 dollars.This place is pretty much what you'd expect from looking at it. A neighborhood staple serving decent food.The people working there were nice, and there seemed to be plenty of regulars that patronize the place. They even have newspapers for you to read while you wait or dine in. Not many places do that, old school vibes.I only ordered hot dogs and fries, so I wasn't looking for a transcendent dining experience. The hot dogs were solid Chicago style dogs, not the best, far from the worst. The fries were just fries. Good, but not worth what they charge. The fountain drink was good and cold, but again, too pricy.All in all, this place was ok. If the price point was a little more reasonable, this place might get a higher ranking. The people are nice enough and the food is pretty good, but there are better meals to be had in this price range.

I feel this place has gone down hill since Covid!! The price for what you pay for isn't the same...the service has gone to sh1t! Ordered a gyro plate with an extra pita (which I was charged $1.10 plus tax & credit card fee) & chocolate chip cheesecake. When I got home I emptied the bag the only things that were in there was the gyro plate and the cheesecake. When I called to make them aware that the extra pita was missing they insisted that it was in the bag. When I unpacked everything and made sure there was nothing left in the bad I threw the bag away. They kept insisting that it was there and that I had thrown away the pita...the way I was talk to was demeaning and unprofessional!! I have been going here since the 80s...it will be the last time I will be going...sad to see such an amazing place go to SH1T

I can always count on Hub's!This place always warrants at least 1 visit during a Chicago visit - I always get their Gyros Plate, extra well-done, which comes with a big buttered pita bread, fries, sliced tomatoes, extra onions, and their chunky tzatziki sauce. Make sure you don't sleep on their rice pilaf, as this is one of the best that I've tasted - so good, and adds as a yummy side to your entree.Their gyro meat is sliced well, crispy, and tasty!Service is always great, welcoming and friendly!Plenty of tables and booths inside, and there's a private lot to park your vehicle.+Gyros Plate+rice pilaf+friendly service+family-owned+small lot

Always delicious! I love the Greek Village Salad, BBQ or Greek Chicken and the FF or rice. They have been a neighborhood staple since I was a little girl and the quality has not changed. It is a family business and so I love supporting them. Check it out for carry-out or eat there. Yum.

Great gyro, although it could have used a little bit of gyro drippings (juice) because it was a little dry. I wish they had some juice like in the SNL skit. The portion size was huge, I could not finish the whole thing. The service was great and clean on the inside. There were nice murals of the great SNL skit that was based at Hub's!

Hub's has been around forever, and I know that I definitely went there as a kid, though I don't actually remember eating there the way I remember other spots along the Dempster corridor. And maybe there's a reason for that. The food, for me at least, is really unremarkable. Very inexpensive, but unremarkable. I ordered a burger, fries, and a side of mushrooms, thinking they would be sautéed mushrooms. To my horror, the mushrooms came out and they were breaded and fried (and in my opinion, tasted awful). So definitely avoid that side of mushrooms unless you like fried mushrooms. The burger was meh. The fries were meh. The mushrooms left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall impression--I probably ordered all wrong!
