Hidden inside an office tower, this cool, interesting, watehouse-vibe coffee house needs exposure! It's one of five locations but the only one without street access.Trey welcomed me in with happy greetings and remembered my name when I left. In between, he recognized his regular customer and greeted her by her name.In addition to the dacor and his friendliness, the happy groove stereo set the tone as well.I came in for coffee and a bite, and their sandwich menu looks great and the prices are reasonable. Then Trey told me they have breakfast sandwiches all day and they're kind of known for that. I had a Greek fig spread and almond butter PBJ on a freshly toasted, small bakery whole-grain bagel. It was really fantastic, hit the spot and for a very reasonable price downtown.My coffee was a medium roast, with a smooth taste and teeny bit of acidity. Trey began to show me where The Roastery will be inside the shop. I think it will be a great concept. He also explained to me that all of the coffees they sell in bags help a charity of your choice. They have five to choose from. The customer picks the bag representing the charity and the customer picks light medium or dark roast and the grind. Super cool concept.What a great experience in the middle of my super busy workday. I was grateful for this moment in my day.

Barista was nice and helpful, quaint little cafe hidden in the office area--that's about where the pros of this review ends. Matcha latte was just green colored milk, not much matcha to rave about. I am lactose intolerant- asked for oat milk instead of whole milk. I ordered this just this morning without consuming anything else -- I am now gassy and in pain. I honestly cannot be too sure that they actually used oat milk.

I do like the small independent coffee shops over the larger chains and Hero is a pretty good option.The location is ideal for me because it's in the same building as my office, and the cappuccinos are pretty good. They don't do any sort of "fancy shapes" with the milk on the top like other hip-places and the flavor is good not great.You can't see the coffee bar from outside of the building so it'll be interesting to see how their business does as they will most likely need to rely on people who work specifically in this building.

They have delicious tea - the good kind in the sachets. You can smell each one they have in jars on the counter. Peach Blossom was really good.FYI - they are located inside 222 N. LaSalle, on the Wells Street end.

Great coffee and breakfast bagels! Also they're so helpful and friendly! Yelp says they're closed but they've reopened and are open during their normal hours.

Not only am I big fan of Hero coffee, but also the staff at this location. Everyone is super friendly, and their drinks are consistent. I feel pretty spoiled to have this spot so close to work!

I usually order thru ritual to get my caffeine fix. My order is always on time and the staff is friendly. It's a cool place to hang out with cute decor.

Decent bagels and fun vibe would recommend for a quick simple bite great for grab n go

Never opens on time and really slow service. If you don't have a ton of time to wait, you might want to go somewhere else.
