Burnt wings. Owner told me he baked it and then fried them to make sure they weren't "raw".

I saw this on Groupon last night and saw that it was pretty close to me. Thought I'd try it since I had a hankering for some wings. I will say they were solid wings and a great option for takeout. We got four 6 wing meals. The cook (and the owner?) gave us a few more wings which was nice. They have 40 sauces which was a little bit of a shell shock. I think I got too many of the same kind of wings. Hell, Buffalo, and Louisiana Ranch were all kind of the same. It's on me, but I wish I could have gotten a little more direction. Either way, the wings were great! I especially liked Hell since they were super spicy and had a really good taste. The only wings were cooked great! The fries were surprisingly good! We also got an order of fried shrimp which was excellent. They only "downsides" were there my dads BBQ wings were all wings and no drumsticks. It was we kind of a weird. Also, their website doesn't give all the great wing options so you kind of need to use Grubhub (which takes a portion). I'd recommend going there to order, but it takes some time to cook the food. Still, everything is cooked to order so you are getting fresh wings and some place to check out!

My love was very excited to get a Groupon for FireWings, so we checked this place out recently. FireWings is a smallish place on Pulaski just south of Lawrence and adjacent to an alley. They seem to have inconsistent opening hours. We live near it and have walked past it at random times - sometimes looks open, sometimes looks closed. For a while they had a sign in the window touting a breakfast menu on the weekends, but not sure if they are still pushing that early agenda. The menu features wings of course, but they also sell burgers, burritos, and fried shrimp. They have a list of 40 sauce selections for their wings. Orders of wings and burgers also come with a side of fries. When we walked in to place our takeout order, we were told that it would take only 10 minutes. I was surprised, as I was anticipating a much longer wait based on some of the Yelp reviews. After my love and I witnessed a peaceful protest on Pulaski for about 15 minutes, we went back to FireWings and our order was ready to go.My order of 6 wing pieces with honey BBQ sauce was good if not great. The fries that came along with the wings rate a bit better, as they were crisp and flavorfully seasoned. The celery stalks were very basic, and the not-quite-ranch dipping sauce tasted pretty decent. My love went with the cheeseburger, and the bite of the burger I tried was tasty. I'd say FireWings is worth a try, but be sure that they are open for business!

Lots of choices for your flavor. The guy was really helpful with my order had some great recommendations. I needed it for their listThe place is easy to miss. Right before the intersection. Their non wing items are on the chalk board at the top with the wings on a paper.Classic wing spot. The garlic chicken tasted pretty addicting. Chamoy mango really strong Chamoy favor. Punches you in the mouth with tanginess. The fries here are insane. Super crispy fries. Honestly might be my reason to give it that 5th star. Even though it was cover in a bag on the way home. It kept it crispiness. Man I would get another of fries if I knew it was this good.

Tried fire wings recently for the first time! We ordered 10 pcs with buffalo sauce, side of fries and slaw. The wings were fine. Not much sauce. The fries were delicious but very skimpy on portion. The slaw had no seasoning. Even just a pinch of salt would have helped. The celery on side were skinny and short. They were what you get at top of celery stalk.Overall it was ok. Prices good. There are better wings out there!

Great flavors and big portions! They have so many different sauce options and dry rubs. Everything is always fresh and the fries are a bonus! Great to have a wing spot in the neighborhood that isn't a chain.

Recently this company came to our office for a pop-up restaurant via Fooda. Honestly - none of it was very good. They had advertised they had wings, fingers, and pita sandwiches. By the time I got there at noon - they were out of fingers. Ok - so, they had advertised a bunch of sauces for the wings. The reality was they only had buffalo sauce or naked wings. So, fine - they didn't have the sauce I wanted, so I went with the 6 piece buffalo with ranch dipping sauce and a side of potato wedges. The first wing I had was kinda slimy. The sauce didn't taste terrible - but I've certainly had better buffalo wings. The second wing I had was actually raw in the middle - so, I spit that out. The third wing I cut into so I didn't make the mistake of biting into a raw wing again... it was cooked fine but, again, still kinda slimy. I think the reason for them being slimy is instead of cooking the wings and keeping them warm and then saucing them before serving them - they kept the wings simmering in the sauce the entire time. Like many people, I like my wings to be kinda crunchy on the outside (like fried chicken) and then have them tossed in the sauce for a kick of flavor. If these were tossed in a sauce before serving, there should still be some crunch. The wedges weren't any better. A good potato wedge is crispy on the outside and soft/fluffy inside. These were just soggy and slightly cold. I ate a couple but they were also bad so I just threw the rest of them away too. Not sure what the issue was here. Maybe they just don't travel well? I don't know - but they weren't good. I'm sure going to the restaurant where these are cooked to order will probably give you a different experience. However, this is an opportunity for you to have a captive audience where literally hundreds of people can't leave the office and need something fast so they will try your food - many for the first time. You have to learn how to serve your food outside of your kitchen if you are going to do this in a catering style atmosphere. Fooda has been the way I have explored many new restaurants over the years and I'm sure I'm not the only one. This was definitely not the way you want to present yourself. No tenders. Bad wings. Bad wedges. It just wasn't a good experience. Best of luck to this company. I see amazing reviews on here and other platforms - but my experience did not mirror others.

Not sure if they are even open anymore. If they are, not worth your time. No phone numbers work. Basically every complaint on Grubhub is about how late their orders are. Waited 2 hours before canceling our order that never came. Grubhub support can't reach anyone. Place used to be great, but it is terrible now, and we'll never try again. It's a shame.
