El Nuevo Langostino

This place is pretty good. But the one thing that never sits well with me is when restaurants serve shrimp that haven't been deveined. Ill still give 3 stars because the server was so nice and the food was still pretty darn good. I just had to stay away from the shrimp. Hopefully they start to clean the shrimp moving forward. Also their non alcohol drink menu is off the charts!

I recently found this spot on yelp in the Albany park area, worth the trip here, this is my 2nd time in 2 weeks, I truly think it's fresh, delicious and fast service.The staff are likable, they give you a mini caldo for appetizer, I ordered an Agua Mineral preparada, Tostada mixta and a 7mares caldo. Loves it and I will come here all the time but you should try it for yourself. Enjoy,Thank you, Chicas y Chicos

Food is super fresh,oysters were large and tasty Good service. Definitely coming back and will recommend to my friends and seafood lovers.

Loved it! Awesome food, got beef tacos, fish and shrimp tacos and the shrimp empanada was great. Highly recommend! Will be coming back.

Very tasty, well prepared, and friendly service! We picked up from there tonight: I got the pulpo al ajo (garlic octopus) and my husband got the camarones zarandeados (split grilled shrimp). We shared the aguachiles verdes (raw shrimp in a fresh-chile-and-lime sauce with cucumber and red onion). The food was hot and fresh and on time. It's a little pricey, but totally reasonable for fresh seafood in Chicago. I didn't think the amount was that much when I picked it up, but we were absolutely STUFFED by the end of our meal. Lots of sauces left over to mop up with their garlic bread We will be back to try the mango aguachile!Note: If you pay by card, there's a 3% surcharge.

Overpriced. 3 dollars for the mojo de ajo sauce alone. 18 bucks for my fish tacos and it tasted alright but nothing gangbusters. My dad got some beef steak tacos - he said it was bland. The woman working at the counter was kind and attentive. I loved the interior under-the-sea design of the place. They put a lot of effort into decorating the place and making it look nice. They had four big TVs - two play Spanish television and one visualizing the menu. Seems like a nice place to hangout - if only the pricing was more reasonable. However, it's a tough time for the food industry so I can't fault them too much. I just know if I want tacos - fish or beef I can get them a little cheaper and a little better elsewhere. And in a sea full of restaurants to choose from, sometimes the slightest difference is all the difference.

To get a feel for those items listed as market price, I went to their online ordering site. The prices listed on the ordering site did not match the prices that we were charged. We ordered, among other things, a specialty seafood boat. This included snow crab. Langostinos, shrimp, tiny scallops and delicious mussels. This item was listed as market price. Remember, their website showed a large version of this item (Levantamuertos) for $75 dollars. Astonishingly, when I asked the server for the price, after ordering and just before it was served, she quoted $285. Yes, I was stupid for not getting the price before ordering, but I feel the server should have informed us of the price and also of the size of this platter which was very big. The menu does not indicate how many servings per person of this item.ALTHOUGH SERVERS WERE FRIENDLY, WE REPEATEDLY ASKED FOR NAPKINS, UTENSILS, PLATES AND BOWLS. We ordered fish soup and menudo, which we shared with the group. I asked for suip bowls and they said they didn't have any, making it difficult to share. Also, we were not given a ladle, so sharing the soup, using a tablespoon as a ladle, was labor intensive and weird. We ordered lots of shellfish and seafood which produces a lot of shells. We are not given a vessel to collect this refuse, which is standard at seafood restaurants.MORE INFORMATION ON THE SEAFOOD BOAT The snow crab legs were small and did not yield much crab meat. Most of the platter consisted of shelled shrimp and langostinos. The few scallops were tiny. This place should be a destination for foodies. And a gem for locals. Delicious taste. Fresh ingredients. Great service. Special touches (seafood soup while we waited for main). BYOB but some tasty mocktails.

Food is delicious We went with a big group from work and they were so accommodating. Moved tables around quickly and made our group of nearly 20 feel welcome. It's byob, which is great too! They served us this delicious soup, shrimp consomme as a starter without even asking. Made us feel at home. All our food came out so quickly and so delicious with lots of FLAVOR! Will definitely be coming back! Thank you for the hospitality and yummy food!
