We've been coming here for decades and love the place and it's people. Our favorites are the gyros and the chicken breast on pita. We also love their chicken dinners and they will even put BBQ sauce on it if you prefer. The spinach pies are also stuffed with lots of spinach and feta. Very good. You need to stand at the counter in front of the cash register to let them know you are ready to order. Otherwise they will assume you are still deciding, so please don't think of them as rude. They are just being polite by not bugging you so you can take your time.

This is a neighborhood staple for many years, and for good reason. I crave the juicy and generous cheeseburger and the gyros, while my husband adores their avgolemono soup and chicken sandwich on French bread. The Greek chicken with rice is always delicious and the kids always finish every last bite! I would recommend the spinach pie for vegetarians and also the salad. Rice pudding for dessert - it's so underrated and we absolutely love it!During the summer the outdoor seating is quite nice. We have also had events at work catered by East of Edens and were very happy with the results. The service could be friendlier sometimes but IMHO who cares it's about the food and the quality which is awesome!

I decided to try this place after having passed by several times. The place seemed kind of a dump, but sometimes less kept restaurants can be hidden gems. Unfortunately, I was totally ignored by the two gentlemen behind the counter after walking in and reviewing their menu and standing there for several minutes as they carried on with their discussion looking at a laptop computer. They didn't even bother to acknowledge me or let me know they were aware I was there. It was like I was invisible. So I took my business elsewhere.

It's literally been ions and ions and ions since my last visit. I remember their gyros being one of the best. Clearly the old me didn't know what was up. Overall, a solid 3 a solid middle ground. They are known for their Grecian chicken plates with their tatos which by the looks of those dinners around me looked like it tasted about the same. Still the same grumpy old Greek man at the register. But still not the worst service more of a straight shooter. Gyro isn't the best but isn't the worst. They only provide one pita but the ratios were pretty in line with their meat portions. I say solid pass on the onion rings and they are mostly all bread. Their fries are crinkle and are pretty decent. I liked the cheeseburger we got over all but still not the best. Coleslaw was solid but a little dry. Mehhhh. B-

This is the second time I've been there the first time the gentlemen actually both of them were so incredibly rude and disinterested in serving. The second time I attempted, they closed an hour early, and although I checked all the doors, the owner's was standing behind the counter, made no attempt to offer an explanation or inform me of their new hours.In my opinion, no one is above, being grateful and respectful to customers that supports you to have a business .There are too many other establishments comparable to this ....go elsewhere and give your money to someone who is grateful and kind.

Went mini golfing with my kiddo and son. We decided to stop for supper in between games. So we drove a bit and decided to try this restaurant. It was delicious. My bro and I had gyros and the kiddo had a bacon cheese burger. I had fries, bro had cheese fries, and kiddo had motz sticks. I would have taken photos, but we powered through the food. It was all good. We'd definitely go back to try some of the other dishes!Lots of to-go people through here, as well as diners inside. They also have a small patio.

Excellent gyros. Lived in Chicago for 11 years and regret not trying sooner.Friendly service, clean and organized.Great value for your money. Excellent and convenient parking and location.

They've been in business long enough to know who to make lemon rice soup. They just don't car anymore. The grumpy men behind the counter are such a turnoff. They will never greet you or thank you. They just call your number and walk away. They make it such an awkward experience.Food is basic at most.

I. Bought Greek chicken and lemon potatoes to go. It was absolutely delicious. Order included a small salad. I returned again it was a whole roasted chicken. It is delightful to or from this place. I highly recommend this Resturant East of Eden. Prices are reasonable.

Their dinners are basically mediocre. Everything they make is dry and overcooked. Their hot dogs and fries are always cold. The only thing they serve that is a little above average are their rib dinners. But even with that you still have to deal with their dry roasted potatoes and their overcooked Greek rice. Their prices are outrageous, and they also charge you for using a credit card. How greedy can you get?
