We have nothing to say but good words! This is a great local gem! Let's give them business so they will stay in RM!We went there this weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Tossing between a few Italian restaurants nearby. We did our research like most of you all did. We learned from prior reviews that this place was a prior sort of fast food joint with open kitchen and tables. We didn't know they have a nice shaded patio outdoors. We sat outdoors, it has great ventilation. The air conditioning inside was great as well. This place is amazing! From beginning to end. We were greeted nicely by the host. The free bread and dip (so flavorful)! Very generous portions for all the dishes. Great alcohol selection and they don't go cheap on the content with cocktails. We ordered fried zucchini, 2 different risotto dishes and wrapped up with a tiramisu. Lemoncello shots were on the house. We had great server that came to check on us very often and made sure all things are taken care of...and the owner came by to talk to us.We plan to come back with our teens. They love fettuccine so we will try this restaurant's version of the dish!We even ask for extra bread to bring back home and have the kids try them! I didn't get to visit the washrooms. If I could suggest to the owner is to add a pasta primavera (one of my favorite!)I am sure it is nice and clean as the inside of the restaurant.

The waiter/manager decided he deserved a bigger tip so he added an extra $5 to my card after I left. He confirmed this happened and refunded my full tip when I reminded him that this was credit card fraud. Guess he assumed nobody checks their bank statements! If that doesn't bother you, the food is fine but not nearly worth what they're charging, and the building is kind of run down and still looks like the Mexican restaurant they replaced a year ago.

Hidden gem of an Italian restaurant!! Delicious food, appetizers and desserts. My son and I ordered the meatballs, the rigatoni, the branzino, tiramisu and the chocolate torte. I loved the meatballs, tiramisu and the rigatoni the most. I really like their tomato sauce because it's not overly sweet. The homemade meatballs and their Italian sausage in the rigatoni taste really fresh. The homemade tiramisu that came in a flower pot was really yummy and cute. Service was great. Had dinner on a Sunday afternoon. So it was not busy at that time. Small intimate restaurant with dim lighting so it's a great place for date night. Music in the background is not overly loud. They have an outdoor patio opening up as soon as the weather gets warmer. I will definitely be back to sip a glass of wine or try their homemade lemoncello on the patio. Great restaurant with amazing food. Please give them your business!

Excellent service and food! This is the only place I have ever been to where every staff seems to work as if they own the place! Super friendly and pleasant. The place slowly filled up while we were there.I had the tailgate with lobster and creamy tomatoes sauce. While the sauce is a bit too unique for me (sweet with a subtle sour note), the tagliatelle is superb! I could totally visualize someone in the back rolling that pasta machine and chopping up the dough for these awesome tagliatelle. The mussels we had also tasted super fresh. The complimentary focaccia and dip is to die for! I had to hold back from eating too many!

I really like this place. This was my second time dining here. Both visits were thoroughly enjoyable. This visit, I opted for the Riagatoni alla Trasteverin, which was a superb dish with homemade Italian sausage, mushrooms, in an amazing creamy tomato sauce, with goat cheese. You could easily imagine that the bite size pieces of sausage were made in house, and the sauce was extremely rich and complex.I had the Calamari Frito appetizer which was cooked delicately and perfectly. Once again, the sauce that accompanied it, was not a simple marinara, but a rich homemade tomato sauce. The service was friendly, prompt, and professional. This is a great place for a large, friends or family dinner group. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you're in there, being so well taken care of, and eating this delicious food, you'll be happy you came. I should note that this isn't exactly the traditional Italian restaurant where you can order lasagna, spaghetti, veal parmigiana, etc. (all of which I also really enjoy), but rather an interesting take on creative Italian food. I consider the pricing to be reasonable, especially with the quality of the food. I'll be returning again and again.

A diamond in the rough! Almost didn't write this review because I wanted to keep this restaurant to myself haha. It's been a while since both my wife and I absolutely fell in love with a restaurant. First things first, their in house made focaccia bread and pureed gorgonzola beans in olive oil and parmesan cheese was amazing, I had to force myself not to order more after the 2nd round of bread. I would go back just for this bread and dip! Appetizer was the Cozze Al Pomodoro. The mussels tasted fresh and the sauce delicious. For entrees, the wife ordered the black fettucini with spicy tomato sauce with squid and shrimp(for the name and to take a picture of this), and everything tasted fresh and delicious albeit a bit too spicy for me, however the wife enjoyed the spice level. I ordered the gnocchi norcina which was a bit heavy but I ate every last bit on my plate. For dessert we had to order the tiramisu that comes in a little flower pot. The flower is actually real! The tiramisu was not too sweet and we enjoyed it thoroughly. To top it off they gave us some pistachio cello shots on the house! These were delicious and had quite a kick to them! This is definitely making it onto our list of restaurants we will go to again! Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem!! When we walked in, the place was completely empty, it was nice to have the entire staff just working harmoniously to get us our orders. After about 15 minutes, more and more people showed up to enjoy the restaurant, so it was fun while it lasted. The food was fresh, hot and homemade, you can literally see into the kitchen and hear them making your food. I ordered the beet salad, it was sliced in a way I've never had before, extremely thin, which made it even more delicious. The table shared some fired calamari, it wasn't rubbery or over breaded. The wife ordered a nice steak with grill asparagus and came with a homemade sauce, it was cooked exceptionally well and very flavorful. I ordered the scaloppine di funghi with the veal, oh man was it tender and delicious. The portions were just right, not too much or little and everything was delicious. The inside has an exposed ceiling which made it larger than it actually is, but this place can be intimate since there aren't many tables, the music selection is easy on the ears and the staff is extremely attentive. Give this place a shot, you won't regret it.

Went here to celebrate my daughter buying her first home with our realtor and her daughter. The restaurant is cozy and we were welcomed warmly. Tuesday night is half price martini night and we all enjoyed one with the complimentary focaccia and garbanzo dip. The specials menu included stuffed squash blossoms and they were delicious! Everyone loved their entrees but the best part was the semifreddo with flaming chocolate sauce! (Although the shot of pistachio limoncello was pretty amazing too!)

We have been here three times and love the food. It's an authentic Italian menu with really good specials. It is now our favorite restaurant. Try the zucchini flowers. Amazing. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We've recommended this place to many others who end up loving it too!

Delicious, creative dishes in an unpretentious, welcoming environment. This is a family run business, and the owners really appreciate their customers. This is not a spaghetti and meatball and chicken parm kind of place. Many of the menu items are unique to Casa di Luigi, and are well prepared. Food is very consistent, delicious and served piping hot! Hands down the best italian restaurant in the area.
