"Great diner spot if you're looking for some authentic Filipino style breakfast food. You could wait up to 10-15 minutes for a table if you're there during peak brunch hours, but the servers really work hard to clean up tables and take orders. I loved the combination meal with longanisa and tocino, but I opted for spam this time. Anything you get will always be a hit! The bill was about $45 plus tip. Highly recommend!"
"I am a little mixed on this place because I don't think filipino is really my thing. I will bump it up to 4 because I don't think anything went wrong, but I am just not a fan of this kind of food. We started with the getting all the grilled appetizers (minus the vegan option). The chicken, pork belly, and short ribs were all excellent. I would give a special shoutout to the short ribs which were better than I expected. The pork belly and chicken were pretty good too. The portions were also decently large. We also got the lumpia which is always a hit! I got the beef tongue for my main course which had some pretty good flavor, but was kind of mushy. This is probably how this is prepared so its probably more of a "me problem" than anything the restaurant did. We all also got garlic rice which we thought was a little too much garlic, but mellowed out with the addition of other meats and flavors. We ended with the fried sticky rice coconut balls which were good, but not extremely memorable. Still, it was a strong ending to a meal that I thought lagged a bit in the middle. It was also a little expensive. The menu seems a little too small and unless you really like filipino food, you are only going to have options in the applitizers. Honestly, that is survivable as I thought the grilled meats appetizers were tasty and I should have gotten more instead of the tongue. The other highlight was that the service was actually quite excellent. They were able to make recommendations, were attentive, and flexible with a few young kids we had. The place seems upscale, but is pretty cozy and has probably the best volume music I have heard at a restaurant. Not too loud, not too soft. Will I be back? Maybe. I would return to get the chicken, pork belly, lumpia, and short ribs, but that is the meal that I am making. I would suggest that to you if you are unsure.k"

"I think for everyone who had the fortunate of having Asian parents or grandparents that cooked for them while growing up, Tita Mia invokes memories of lots of those flavorful, healthy(ish) comfort foods. Now if you combine this with a giant parking lots, beautiful huge dining room, reasonable prices (for the enormous portions), and fast friendly service you have a winner! You can't really go wrong with anything you order here as everything is pretty much between delicious to very delicious. The lechon kawali is nice and tender with a nice crisp on the skin and comes in a generous portion. The sizzling sisig is filled with umami, with the saltiness tempered down nicely by the onion. The pancit, whether stir fried or in a delicious soup is nice and slurpy and flavorful no matter what you pair it with. The desserts are also amazing here as well. The chocolate cake is full of lots of fudge and not too sweet. The flan is full of caramel, a bit thick but full of delicious eggy flavor and quite smooth. The ube crinkles are like little taro cookie cakes that are sweet and fragrant.Overall, a great place to get a great meal at a great price and be treated like you're family!"
"For catering needs:When the holidays arrive catering needs are required (especially when work/life gets too busy to cook). Subo has tasty options that can satisfy in a jiffy. The BBQ'd meat sticks, different types of filled & fried rolls and more. There's an ease to acquiring catering needs. No need to call several days ahead, they will accept orders that can be prepared and picked up within hours. Though I've noticed that when giving them more time to cook and prepare, quality is best. When having lesser times before pickup, quality is different depending on what's being prepared. Ie placing an order when they open and pickup later that afternoon. I've had catering order/pickup times both ways these past holidays. Good to go catering includes:Large orders of lumpia shanghai & or eggrolls. Pork or chicken BBQ skewers."
"Lumpia and best crab Rangoon I know of. Can't pass this place with out an order of crab .ragoom. Small family owned. Delish. .you might have to go to rehab for the addiction g crab ragoon."

I'm probably the last Filipino yelper that hasn't been to uncle mikes. Surprise it's not just Filipino breakfast. It's actually a large menu with lots of traditional breakfast items. Upon seating you're immediately served complementary porridge(arroz caldo). The brunch combo of steak and tocino came with Champorado(chocolate porridge). Are you kidding me? Im sold! Is it the best steak? No. Is it the best tosino? No. Im giving it five stars because the food is good enough, the portions are huge, and all the other trimmings it comes with. P.S the plain pancakes tasted really buttery - even that was good.

FINALLY GOT TO TRY. I remember when I first heard of this place, they were just a stand inside Revival Food Hall. Im super happy they have their own brick and mortar now!!!The restaurant is very intimate and small inside. The menu isnt that big either so we ended up ordering the entire menu except the sides and the fish entree and it was the right amount of food for 4 people to share. Everything came out in a timely manner and was plated nicely. My fav dishes were the sisig and the liempo (pork belly)!

Overall, food and service were pretty good! This was the first time my mom and I have ever had filipino food, so we ordered what seemed popular online. The lumpia shanghai was good, basically like egg rolls but skinnier and with meat instead of vegetables. The lechon kawali was delicious, but I'm not used to eating such oily food, so I thought it was a bit too heavy and had to remove the fat. The taste was good, though, and it was very crispy! The pancit was okay, but it didn't stand out. And the halo-halo was delicious! I think I would absolutely come back just for the dessert.Note: come with cash! They charge extra if you pay with card. The servers were very nice, and the restaurant is super spacious and has a nice vibe. Overall would recommend!

It's very unfortunate. Filipino food used to be very affordable. Now it rivals just about any other place with the skyrocketing prices. The food was still good here. The customer service could have been a little better. When we arrived two ladies were sitting down and they weren't very welcoming. Like not a hello, or any type of eye contact. A customer after me received even worse service. The young lady was on her phone with the same no greeting and then finally looked up to place the gentleman's order. We placed an order for their Lumpia with pork. My wife ordered their my wife ordered their Pancit Bihon and I ordered their Tocino breakfast bowl. The Lumpia was very delicious. It had a nice crispy outside and very tasty pork inside and served with a sweet chili sauce. This is a must order at any Filipino restaurant. The Pancit Bihon came with thin stir fried rice noodles, with chicken and vegetables. Just a few years ago, you could get this dish for around 7 to 8 dollars. Now it's $15. But still worth it. You get a lot of food, it's very delicious and filling. My Tocino Breakfast bowl that I got for dinner was really good as well. Although I would have preferred my rice to be more garlicky and more fried, it didn't ruin the rest of the dish. I also would have preferred my fried eggs to not be so over cooked. I like my eggs runny, especially on top of fried rice. The tocino was definitely the highlight of this dish. It was so tender, and just the perfect amount of sweetness to go with the rest of this savory this. Would definitely order this again and will definitely be returning.

We weren't in our own territory today and needed a bite for late lunch and good old Yelp brought us here after striking out at 2 of our favorite locations. We love chinese food and this little place has some of the best ever! We wish it was close to us.The smells when you walk in the door is that classic chinese food that you are looking for. It is cute and fairly typical. It was busy as heck, so the locals must know the quality. The lunch specials were so cheap! We got the chicken with cashews, chicken egg foo yung, lemon chicken, and garlic chicken. All of them were fantastic, and cravable in some cases. They all come with fried rice and soup. Hot and sour and egg drop were both an amazing start. We also got egg rolls, and they are the best I have had in a decade. So delicious. Also Daniel who sat us at a table and brought us things was so kind amd funny. He made the experience memorable. Definitely stop in when you can.

I only came here once awhile ago and we had a group going for the boodle fight. When some of us got there at our reservation time, they had the table partially prepared. They need everyone from our party to arrive, so that they can prepare the whole table. You eat with your hands. It was rice, different kinds of meat and seafood, etc. They also brought us halo halo and like dessert egg rolls (forgot the name). Price per person wasn't too bad. I left full and satisfied. We found free parking either by the restaurant or one of the side streets. The staff was very nice and attentive.

I'd give this place five stars with enthusiasm for the food alone. But in terms of experience, I left this place super grouchy. I arrived at 1:45 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The place was busy but not overloaded. A woman who I assume to be the manager was very warm and welcoming and got my set up with another woman who took my order and I paid at 1:50 pm. They told me it would be 30ish minutes so I went grocery shopping next door for 25 minutes before coming back in. I came back in at 2:20 pm. And sat. And waited. The woman at the desk went back twice to inquire what was going on. At one point I was alone in the reception area since everyone else had been seated. At 2:40 pm, after giving me a pack of candies as an apology, I got my food. FIFTY minutes for five dishes plus a side of fries. Come onnnnnnnn. What saved this review was the fact that the food was OUTSTANDING. The fried chicken was so crispy and moist - maybe even perfect - and the lechón kawali was greasy and oily (in the best way). So damned amazing. What blew me away was the garlic rice. Totally unexpected but I could eat that every day of my life. Also got pancit canton and the peanut stew. Please please work on your service, Max's team. Otherwise, no issues!

"Finally found my Filipino restaurant!!! I only ordered Uber eats but I can tell with the dish that I got that this place got their Filipino taste buds on point. I got the nilaga baka and liempo and it was delicious. I can't wait to try more dishes at this restaurant. I waited 1hr for my food and it was worth it."
"Had a very nice dinner here during the week with my friend. We ordered Crispy Pata, Sisig, Chicken Inasal, Balut, Batchoy, and Mais con Yelo. All of it was pretty good, although I personally just don't love the sisig here. Maybe it is Bacolod style? It didn't taste like the typical Pampanga one I'm used to, and I just wasn't that much of a fan. Everything else though, was excellent. Service was very attentive and both the ladies that come over to check on us, bring out our food, etc we're all sooo friendly. They suggested to come back with a big group to do their Kamayan style dinner which is something I've always wanted to do. I'm surprised this place doesn't have higher reviews, because I like it a lot and our service was excellent. I'll be back hopefully soon!"
"We had an absolute feast when we visited Max's RestaurantBring your appetite. The drinks will transport you to the tropics. For our drinks, we had the Mango and Calamansi (Philippine Lime). These were actually like slushies, the Calamansi was citrusy but sweet. Both were very refreshing and delicious. We started with the Calamari appetizer, which was fresh, tasty, and more than enough for two.We then ordered the Fiesta Platter (available on weekdays and dine in only). We couldn't believe our eyes at the size of it. It easily feeds 4 or 5.The Fiesta Platter consists of:Crispy PataChicken InasalInihaw Na LiempoLumpiang ShanghaiDaing Na BangusGrilled EggplantPancit BihonGarlic RiceEverything is cooked well done and crispy. Just the way we like it. For dessert, we ordered the Halo-Halo, which consists of:Macapuno (Coconut meat)MilkGulaman (gelatin)BeansShaved IceUbe PasteLeche FlanUbe Ice CreamRice CrispiesJack FruitBananaYou mix up or shake the ingredients before digging in. Such a delicious end to our meal. This could easily feed four as well. Service from our waitress, Jeanna, was excellent. They are right next to Seafood City, so there is plenty of parking. Enjoy a memorable feast of Philipino food at Max's Restaurant"
"This is a special place that screams delicious in every bite. We started with a Hot plate of sizzling sisig. The Fried rice is a must to compliment all the meat you will order. Order a variety of items to give yourself options to enjoy the next day. The service is great and as soon the food started to come it all came in a well timed manor to give us a chance to have a first taste of the food. Altogether a great experience and happy to come back as soon as possible."
"I was in the USN about 30 years ago and had my first experience of lumpia back then. There is nothing finer in life than when a flavor from way back comes to life again.I pulled in. Darted in. Ask if it was possible to get 20 count of lumpia. No. How about 25? Well sure I'll suffer for the good of humanity.Only $9.00 for 25! Great experience. In and out with deliciousness."
"I just had a simple, easy & inexpensive breakfast. 2 pieces of Bangus (fried fish), 2 eggs & 2 cups of garlic fried rice for $5.99. You can't beat that deal & best of all I ate half & brought the other half home for lunch. "SUCH A DEAL THEY HAVE FOR YOU". Not all meals are this inexpensive but if you like Bangus it's an awesome deal, tasty & inexpensive."
