Justine C. "Great diner spot if you're looking for some authentic Filipino style breakfast food. You could wait up to 10-15 minutes for a table if you're there during peak brunch hours, but the servers really work hard to clean up tables and take orders. I loved the combination meal with longanisa and tocino, but I opted for spam this time. Anything you get will always be a hit! The bill was about $45 plus tip. Highly recommend!"

Anthony M. "I am a little mixed on this place because I don't think filipino is really my thing. I will bump it up to 4 because I don't think anything went wrong, but I am just not a fan of this kind of food. We started with the getting all the grilled appetizers (minus the vegan option). The chicken, pork belly, and short ribs were all excellent. I would give a special shoutout to the short ribs which were better than I expected. The pork belly and chicken were pretty good too. The portions were also decently large. We also got the lumpia which is always a hit! I got the beef tongue for my main course which had some pretty good flavor, but was kind of mushy. This is probably how this is prepared so its probably more of a "me problem" than anything the restaurant did. We all also got garlic rice which we thought was a little too much garlic, but mellowed out with the addition of other meats and flavors. We ended with the fried sticky rice coconut balls which were good, but not extremely memorable. Still, it was a strong ending to a meal that I thought lagged a bit in the middle. It was also a little expensive. The menu seems a little too small and unless you really like filipino food, you are only going to have options in the applitizers. Honestly, that is survivable as I thought the grilled meats appetizers were tasty and I should have gotten more instead of the tongue. The other highlight was that the service was actually quite excellent. They were able to make recommendations, were attentive, and flexible with a few young kids we had. The place seems upscale, but is pretty cozy and has probably the best volume music I have heard at a restaurant. Not too loud, not too soft. Will I be back? Maybe. I would return to get the chicken, pork belly, lumpia, and short ribs, but that is the meal that I am making. I would suggest that to you if you are unsure.k"

Sherwin C. "I think for everyone who had the fortunate of having Asian parents or grandparents that cooked for them while growing up, Tita Mia invokes memories of lots of those flavorful, healthy(ish) comfort foods. Now if you combine this with a giant parking lots, beautiful huge dining room, reasonable prices (for the enormous portions), and fast friendly service you have a winner! You can't really go wrong with anything you order here as everything is pretty much between delicious to very delicious. The lechon kawali is nice and tender with a nice crisp on the skin and comes in a generous portion. The sizzling sisig is filled with umami, with the saltiness tempered down nicely by the onion. The pancit, whether stir fried or in a delicious soup is nice and slurpy and flavorful no matter what you pair it with. The desserts are also amazing here as well. The chocolate cake is full of lots of fudge and not too sweet. The flan is full of caramel, a bit thick but full of delicious eggy flavor and quite smooth. The ube crinkles are like little taro cookie cakes that are sweet and fragrant.Overall, a great place to get a great meal at a great price and be treated like you're family!"

Jacob J. "For catering needs:When the holidays arrive catering needs are required (especially when work/life gets too busy to cook). Subo has tasty options that can satisfy in a jiffy. The BBQ'd meat sticks, different types of filled & fried rolls and more. There's an ease to acquiring catering needs. No need to call several days ahead, they will accept orders that can be prepared and picked up within hours. Though I've noticed that when giving them more time to cook and prepare, quality is best. When having lesser times before pickup, quality is different depending on what's being prepared. Ie placing an order when they open and pickup later that afternoon. I've had catering order/pickup times both ways these past holidays. Good to go catering includes:Large orders of lumpia shanghai & or eggrolls. Pork or chicken BBQ skewers."

Andrew P. "Had a very nice dinner here during the week with my friend. We ordered Crispy Pata, Sisig, Chicken Inasal, Balut, Batchoy, and Mais con Yelo. All of it was pretty good, although I personally just don't love the sisig here. Maybe it is Bacolod style? It didn't taste like the typical Pampanga one I'm used to, and I just wasn't that much of a fan. Everything else though, was excellent. Service was very attentive and both the ladies that come over to check on us, bring out our food, etc we're all sooo friendly. They suggested to come back with a big group to do their Kamayan style dinner which is something I've always wanted to do. I'm surprised this place doesn't have higher reviews, because I like it a lot and our service was excellent. I'll be back hopefully soon!"

Jane V. "We had an absolute feast when we visited Max's RestaurantBring your appetite. The drinks will transport you to the tropics. For our drinks, we had the Mango and Calamansi (Philippine Lime). These were actually like slushies, the Calamansi was citrusy but sweet. Both were very refreshing and delicious. We started with the Calamari appetizer, which was fresh, tasty, and more than enough for two.We then ordered the Fiesta Platter (available on weekdays and dine in only). We couldn't believe our eyes at the size of it. It easily feeds 4 or 5.The Fiesta Platter consists of:Crispy PataChicken InasalInihaw Na LiempoLumpiang ShanghaiDaing Na BangusGrilled EggplantPancit BihonGarlic RiceEverything is cooked well done and crispy. Just the way we like it. For dessert, we ordered the Halo-Halo, which consists of:Macapuno (Coconut meat)MilkGulaman (gelatin)BeansShaved IceUbe PasteLeche FlanUbe Ice CreamRice CrispiesJack FruitBananaYou mix up or shake the ingredients before digging in. Such a delicious end to our meal. This could easily feed four as well. Service from our waitress, Jeanna, was excellent. They are right next to Seafood City, so there is plenty of parking. Enjoy a memorable feast of Philipino food at Max's Restaurant"

Order a variety of items to give yourself options to enjoy the next day. The service is great and as soon the food started to come it all came in a well timed manor to give us a chance to have a first taste of the food. Altogether a great experience and happy to come back as soon as possible."

Darted in. Ask if it was possible to get 20 count of lumpia. No. How about 25? Well sure I'll suffer for the good of humanity.Only $9.00 for 25! Great experience. In and out with deliciousness."

Phil S. "I just had a simple, easy & inexpensive breakfast. 2 pieces of Bangus (fried fish), 2 eggs & 2 cups of garlic fried rice for $5.99. You can't beat that deal & best of all I ate half & brought the other half home for lunch. "SUCH A DEAL THEY HAVE FOR YOU". Not all meals are this inexpensive but if you like Bangus it's an awesome deal, tasty & inexpensive."
