"We ordered:Pan Fried Smoked Pork CakeXiaoLongBaoNorthern style PancakeBeef Noodle SoupStir Fried Egg Plant Beijing styleShredded Pork with Bamboo ShootsMongolian LambWhole Fish with Sweet and Sour SauceChinese Salt and Pepper Pork RibsThe Northern style savory pancakes/buns at this restaurant are must-get appetizers whenever I come here. Beef noodle soup's broth is flavorful and the noodles are handmade. Egg plant tastes really good because it's cooked a little crispy. Mongolian Lamb was good but I recommend the cumin lamb more. Shredded pork and bamboo shoot's sauce is delicious mixed with rice. I'd also recommend shredded pork and bean curd.Probably the weakest dish was the salt and pepper pork ribs. Needs more seasoning.Service was good. They have a their own free parking lot - huge bonus. I like to say Potsticker house is the safest Chinese restaurant in Chicago because it's across the street from a police station!"
"Oops we did it again! We enjoyed Phat Phat so we brought friends with us for a repeat visit. We ordered everything we ordered on our previous visit, plus: beef stew, green beans, soup dumplings, phat phat chicken, won tons and chocolate bao. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. Our server was very efficient and our food was brought out fairly quickly. Our friends enjoyed phat phat as much as we did and though we first thought we over ordered--we demolished it all.We are well on our way to becoming phat phat but we couldn't be happier!"
"We made it to the South Loop location of MingHin (with the easy to remember address of 1234 S Michigan Ave, just south of Roosevelt) on a late Saturday afternoon. We had places to go afterwards, so we booked a 5PM reservation for 4 people. Everything was handled efficiently, including our ordering of dim sum items on a tablet. Even though the ordering process was a bit automated and cold, someone was checking in on our table throughout our dining experience. We were always supplied with hot tea and ice water. We ordered seven different items, and everything was tasty and came out promptly. Our selections - flaky BBQ pork turnovers, sticky rice, siu mai, pan fried corn and pork cake (more of a dumpling than a cake!), shrimp dumpling with green chive, fried crabmeat and seaweed roll, and stir-fried flat noodles with beef - offered a nice variety of tastes and textures for our group."
"Finally came back here after 7 years. Had to upgrade my review from a 3 to a 5 star. I think coming here on a busy weekend like Chinese new years made the service not so good last time. This time around, we were able to get a table without having to wait and received relatively quick service and most importantly delicious food. This tablet placed on the table was a little confusing at first, especially if you want to order from the Dim Sum menu. I accidentally left an order of potstickers in my cart on the tablet, and it was brought to my table along with my dim sum order of pot stickers. Whoops! Luckily I love pot stickers so no biggie, but something to be careful about. Aside from the Pot Stickers, we ordered their Short Rib w/ honey sauce, Fried Sticky Rice, BBQ Pork Crepe, and Steamed BBQ Pork Bun. Everything was delicious. I was really surprised on how great the BBQ Pork Crepe was. The steamed bbq pork bun is always a family favorite. The sticky rice tasted a little fishy but still delicious. Will definitely be returning, hopefully a lot sooner than 7 years!"
"This place brings back a lot of good memories, I tried them first when I used to live in Chicago. Decided to come back during a recent trip to the Windy City. Loved the food and ambience!!"
"Featured in Chicago's iconic eats. A upscale Chinese bakery. All the items are behind glass and labeled with prices. I got the almond cupcake for $2.85. It was fluffy moist and delicious. Everyone was buying multiple items and eating them on the spot at the counter. They also sell bao in bulk in the fridge section. They also have soy, mango putting, cake slices, and various drinks including lychee. They have your rational custard tarts and all kinds of cookies and pastries.I highly recommend this place for their selection and great prices. Just a note it's a cash business."
"Situated inside the food court next to 88 Marker, this place offers piping hot, delicious dim sum at a great price. Order at the counter, takes about 10-15 minutes to pick up. Just a tip, you will be charged 3% extra for using card. My favorites were: 1) Siu Mai 烧卖 $5.492) Corn Dumpling with Shrimp 鲜虾粟米饼 $5.493) BBQ rice crepe 叉烧肠粉 $5.29The only thing I didn't like were the Taro Dumplings with pork and shrimp. It was very dense, dry and bland."
"When I was sent here for orange chicken, I was surprised at the flavor. I was not expecting to taste orange! The sauce was perfect. The chicken was fresh, not over battered and not over seasoned! The next time I order any breaded chicken I would ask for any sauce on the side. I love the crunchy texture and if I could get crunch out of every bite, I would be a happy eater! The steamed rice was very fluffy. The egg rolls had large chunks of pork and nice blend of veggies. The crab Rangoon also had a large amount of crab blended with the cheese which also had a great flavor. This was my first time here and when I'm back in Chicago, I will bring friends and family!"
"My lovely wife and I attended a fine dim sum brunch with family at Dolo Restaurant on Archer, located sort of on the edge of the busier areas of Chinatown. Dolo has its own small parking lot for customers, and a few choice parking spots along Archer too. My cousin made a Saturday reservation for our party of 9, and so we were rewarded with one of the primo private dining spaces in the back. We ordered such a variety of dishes, with something to satisfy everyone's palates. My love absolutely adored the shrimp dumplings, while the BBQ pork chow mein hit the right notes for me as my older relatives distinctly remembered that I loved chow mein ever since I was a wee lad. Instead of elbowing others for precious real estate in the main dining area (quite busy as you would expect on a Saturday), our family brunch at Dolo was all good times thanks to yummy food, colorful stories, and warm hugs."

This place is a hidden gem in Bridgeport. I love the spicy beef noodle soup and the soup dumplings. I also like the pan-fried smoked pork cake. I've also had the sweet and sour beef and that was delicious. I normally do not have to wait for a table and there's also free parking.

TL;DR 4.5 Great food & service with MASSIVE food portions! My family and I used to visit Lulu's all the time when they were down the street, after they closed down everyone was bummed out. So happy they're back! Ambiance: Lulu's is now part of a triple restaurant combo with a shared kitchen & offerings for all of them. I believe the other 2 are Tex-mex and bar food. The place has kind of a nice pub feel which is a bit of a juxtaposition for Thai fusion but it is nicely appointed and comfortable.Service: Our server was very kind and warm, and always appeared at the perfect moment to help us out. Food came out INSANELY fast and was hot and fresh.Food: We had the poke and wings as appetizers and both were very large and tasty. Wings were sticky, sweet, hot and savory... perfect with a beer. The poke comes with delicious rice and could easily be someone's entree and they'd be very happy with it.Happy to say our fam favorite entree (the ginger chicken salad) is just as I remember if not better due to the fact that it seems to have doubled in size! We all laughed when the salad came out cause it was so massive. I ate for 15 min and took home a doggie bag filled with an entire meal, needless to say the value is great.Look forward to returning and bringing my mom since it was here favorite salad of all time.

I had reviewed this fine establishment before, but once again, for whatever reason, my review is no longer listed (even though it was not a negative or bad review). Phat Phat is a good pan Asian restaurant that serves Chinese and Indonesian dishes. They are known for their Baos and Indonesian dishes such as Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng. In my previous visits, I had their Sheng Jian Bao, Chocolate Bao, Hong Kong Mee Noodles w/ seafood in XO sauce, and Nasi Goreng. On my current visit, we ordered Crispy Fish in Egg Floss, Wok Fired Hong Kong Mee Noodles with Chicken and Vegetables, Spicy Szechuan Xiao Long Bao with pork, shrimp and Szechuan black peppercorn; Golden Sheng Jian Bao with chicken and shrimp, shrimp fried rice, Lychee margarita, and Strawberry Coconut bubble tea. The food arrived in a short time. It looked good and smelled delicious. I enjoyed trying all the dishes we ordered. The flavors of each dish were exquisite. My favorite items were the Spicy Szechuan bao and the crispy fish dish. The Lychee margarita was very good and refreshing. I asked for hot chili oil, which added a nice flavor profile to some of the dishes I had. The food was fresh and cooked well. The service was good and had been in the past well. Their menu has a good variety, and the pricing is reasonable given inflation and all. They also have some drink specials posted by their bar area, which are worth checking out. The decor of the restaurant is nice and inviting. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and well-lit. I definitely recommend checking out Phat Phat when you are in the mood for Asian cuisine.

Good place to grab a quick biteApparently they are popular for their domain, but we just got their Chinese broccoli and stir fried noodles. Both were good but were lacking a bit in flavor. I really enjoyed the broccoli after adding some salt/soy sauce

Authentic dim sum.Seriously speaking, you know you're in for a treat when you not only see reviews raving about a place but have people of the culture of the restaurant munching away happily. That said, we had landed in Chicago, checked into the hotel, and three of us (myself included) were debating where to go get lunch. We wound up choosing to go to Chinatown as we had one member in our group not feeling her best and she wanted some soup.We ended up ordering a bunch of plates. Some soup, shrimp crepes, shumai, shrimp rolls, BBQ pork buns, and egg custard tarts adorned our table. When I say we ate like queens, we honestly and truly did. We even had minor leftovers and had we had microwaves at the hotel, I would have at least jumped to keep these leftovers. To think I had been to Chicago before this trip and not gone to Chinatown - that is a real travesty. Luckily that's been remedied and this restaurant was a legit joy. I only wish we had had the traditional dim sum carts.

Portions huge, options endless, food fresh & flavorful, service superior and prices are on point. I really really loved this place - precisely what I'm looking for in an Asian restaurant. The broth for the green peppercorn chicken was addictive. The crispy chicken bites were sweet and spicy. The dumplings were delicious. There was a robot to deliver food but our waitress was super attentive and informative - loved her. My drink was pretty strong

Absolutely love Chiu Quon. I used to go several times every week to get my fixing. And the quality of anything has only improved thru the years. One of the best values still in all of Chinatown I like a combination of the pineapple and BBQ bun. It's the best combination I thought. Also like the big bao (steamed). The steamed items are usually the best kept secret. Dimsum, and the white baos are fabulous. Great value vs the restaurant They are cash only so be prepared for that. The staff is friendly and speaks fluent English for those of us ABCs that gets words confused. Not a seating kind of bakery, just take and go. Also have a location off Argyle st

No frills dim sum in the food court of 88 Marketplace. You don't come here for the service because it's self service, but the food here is incredible - better than most of the full service dim sum places near here.

"Located very closely to Millenium Park! A bit hidden away, but a very spacious restaurant that's great for groups. My cousin told me this was ome of her favorites, and I can see why :) A cool spot to checkout while in Downtown Chicago.Egg Drop Soup with Straw Mushroom (4/5): A little bland, but big portions for the price! They don't skimp on the mushrooms too. A pretty comforting soup that started our meal.Roast Pork Belly (5/5): SOOOO JUICY! I loved this. Thick cuts of pork. Good quality and the skin is crispy too. I think that this was a big highlight of my meal. Tea & Tea (5/5): The bartender has a HEAVY HAND and I'm here for it. They didn't skimp on the alchol in this. It reminded me of a massive green tea shot or a midori sour. Great drink!Chicken Feet with Special Sauce (5/5): The sauce was really tasty! Each chicken foot was tender and well steamed. Savory and each piece soaked up all the flavor! Probably the best item on the menu!Rice Noodle Rolls (3/5): These noodle rolls were too thick for me :( I wish that they were thinner and highlighted the contents inside more. The shrimp was cooked well and the Youtiao soaked up the sweet soy sauce perfectly. Just a bummer about the noodles."
"Really great service, really great sushi, and great prices! This is a welcome addition to the little Italy neighborhood. We had 4 of the simple rolls and they were all good. We loved the little bag it came in as well as great quality chopsticks and soy sauce. The inside of the restaurant was cute as well.Give this new place some love!"
"We came here for a group dinner to celebrate a visit from some out of town extended family. It was a headcount of 28 meaning a 3 table reservation on a very busy Saturday night here. With a week's notice, there really aren't a lot of choices for staying out in the NW suburbs and hosting a big group for authentic Chinese. But MingHin worked and they got the job done for us. Our outing was in the ok category. We pre-ordered a customized menu, and a thank you to manager Jeff who helped us with this. Dishes like the stir-fried lobster, ribeye steak with mixed mushrooms, string beans with minced pork, salt-and-pepper shrimp with no shells, Mandarin pork chops, and steamed large mouth bass were very good. Dishes like the Chinese whole fried chicken and Peking duck were a little dry, looked slightly undersized, and could have been better. The Peking duck buns were warm and delectable though and the grand-darlings would have eaten them all if we let them lol. The udon noodles with shredded duck meat was a bit salty. The seafood and tofu soup was ok. We requested a big bowl of white rice but should have done so at the get-go instead of after the halfway point. Service was adequate but pretty impersonal with rotating servers. It was busy for everyone but also quite a fun and festive atmosphere. We all had a good time catching up and were never rushed. Overall, I'll go with 3.49 stars rounded down to 3 for this outing."
"MingHin is one of my favorite spots in Chicago. I can always count on this place for a great meal and a nice dining experience. We love their dim sum and noodle dishes. Reasonably priced given their location. You order on an iPad and there are photos of everything if you aren't familiar."
"I love this place. They're on my corner. My favorites include:Salt and pepper tofuSesame chicken Walnut shrimpThey also host fun events like Drag Shows (Dim Sum & Drag)! This is a huge space, perfect for hosting a large event with close proximity to Argyle St. Highly recommend. Great for dining in or take-out."
"Dim Sum House is a hidden gem for frozen dim sum items such as siu mai (pork wrapped with dumpling wrapper). I usually go in to buy a pack of 20 frozen piece's for $8. They have other items listed at wholesale prices to anyone. Keep in mind they only take cash and there is no ATM nearby. Highly recommend."
"We were looking for an authentic, casual and non spicy Chinese restaurant in Lincoln Park and this seemed to be the only one because it serves dim sums. So we went. It overall did not disappoint us! Restaurant was clean and bright and felt homey. Service was excellent during our visit. The dim sum menu is small but covers the classic ones. The time to get the dim sums on the table was slow but that's because the dim sums were made to order according to the menu. Not the best dim sums that I've had, but I am from Guangdong where dim sums are from haha. The quality is definitely decent and serves the craving."
"I have been coming to phoenix for over 2 decades and through their different owners. This is still my go to spot in the city for dim sum despite a lot of competition. This has even been my go to spot on Christmas and Christmas Eve.Despite cooks and owners changing the quality has remained top notch! This is authentic food and incredible dim sum. They used to do the carts back in the day and no longer do it. While the menu has slimmed down over the years it makes sense only to offer the most popular items. As with all Chinatown restos, parking is a challenge so be prepared.Pricing has remained very reasonable over the years too."
"We got a couple bread and century egg congee for breakfast. The cage was PACKED. The food was still so good and the price is unbeatable for everything we got it cost us about 9 dollars and it filled us to the brim. It is as authentic as it gets. Cash only! Most of the item is in Chinese."
"Hidden gem! Love their lobster noodles and dim sum for lunch. They also have a big selection of baked goods when you first walk in the restaurant - I highly recommend their paper wrapped cake and sesame ball with red bean paste"
"Second time visiting and I came with a dear friend. The wait was minimal. Maybe 11-15 minutes. We were sat and the server was available and attentive. We didn't feel rushed and pressured to ordered. When we had questions, our server knew the answer. The lamb and coriander dumplings were amazing. Like just amazing. There's zero need for a sauce. It was incredibly juicy on the inside and the flavor did not miss! We also a serving of the braised beef in brown sauce appetizers. You'd think for a cold dish, it would be chewy or tough. Nope! Melted in your mouth and there was a tiny tiny bit of spice. The serving was pretty nice for the price paid. I'd recommend ordering if you're one to eat red meat."
"Wonderful dim sum selection. Has shu mei, fried turnip cake and steamed ribs with black beans. All were ample sized dishes and very tasty. The pot of jasmine tea was a perfect beverage accompaniment"
"Din sum all the way. They also have lunch plates if you flip over the menu. They bring your orders on carts, but don't wheel around carts with premade dim sum. You order by checking off what you want on the menu. S, m, lg, xlg. As they deliver they check it off. The dim sum arrived hot and fresh. We also ordered hand pulled noodles from the lunch menu and for $3 more we added American broccoli to the dish, unfortunately the dish arrived lukewarm and the broccoli was cool. It was still good and a healthy serving.I highly recommend this restaurant. We arrived at around 1pm on a Friday and people continued to arrive all thru lunch. The food was very tasty and the portions were a good size. The food was very fresh. They only use the bamboo steamers once, so no worries about hygienic. The toilets have seat coverings and there is a foot pull to open the door so you don't have to touch the door after washing your hands. You walk into the restaurant on the ground floor and walk up to the seating area as you pass the fountain. All seating is upstairs and if you time it right you can get a bay window seat."
"I've been in this area for a few years now & I finally made it in here with my partner. Everyone who came in and out of the restaurant the night we were here were Asian so we both assumed the food must be at least somewhat good! Our server, "Eason" according to the receipt was actually super friendly accommodating for us during our dining experience here so a big thanks to him! We were served tea at the beginning as usually expected and given menus. The food: we ordered 4 different dishes, as shown in the photos. The Salt & Pepper Shrimp w/ Shell on, The Salted fish & chicken rice, & Eggplant w/ Garlic Sauce were all a solid 8/10 although we'd rate the Crab Meat Fish Maw Soup about a 7.5 because we felt for the $19 price point, they could've given us a bit more crab in the order. Lastly, the server was kind enough to ask if we wanted fortune cookies or red bean dessert. We chose the red bean dessert and it was delicious! Overall, great and quick service, big portions, and alcoholic beverages server. Would definitely come back!"
"This a small and simple bakery but so good! Pretty much go in and out and the service is swift. The food was great! Most things are $2.50 and below. Also, don't forget, it's classic and cash only. The egg custard bun was delicious and the bbq pork steam bun is great! Can't wait to come back!"
