Beautiful, comfortable atmosphere. Amazing Ethiopian-inspired cuisine. Chef Winnie is always so gracious. Chef Winnie's Kitchen is a true gem in the Clarkston neighborhood! Go! You'll be happy you went.

I've been waiting for Chef Winnie's to find a new home for quite some time. So happy to find time to visit her new, brightly lit location in Clarkston. Menu has wonderful options for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores. Lunch and dinner size servings. I opted for Salmon Awaze and a side of shiro. Full of flavor (on the spicy side so make sure you ask if you like to eat on the medium or mild side). I encourage everyone to try this local restaurant.Enjera perfect. Small side salad.

For those that do not know, Chef Winnie's Kitchen has a new location. The new facility is beautiful with plenty of seating. The food is still as amazing as always. And of course, you will always be treated with love and the wonderful kindness and great hospitality that only Chef Winnie can provide. Bring the family, church group, outing with your friends, or any special occasion. You will not be disappointed. Be sure to finish your meal with the coffee or tea service. You will be guaranteed to leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face.

I went to the new location of Chef Winnie's yesterday for lunch with a friend and we had a great time. I usually don't go to a restaurant within the first month of opening because of all the inevitable issues they have to figure out, but my friend heard very good reviews from friends and we decided to give it a go. I'm glad we did! The new space is big and bright, with giant windows all around. They were offering two sampler dishes, one vegetarian and one with meat, so we got one of each. Everything was so richly flavored that we seriously over-ate, and we still had enough to bring some home. It's also fun to eat with your hands and not get funny looks from the other table...

Was just in for the first time. After coming off the MTN. looking for something healthy stumbled upon this place after searching Yelp. Soo glad I did. Actually got to meet "Chef" she's very sweet, warm and inviting. Which for Me always makes for a more enjoyable dining experience. The place is Bright and Open and inviting and the food is delicious. I had the vegetarian plate , with Collards, red lentils, potatoes and carrots and another lentil with injera? The soft bread used as utensils for the food. Yes you have to make sure your hands are clean as they are the utensils. I didn't take a photo But I will return soon as I assured "Chef" and I'm leaving my review as I said I would. Very glad to have another healthy option on the Eastside!

This is a new spot and the chef (who really is a one woman show) said they were 6 mths old. We had jackfruit and beef awaze tibs and both were amazing. Friend also tried curry chicken but the ribs were definitely better for flavor and made absolutely fresh to order. Would go back for more!Of note, place is hidden and we had to call her to find it.

Came here awhile back looking for something wholesome in the neighborhood. Pulled up and it looked like a little house in the back. Out walks this little sweet lady who offered us menus, and also helped explain the menu. Of course the lady turned out to be Chef Winnie, who actually runs the spot all by herself. Pretty impressive! We ordered 2 different meat tibs and they were both pretty good. I forgot what sides we had, but the food was hot and fresh!I will be back with more feedback!

My friends and I stumbled upon this place while we were in Clarkston and it is INCREDIBLE. This is hands down some of the best food I've ever had. From the moment we walked in Chef Winnie immediately made us feel welcome. She recommended this delicious combination of entrees for our group of four to share and it was plenty of food. I would order everything on this platter again, but the awaze tibs and alicha tibs chicken were to die for. Get the ginger tea too! This is the perfect place to come with friends and family and order family style. We will definitely be back!

All glass building, new, clean, bright, classical music playing, spacious. Food was on the bland side, I think they cater more to westerners, they make quesadillas as well. They don't answer their phone even as it rings audibly inside the restaurant even when it's quiet. Overall didn't enjoy but it's also very very difficult to make Ethiopian food. If too authentic and bold, westerners will shy away I sympathize but not for me.
