Brunch & Sunday Funday If you're coming for brunch - make reservations. Two hour limit on your reservation & they keep to it if it's really busy. Food and Drinks may be a bit overpriced but still good! I had the chicken and waffles, my friends had the Caesar salad with salmon, catfish and grits, and shrimp and grits. No complaints about our food. We did also order some fries and they were good. Brunch vibe was pretty good but stay longer for Sunday funday and you will definitely enjoy yourself.

Chapman & Kirby let us know, "Never leave Houston on a Sunday!" And our flight was at 8am on Sunday, haha.My friend and I made a reservation online for around 7pm on a Saturday. We were actually the first people in the restaurant which was fine was us. We were greeted by the bartender who was also our waiter, very nice man. Great service. The restaurants aesthetics are on point! Even the bathroom is nice; and you HAVE to take a photo before entering. We started off with two tequila shots as the night was just beginning. They have a pretty good cocktail list and prices are fairly cheap. For food, we ordered with their bang bang shrimp, mac and cheese, fries and caesar salad. I love a bar with good food! Music was playing in the background and wasn't too loud so you can still have a conversation. My friend and I sat and chatted for a good 2+ hours before we decided to visit nearby bars. When we're back in Houston, we will make sure to visit on a SUNDAY and take a flight back home on a Tuesday!

Stepped out with my crew, all of us young professionals looking to unwind after a long week, we hit up Chapman and Kirby, drawn in by its cool vibe and the kind of music that keeps the night alive. I went for the catfish and grits, which was straight-up delicious, though I gotta say, the portion size left me wanting more. My friends, though, were all about it, already talking about when we're coming back before we even left. The night was a hit, filled with good laughs and an energy that's hard to find just anywhere. Chapman and Kirby really held it down, making sure our night was nothing short of great. Definitely a spot that was hit up for anyone looking to keep it lively and enjoy some quality time with their people.

Chapman & Kirby! Was a good night out to end my trip! It was very nice and the dj was awesome! This is the spot to go to on a Saturday night and brunch Sundays is fun! It's very spacious inside and you can get a bottle/section if you want. I had a great time here did not want to leave. I did not try the food but it the options look good and they are known for a good brunch. I recommend here if you want to have a good time and enjoy yourself in Houston put it in your bookmark. Parking is scan and pay and can be $12-30 depending on how long you stay. The lot is right across the street from restaurant. -Marshay D.

Disaster from the call on the ride over until walking in the door. It ceases being a disaster minutes after walking in. Why, do you ask? Because they weren't even open, even though the doors were unlocked while person after person continued to walk in. Now I actually called on the way over and inquired about valet. The lady on the phone I could hear her asking someone a question I asked about the charge. You'd think that would have been the perfect opportunity for her to let me know they weren't open that Saturday night. Also wasn't listed on social media or anywhere else I looked that because they were hosting (or had hosted earlier in the day) a large brunch gathering, they were going to be closed that night. That would have saved me and the person I met the ridiculous valet that we both paid. This man literally took my car, turned it around and parked it on the corner by the stop sign and handed me my keys backed. And before he did that, I asked the lady as I was exiting my vehicle, how late they stayed out there. Which she seemed to imply they would be there until very late. And yep, you guessed it, when we got back not even 2 hours later, they were gone. Now, after that stunned foolishness, we go inside and the place is dead, empty...I mean, where's the ppl? It might not be brunch but it's still Saturday night in EaDo! "Oh we're closed." then why is the door unlocked, sir? and again, we were not the only ones as we were standing outside trying to figure out where to pivot. Next door which apparently, is same owner, was open but it was almost dead in there as well. We stayed and ate but that experience was not good. The waiter did not know anything about the drinks, said the bartender also didn't know anything about the drinks; how does that work? The service was also subpar due to the fact only one waiter was attending to all the tables. The manager eventually stepped in. The food was ok but then I was charged much more for my entree than the menu stated. They went back and forth a while about this before changing it. Fix your menu, there is nothing to discuss here! I'm not returning to either establishment, brunch or any other night or day.

We came here on a Sunday ( MLK Weekend) with a large group of 10. I strongly suggest making a reservation and paying extra to be seated inside . Especially if your coming on Sunday evening or when it's cold. The vibe was great the music was poppin, we had a great time. The waitresses were all cute and provided good customer service . It was a vibe . We actually came for brunch and came back Sunday evening for the real turn up. The breakfast tacos were trash. The shrimp & grits were fire . The mimosa tower was good we had about 6, definitely recommend getting that . The lines for the woman's bathroom were outrageous , don't wait till the last minute. The parking was terrible so be prepared for that . I would definitely come back here.

I had to knock a star down. While our food and the vibe is what it was since the first I went , I get better service at the bar than at the table. Marshay as sweet as she was , was not attentive at all. She never asked us if we needed anything else, no notice of telling us when our food was coming out . She tried to serve us plastic cups with an $85 mimosa tower and we had to get glasses from another waitress along with other things . She mostly hung out in the front by the front door . Very disappointing to say the least but what can I expect when you're automatically charged 20% tip, then you don't have to work for it .

Never leave Houston on a Sunday!Chapman & Kirby did not disappoint for brunch one bit! We got there at 1pm and didn't leave until 9pm.So grateful we got a section but we ended up canceling it because it was so hot outside and we were able to get bar seating under the AC. We ate first, the food did not disappoint. The atmosphere in there went UP, you hear me! They have hookah and the DJ was had the hits playing. There is really no more I can say about this place because words do it no justice. Just go on a Sunday and I guarantee you will not regret it. If you are flying out on Sunday just make sure you have a late flight because you will not want to leave.

I received pleasant attention and service, and the food was extremely delicious. The drinks were excellent, and the bar service was very good. I prefer visiting on days when they open early. For those who enjoy a lot of movement, dancing, and drinking until they can't take it anymore, Sundays are not a bad option, but it's not my style. Generally, I recommend this place, especially if you're looking to host events for your family or company. The valet parking is excellent, and I agree with the quality of service and price.
