An update to my previous review on 7/20/19. After frequenting Chapala over the past year, their food has only improved. The service is always on target, attentive without smothering.They continue to upgrade the dining area, new booths and decorations. I have taken many friends and family members and they always want to go back to Chapala any chance they get!

What a pleasant experience! We decided to try their breakfast meals so arrived there late on a weekday morning. We ordered the breakfast burrito and huervos rancheros. Without asking out came the chips and salsa. Nice! Both meals soon came out and they were quite good. The burrito was loaded with egg and potatoes. The green sauce was a bit spicy but I soon became used to it (with a little ice water) and I ate the whole thing. Excellent! The huervos rancheros was also quite good. Pricing was moderate not high at all. By the way they have an excellent menu which has just about everything you might want in a mexican restaurant. We are anxious to return to try their lunch and dinner dishes. Inside this place was quite clean and very attractive. There are many booths and they are padded not bare wood or iron seating. And for a big plus there are 7 tv screens spread throughout the place tuned to sports channels. Service was great though with our wait person there was a bit of a language problem. We needed egg whites in the huervos meal and someone else working there explained that to our wait person. Nice people! As we ate more of the lunch crowd started to come in and we could tell this was a popular place for lunch. Anyway we took a few photos before it was crowded and that included my burrito dish. Overall a nice place to go and we shall return!

Chapala has turned into our go-to Mexican restaurant in the area. They do a great job bringing food out hot and in a timely manner, have decent prices, and there's usually not a wait. Our go to is the fajitas!

Had lunch with the gals and I ordered a mojarra frita. Was dreaming of it and had it plain with no tortillas or sauce. They fried it to perfection and it was so delish. The avocados were yum and not mushy. The tomato was fresh and crisp. Fries were well seasoned and not too salty which I appreciate. The server brought a plate for bones. And the rice this time had a great flavor. It was cooked in something because the taste was infused in the rice. Clean and bright in the restaurant. And they turned the air down a mite as it was freezing. Server polite and friendly. So glad we came,

Food has been delicious every single time I've been here, strawberry basil margarita is my go to. Service could be better, we had to flag down a waitress to order, after about 15 minutes of waiting with no acknowledgement . Once she appeared she was great. dinner hours get very busy, which is a good sign in my opinion . The decor is cute .

Did a google search for Mexican restaurants. This place came up along our route and it's open till 10 pm so we stopped here for dinner. They give you free chips and salsa with free refills! Portions were large and we all had leftovers. Heard they had the best quesadillas birria tacos so I decided to try it. It was crispy, the meat was tender and the consume was good, not greasy. My friends got a variety of foods. They got some type of steak, combo platter, veggie burrito, deluxe burrito. Everyone enjoyed all their food. It was served quickly and has a cool vibe. The server was friendly though he didn't speak much English.

My mom was craving seafood on her visit so of course I had to take her to one of my bookmarked locations. As first timers, we all had a great experience. Not only were the food and drinks incredible but the service is A1!The first sign of a good Mexican restaurant is their complimentary chips & salsa. They were sooo good we asked for an extra round and even took the left overs. My mom & I also got a Michelada w/ Negra Modelos. With this heat it definitely hit the spot! My mom ordered the Coctel de Camarones, my cousin the camarones al la diabla, and I ordered the mojarra frita. All dishes are pretty big we all took left overs home. You really cannot go wrong! Small warning, these Camarones a la diabla are REALLY a la diabla lol, meaning they are spicyyyy! Delicious experience, I will be visiting again!
