Im always hunting for a good cupcake. They are oddly hard to find. I was really excited that she doesn't use American buttercream, but instead, swiss buttercream! It's less sweet and more creamy, and I feel far superior. I got keylime and german chocolate cake, and my guy got the mocha flavored one.Keylime was the least favorite. I feel the error was making the cake itself lime flavored. It came off more like a lime skittle. Maybe a Graham cracker inspired cake or vanilla cake with a lime curd in the middle and a merigne frosting on or vanilla buttercream would have translated better. It just tasted too artificial for me.The german chocolate cake had a great balance in its flavors. The toppings were amazing, but the cake itself was a little dry and dense. The mocha had the best balance, where both the frosting was delicious and the cake was moist. I dont normally like mocha, but it was not too strong in coffee flavor for me. This may be a con for some, though. They get a solid 4 because of their frosting type, and she was also so very nice and welcoming. The flavors change weekly.

I don't know how to describe how amazing everything was. We ordered a vanilla cake and vanilla and chocolate cupcakes for my husband's 50th birthday. We throw parties all the time we have never had everything eaten and people asking who made this. Delicious moist and I am not sure if the frosting is made of *** whatever your addiction is but I am in love. Thank you so much! Can't wait for our next event!!!

I called CEG to order a birthday cake for a company board dinner. It was an easy process, super friendly and quick. Picking up the cake was easy, instructions for parking and where the bakery is located we're easy to follow. I ordered a 9" Dutch chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream. When I picked it up I was so caught up in conversation that I didn't realize it was a 6" cake. Once I got back to my office, I called and again, super friendly and accommodating. She offered to make cupcakes in the same flavor and drop them off to me which was so above and beyond- I was really happy with the outcome. From the feedback I received, everyone loved the cake!!

My wife and I love CEG Bakery! They made our wedding cake and an adorable rainbow pound cake for our anniversary! They always impress us, Theirs team is friendly, communicative, and try their very best to give you what you want!. The shop is charming, recently renovated, and you can even see them at work. My first cake I had done by this black own business was my Anniversary cake. Which the inside of it was rainbow and the outside a stick figure drawing of me and my wife. Every since then me and my wife was hook on this bakery. Love the environment and great service. Each time I went in with a specific way I wanted it to look. They always accomplish the task. They have done our Wedding cake, Birthdays, and cupcakes for my sister baby shower. They always look and taste amazing.Thanks

What a delightful, joyous surprise to get this recommendation from a friend. I'm adamant about supporting local businesses, but in particular, women-led black-owned businesses. CEG did not disappoint!When I went in yesterday to pick up my son's birthday cake, the shop smelled heavenly and I made sure to tell them so. the cake was delicious, made on time and with extreme care. I literally wanted to buy up the entire store but only had time to pick up the cake and keep going with my errands. please support this business and keep them going! 9 years and running.

Their treats are consistently delicious! I have been coming here for years. The parking is free behind the building, and the service is welcoming and helpful! I believe this is family owned and operated by 2 women. From cupcakes, lemon bars , cookies, macaroons, to special order cakes, the list is endless. They are open to a challenging order - which I have with a picky eater. Always a treat to stop by and get something yummy for myself and friends.

So happy I discovered this bakery! It's Black and women owned which I believe is more important than ever to support! More importantly the food and service is great. I ordered cupcakes for work. Specifically, key lime and fudge. They have delicious centers and were easy crowd pleasers. I ordered and paid online a couple days in advance, and they were ready in cute wrapping as soon as I walked in the bakery. The staff were pleasant and helpful. They also were masked and maintaining social distancing. Parking is easy in the apartments retail parking attached to the store. Highly recommend for drop in or large orders!

OMG!!! I've been wanting to try CEG for sometime and today was my first visit. Upon entry I received a warm welcome by the owner she was very sweet and patient. Everything looked so tasty and inviting I didn't know where to start. My eyes were bigger than my stomach in my mind I wanted to buy one of Everything, but I knew that wasn't the right move. So I went with two cupcakes. Vanilla Vanilla and mama's pound cake. Both were delicious and moist with great flavors throughout. The icing alone was delicious by itself. I love the fact you can see all the goodies being made through the glass window. Those ladies can bake their buns off. I would definitely patronize this small owned business again to try different bakery items. Because the customer service here is top tier.
