Casi Cielo , a vibrant spot, ideal for catching up with friends on a Friday night while enjoying exceptional Mezcal flights, cocktails, and the most authentic Oaxacan cuisine in Atlanta.Everything we sampled was truly authentic and prepared with a unique twist, unlike any Mexican food we've experienced before.The Mezcal Flight earned some good reviews on the table The Smokey Old Fashion was perfect!!The La Llorona had that right jalapeño kick My favorite - The Chilerita ( I am definitely going back for this one )We tried the Guacamole - great flavors and texture Enchiladas Verdes -Flavored chicken inside blue corn tortillas , cooked to perfection.. Tuetano - Most amazing presentation of the roasted beef on the marrow ( with chimichurri flavor) Salmon Prehispanico - Wrapped in plantain leaf and tortilla dough. Served with mashed potatoes.PATO CON MOLE NEGRO Duck carnitas, red onions, cilantro, black mole. Served with rice and black beans. Dined in for dinner and had a great experience. Our waitress was superb and described each dish in great detail. The staff was also very accomodating to my toddler. My party and I decided to eat family-style so that we can try all the dishes. We had pulpo, pork belly, duck, and steak. All portions were generous and unique. My family enjoyed all the dishes.Chips and salsa are complimentary but you may have to ask for it. I noticed that all the other tables had some, but I was not offered it until I asked.

What can I do if I am a fan of Casi Cielo! I yet have to find something they don't do well! From the drinks, to the food and the desserts everything is just awesome. I love their service. Our waitress on Saturday night (forgot the name) was so kind and on top of everything. Our friends tried it for the first time and loved it just as much! The atmosphere was casual and trendy as always! Did not have time to take pics, that's how far we ate! Try and share a rare Entrecôte! The bread pudding...the octopus...the marinated halibut....the chicken mole....the salmon!!!!!!!

This is one of our favorite places to have a nice dinner and drinks. We come here often, but on this visit, they had a new specials menu and we decided to try almost everything on it. Our favorite of the new specials was the Chile Jaguar, the flavor was bright, fresh, and delicious. The guacamole is one of our go to orders. Also, don't miss out on the rumchata.

What a fantastic venue!!Atmosphere was hoppin, trendy, open, and hip, the food was some of the best I have ever eaten, bold, artisan, and full of fantastic combinations, however you are going to pay for what you get... it is on the high side.Our service was outstanding... we never wanted for anything and they didn't hover. The place was full and rockin, but somehow they managed to come around just enough.We started with chips and salsa like any Mexican Food place but the salsa was AMAZING! The right combination of heat, flavored, freshness, and consistency. It was a sign of good things to come!Then we had an appetizer of the Tostada pork belly. Seriously.. OOOH MY GODDIE... IT WAS SO AMAZINGLY TOO HOTTIE! A symphony in my mouth of the best combinations of flavors I have ever had. This might be the singularly most delicious dish I have ever eaten. The flavors exploded with ecstasy as I chewed. If for no other reason you have to come and try this!After this I thought that the main meals would fall short. There was no way that anything else could come close. They proved me wrong. Everything was outstanding. What a find... a truly spectacular meal in every way! Yes it is pricey, but it delivers out of this world food!

A friend and I went to Casi Cielo for their birthday lunch a couple of Fridays ago. I had never been before and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was a rainy sort of Friday but we asked to be seated on the deck and the manager happily lowered one of the windows for us, with the understanding that if it were to start raining harder, we might get a little wet. We were fine with that and we appreciated their flexibility, since my friend is at risk and still observing stricter Covid restrictions. Being able to sit on the patio with some airflow made all the difference. On to the food. Here's what we ordered: To share: PULPO AL CARBÓN Octopus, aioli chile caribe, veracruzana sauce, chicharrón and rustic potatoes. This was SO good. I've never had octopus served like this and I was afraid it would be rubbery or tough, but it was tender and smoky. There were a TON of potatoes underneath and the sauce was tart and creamy. We asked for it without the chicharron since my friend is pescatarain and the restaurant was quite accommodating. My friend: COLIFLOR AL JOSPER Cauliflower, piperrada, lemon, chile powder, guajillo oil and pumpkin seeds. This was an entire half-cauliflower, beautifully presented. My friend loved it and the bite I had was fantastic. The cauli was still toothsome, but tender, smoky, and slightly spicy. The crunch of the pumpkin seeds was a surprising and delicious textural difference. My meal: ENCHILADAS VERDES Chicken with adobo chipotle, green sauce, manchego,cotija cheese,rice and beans. I cannot resist enchiladas verdes and these were excellent - nicely spicy with a lot of shredded chicken. I barely touched the rice and beans and had an enchilada left over - all of which made a great reheated lunch later that weekend. The service was outstanding; our server was flexible and made several suggestions for us and wished my friend happy birthday at the end. I will definitely be going back with my partner for dinner and to explore more of the menu.
