Casa Tequilas

TL:DR - good value, great service, massive portions, mediocre food and drinks. Pros: I was seated and served quickly. I wish I got my server's name, but she was polite and fun. I ordered the pollo asado and the Cadillac margarita, which were both delivered to my table remarkably fast. The portions are very generous! Paired with the rice, beans, tortillas, along with the chips and salsa and the pico-slaw that every table gets, I knew I wasn't leaving hungry.Cons: the entree itself was...meh. Kind of bland and needed salt. The rub that they used lacked spice and flavor. In a city with so many legitimate Mexican spots, Casa Tequilas isn't where you'll find authentic Mexican cuisine. Also, my margarita tasted weak and watered down.

Sadly, this replacement restaurant for Rialto is not very good. The drinks are fine, pacifico for me, house margarita for the hubby.I attempted to order the taco fajita salad, listing indicates all 3 meats, alas that was a type. So i flipped to the steak salad. Sadly the lettuce tasted like it was washed in dirty water, and the dressing was served in a package.It was an expensive meal that was definitely not worth the price.The staff was pleasant but not really interested in us as customers.I would not return, definitely other over priced mexican that is better on 16th.

Solid food, good drinks and fair pricing! Nice to have when staying at the Courtyard for sure!

Bartender ignored us. Walked by us and didn't ask to refill waters or another beer. There were three employees standing at the end of the bar eating grapes and pitting their hands in their mouth. Didn't wash hands, THEN taking out chips and salsa and refilling straws. (Which were unwrapped). Surprised nobody didn't say anything. Go at your own risk.

Generous portions all around. The spinach quesadilla was nice, with a good amount of veggies. I enjoyed the chips and salsa at the beginning and the skinny marg was also tasty (although had a lot of ice). Staff were nice. The restaurant is great for groups.

Very nice that it is attached to the Denver downtown Courtyard. It was late with just 20 minutes to closing so I was very appreciative of the service!I just ordered an appitizer which was DEFINITELY a shareable!! There was SO much food and a generous guacamole portion as well. You also get a basket of chips & saks so way too much food for 1.It was hot and fresh even with so close to closing time which I really appreciated.Didnt indulge in a margarita but boy did they look good!

Good strong margs and they serve you with chips and salsa with amazing Mexican music. Service was great Definitely will come back for their food.

I'm from the East Coast, so that means that I'm fairly new to the authentic Mexican food gastric experience. This spot right outside my door on 16th St. was fantastic to eat at, second only to El Noah Noah. Let me rephrase that: they're right up there with El Noah Noah, one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The staff is very generous and always welcoming, as well as the decor -- very, very nice. I can't wait to come back. The takeout portions are huge, so bring your appetite.0

It has been a minute since I have eaten here but went for brunch and was disappointed, I have to say. There were maybe two people in the entire restaurant as I went early, but service at the bar was almost non-existent. I ordered the Huevos Con Chulettas, which was a pretty good meal, and I asked for a side of green chili. This is where I was disappointed. It was watery, as you can see from the photos and not much flavor. I would say service was poor due to a lack of servers, but there were three standing around chatting, and I had to call someone over for simple things like a water refill.

The food was really good but it took a long time and the hot sauce was great but still took forever. Drinks also didn't come until food which was less than par
