Very nice an actual Caribbean lady serves. Very nice Caribbean music. They come around to check if your o.k. It's a small restaurant very in and out. I ate the curry chicken a lot of gravy. I like a lot of gravy however I like it thicker and spicy that's why it didn't get a 5. I'm also a bit unhealthy and like my plantains greasy however Its great and I appreciate it being healthy. You get a good portion of meat small portion of rice and beans and cabbage and 2 pieces of plantains. It's a great deal for the price very full filling

Overall very good food. Parking is not a problem because in a strip center. Service was very good. One person but she did a great job, taking the order, preparing the food, serving it, waiting on other customers, cashing out customers, etc. I had the yard which is a choice of three meats, split pea rice and plantain. I had curry chicken, curry goat and oxtail. All were excellent. I ordered a second yard and took it home with me. I also had beef and a curry chicken patti for starters. We were the only people in the restaurant, however, plenty of walk in's, door dash, grub hub, etc. lots of traffic on those. Overall good place and I do plan on visiting again. I do recommend.

They have been here a long time. Good quality Caribbean food. One of the better Caribbean spots in Houston. I've been coming here for years. One of the 1st Caribbean places that I was taken to when I moved from NYC to Houston years ago. It's unpretentious in appearance. Very pedestrian inside. The menu is full of good food choices. Try it all. Each visit try something different to get the full experience. They have beef, chicken and jerk chicken patties. I prefer my patties to be stuffed with more meat, with more puff to the pastry and more flaky. Their patties are ok, a little flat in appearance. They have coco bread. I got a large curry chicken with rice & peas, plantains and a cabbage medley. I usually get the oxtails one of my favorite Caribbean dishes. Try the jerk chicken the curry goat the fish, etc. I don't come here as often due to the distance from me. When I'm in the area, I try to stop by here. Check out my pics of their menu and food.

To everyone: I really should not be responding to the nonsense down there. But... As you can see... That's why the business is going under... EVERY SINGLE review Milten speaks fairytails and blatantly attacks people's posts when they don't respond favorably to his horrible service.I would encourage you, dear manager, to maybe take a business class and a customer service lesson and learn how to excel. Also, defamation of character is grounds for a lawsuit... and I DO have an attorney on retainer.... so please let's NOT take it there... I left my company for a better financial and advancement opportunity. They know fully my character and virtue and did not want me to leave. I will not be responding on here further. It's an absolute waste of time. If you cannot manage your business, shut it down, sir.

Food was good but meal portions are extremely small with a lot of rice. I wouldn't Uber eats but if you are able to go and actually see the distribution then okay.

Caribbean Cuisine comes to our office through the Fooda service. It is one of the most highly anticipated restaurants that the whole building looks forward to! They start serving at 11:30am and the line starts forming way before that! The food is full of flavor and they serve hearty, generous portions. Customer service is also on point! Love this place!!!

Soooo, this place is definitely a hit or miss. I've been coming here for years but the quality of the food is contingent on the chef. There isn't much consistency there. One day I could get a bomb shrimp roti which I would definitely rave about and crave the next day, but the next experience could be complete trash meaning, i would force myself to eat it. The coco bread and patties are usually consistently good tho.

What a find!So glad it was part of a rotating restaurant schedule at work. By the time I made it to the front, they were out of some items like the oxtails.Tried the jerk chicken and curry chicken with white rice and cabbage. The jerk chicken fell of the bone. So tender and juicy and delicious. I love all things curry and theirs did not disappoint. It had just the right amount of spice. The cabbage was also very well made. They were out of beef patties so got the jerk patty and it was delightfully delicious. The staff serving was very friendly and helpful and everything looked delicious. It was their first time and there are still some growing pains. Think our work didn't communicate with them about quantity so they ended up running out of food. But I'm glad they will be back!

Sigh, where do I begin? This is some of the worst Jamaican food I've ever had. I assume that the good reviews are from people who don't know actual good Jamaican food, but even if I wasn't Jamaican, this food is seriously bland! I just moved to Houston from South Florida (which has lots of good Jamaican spots), but if this is the best Houston has to offer, that's very sad. I ordered food through DoorDash. I ordered a lot of food because my boyfriend and I were quite hungry and were hoping to get enough for leftovers. I'll review the individual items.#1: Beef patties (2/5 stars): The pastry was light and flaky as it should be, but the filling was dry. It was like they just cooked ground beef in a pan and seasoned it a little. I'm giving it 3 stars because the flavor was good, it just wasn't the flavor I was expecting. The flavor was not authentic and neither was the texture. I like my patties spicy, but that wasn't even an option at this restaurant. I knew that was a red flag but I was just craving patties. If you've never had good patties, you'll enjoy this. My boyfriend enjoyed these, but he did say he wished their were more moist (as they should be). #2 Large Oxtail (1/5): Biggest disappointment. The oxtails were cooked pretty well; they fell off the bone. However, the flavor was SO BLAND. It wasn't anywhere near the flavor I was looking for. There's nothing authentic about that greasy, salt+pepper flavoring. Once again, no spice. The rice and peas were yummy--hard to mess that up--and it came with a little cabbage/carrot salad and some fried plantains. I only enjoyed the sides; that's what the one star is for. The "large" size was quite small. Not what I'm used to when ordering oxtail.#3 Brown Stew Chicken (2/5): One star is for the delicious sides (rice and peas, plantain, and cabbage salad). The brown stew chicken did not taste like brown stew chicken, but it did taste like some pretty good chicken. It could use more flavor, but I'm giving it one extra star because it tasted good, just not authentic. Again, the "large" was small. #4 Curry Goat (1/5): Once again, one star for the sides. I took one look at this watery curry and knew it wasn't going to be good. There were so few pieces of meat, no spice, WEAK curry flavor. Nothing can beat my father's curry goat but my goodness, I don't know how anyone can call this restaurant's meal "curry goat." This just tasted bland and unfamiliar. #5 Coco bread (4/5): I ordered some coco bread to go with the patties. I didn't actually end up eating them with the patties because the patty filling was so dry so matching that with bread was just unpleasant. The bread was good, it didn't seem that fresh so it was a tad stiff. Just a little.#6 Fried plantains (6/5): I LOVE fried plantains and these were spot on. They're hard to mess up. I was worried that the main dishes weren't going to come with fried plantains so I ordered 2 sides. I ended up with a bunch of fried plantains but I wasn't complaining. I ate them instead of the meat. My boyfriend ate most of the meat from the other meals because he's not Jamaican and he's not picky.Anyway, tl;dr: If you are 1) not Jamaican, 2) don't like spicy food, 3) don't like a lot of flavor, 4) are vegetarian (maybe??) then this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay away or you'll be disappointed. I won't be trying them again. I've got to find better Jamaican food in Houston.**note: I ordered from them about a month ago (on April 12). I knew to take some pictures because after tasting each dish I wanted to leave a bad review.
