A little secret .... They have Eggplant Parmesan!!! I've been looking high and low for Eggplant Parmesan on menus and even though it's not on the menu here, we decided to come anyway. Hubby picked the place and I saw only Chicken Parm on the menu but decided to just go with the flow. When I jokingly asked our server Gavin if I could have the Chicken Parm and sub eggplant, he said sure. And he was serious. And it was good. I can't wait to go back.

I'm staying for the night at atlanta before my way back home to Florida.I ordered 2 pastas and a side of meatballs my entire check was 80 dollars!!!!! And the most tiny serving I've ever had!!!!Plus that! They don't even send utensils! The coke, they don't even send a can , their serve a small cup and this is not safe for delivery! Hate the experience at all!

Service now recovered. So we will be regulars again.Food wow. Excellent. Started with warm bread, Followed by an order of steamed mussels. Juicy in tasty broth.Entrees: chicken Marsala, chicken parm; seafood risotto; Flounder francess. They accommodated changes in sides. While the two chicken dishes are standards, they were done quite well. The risotto and flounder dishes were exceptionally good. A chocolate lava dessert was better than typical. Highly recommended.

We've been neglecting Carbonara Trattoria because yelp had an Italian restaurant around the corner rated higher. For our first visit here, the plan was to walk in, sit at the bar, order a snack and something to go. First off, Trey, the bartender/server was great telling us what was on the menu. We ordered the fried oysters and they were very good. Trey also did a great job wine pairing and let us try a few other things. We decided to stay and order the carbonara salad and the cobia entree. At this point, for us to do an appetizer/salad/entree/desert, we have to split a few things and are quite comfortable sharing a plate, especially sitting next to each other in the bar. So, we said we wanted to split the salad. Much to our surprise, two little salads came out. Then we said we'd split the fish. Again, two small plates came out. This seemed above and beyond to me, but was very nice. We did order the "chocolate temptation" to go and ate it after we got home. The food was great, the ambience was nice, and we will definitely be going back!

I'm a New York City born and raised Italian American grandma. I was visiting Atlanta this past week for my son's birthday (8/29/23) and we went to dinner at his favorite restaurant: Carbonara Trattoria in Dunwoody. If you haven't tried this restaurant before, you should...the food was phenomenal. My son and daughter-in-law have been here many times and say the food has been great every time...that's why we went there for his birthday!! The drinks were delicious and the wait staff was very attentive as well. For an appetizer, we had fried calamari which was made with a different type of breading than I am used to getting in NY...this was a little crunchier almost like it had crusty Italian bread in the mix (not as much as Panko though). It had just the right amount of "crunch"...I loved it! It was a nice change. The calamari was cooked perfectly too...not rubbery at all! My son and daughter-in-law also shared the Carbonara salad which had strawberries and fried goat cheese and said it was delicious. For the entrees, my son ordered a rib-eye steak on garlic mashed potatoes with a side of garlic mushrooms (much better tasting than my mushrooms!), my daughter-in-law had Rigatoni made with sausage and eggplant, and I had Chicken Piccata over risotto. We all loved our meals. My son said his steak was cooked to perfection and my chicken was perfectly cooked too and the flavor was just out of this world! I actually used some leftover bread to wipe my plate clean so I got every last drop of piccata sauce!! It was just so DELICIOUS! The risotto was a nice addition I am not used to getting in NY. For dessert, I ordered Tiramisu (my favorite dessert) and requested a scoop of coconut gelato. I know they don't "go" together, but I love both and it's been years since I had coconut gelato. The gelato was delicious but the Tiramisu was INCREDIBLE!!! Here in NY, many restaurants are now serving Tiramisu in a very SMALL dessert bowl so you know it was made in advance and it just isn't very exciting anymore. It's been years since I was served a PIECE of Tiramisu like I was served here. I was pleasantly surprised. It was just delicious and I ate it very slowly to savor every delicious bite! I can't believe how good it was! Everything I ate was simply delicious!! This was probably the best overall meal I have had in a long time and I do eat out weekly. Kudos to the chef and his staff. Go to Carbonara Trattoria...you will love it!

Fantastic Italian dinner this evening! This was our first visit and it won't be our last. We both had pasta dishes, the Tagliatelle Bolognese and Spaghetti Carbonara. Both were excellent, but the Carbonara was probably the best I've ever had! They serve bread prior to the meal and although it was flavorful it was a bit overcooked and the butter was ice cold hard.Inside of the restaurant that's a warm ambience, however, many of the tables are too close together in my opinion. Service was adequate.Overall, it was a pleasurable dining experience and we both agreed that it was the best Italian food we've had in Atlanta in the decade plus that we've lived here.

This is a solid Italian restaurant. This is the second time I've been here and the food delivers. It's just not my first pick or the place that I crave going to. I also wish it had more selection. They provide complimentary bread with butter to begin, and my husband and I both appreciated the crispy crust of the (guessing sourdough?) loaf. The most memorable dish for me was the tricolor salad with walnut Gorgonzola dressing. It was so crisp and refreshing! Portion size was perfect as a starter (not for an entree), with the greens having been well massaged with dressing without losing texture. For my entree I ordered the penne Arabbiata, the only vegetarian dish, and I requested the addition of spinach and eggplant. When it arrived, I was pleased with the potion size, aroma, and overall appetizing blend of sauce and pasta. However, when it came to taste, while the sauce was very flavorful, I found the texture to be a bit watery so the pasta could not hold the flavor to my liking. It wasn't until the last few bites when I had the sauce, veggies and pasta mixed in well with the Buffalo mozzarella did the texture thicken and provide more satisfying bites. I paired this richly seasoned pasta with a Coltibuono Chianti. I still recommend this place. Overall it's a strong Italian dining experience.

Nice little Italian restaurant in dunwoody. I made a reservation to sit at the bar. I loved that I could reserve a seat at the bar since most places consider the bar first come, first serve. I tried the fried green tomatoes and the brazino w/ asparagus, olives and potatoes. Both were really good and not over done. The bartender was really nice and even played some old school music as it got later. This place is located in a plaza with other restaurants and businesses so there is plenty of parking. Although not required, I do reccomend a reservation.

Service was horrid and I found a hair in my pasta. Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT COME HERE. Atmosphere is unsettling too. Absolute waste of money
