Cancun Seafood & Oyster Bar

I came here with family last month for lunch. When we entered, around noon, the place was empty. My grandmother asked where the people were, commenting that good restaurants are full of people. I let her know this was a new place, and I've been wanting to give them a try.The place had an odd smell of cleaner. It was vast and open, very little atmosphere save for the large murals. Two kinds of music were playing. We only saw one person working, but we know there was a cook.Dad wanted fried oysters, but we were told that there were only 2 left. She suggested he order the sampler and he would get the last 2. He asked what kind of fish they had, and she didn't know. They were out of this and that.Grandmother had the fried shrimp, which is what I ordered. They were smallish but ok. The fries were ok as well. Mom had a shrimp dish with sauce, which she seemed to enjoy. Dad said the oysters were bland and wasn't impressed with the fish.There was a roach on the floor when we entered. Now, I grew up in Houston and I know how it is with roaches, so I didn't panic about it. Thing is, the roach wasn't quite dead, but he never moved from that spot. The woman did nothing about it.Another couple did enter while we were eating. No one else was in the place.The waitress was very nice and seemed a bit ashamed that they were out of so many things, saying it was hard to keep seafood fresh. I think if they put some effort into making a decent atmosphere, and created some simple, tasty dishes, they could really last. It would be nice to have a local restaurant to enjoy.

Place is a little hidden but the food is amazing as always really love this place,I would definitely recommend the fried shrimp

Fresh seafood good salsa shrimp cocktail was fresh and a lot of good size shrimp we enjoyed every thing we had. Michelada was also good.

This is a new place the food was excellent. My big got the Cocktail Octupus it was tender not rubbery. The food was great

Great food and super nice staff. The restaurant is clean and cute. I definitely would recommend this seafood place.

I wouldn't recommend ordering oysters from here. I love oysters but this wasn't good at all. Only one person was working and the kitchen is so nasty.

Truly delicious fajita quesadillas, shrimp tacos, and shrimp cocktail. Excellent service, tal bueno space for lunch, dinner, or watching futbol.

We were delighted with our first visit and will be back to explore the menu. Despite coming in fairly late in a Sunday night, the service and the food were terrific. Roomy and quiet. We,started with some nice empanadas, and both the fish I had and the beef my partner ordered as entrées were excellent. Their green salsa that comes with the chips is very nice too.

This place is a gem! We ordered their pineapple specialty plate and it is to die for. As soon as you take the first bite it will leave your mouth watering and your taste buds will be asking for more...as the cream coconut, pineapple and the seafood collide. We also ordered the empanadas, which are amazing ! And the quesadilla plate, you can actually taste the freshness and savory flavors! Definitely recommend you to go!!!

Placed a phone order for a shrimp cocktail, it was ready when I got there. Shrimp cocktail was pretty good, it was kinda small for a Large but it was filling. This is the first seafood restaurant I've tried out in Houston. While looking for a restaurant to order from, this one has the best pictures from customers so I tried it. I'll most likely come here again.
