These 1-2 star reviews are ALWAYS complaining about the prices (but you're willing to go to Pappadeaux to pay 2x's the price of this place - make it make sense sweetie). If you're broke, just say that!The food proportions are large and filling. All my food, even my veggies, was seasoned well and tender. To my surprise, the fish didn't have that "fishy" taste. I don't know how they do it, but each bite feels like I'm back in Louisiana - and that's exactly what I'm paying for. NOTE: I have noticed from other reviewers that they have odd hours and may close whenever, so call ahead to see if they're open!Support this small, local business by paying in cash (plus they'll DISCOUNT 15% off your order for it too)!

I ordered Togo food. They took over 1 hour get my order. When I got home the order was shorted some of the items I ordered. When I called...they just hung up the phone before even answering it.I was never able to even speak to a live person about this problem. Never go here... their horrible!!!!

I should've payed attention to the signs posted all over the restaurant saying "no exchanges or refunds "...what restaurant wouldn't want to create a pleasant experience for their customers? Paid $70.00+ for some Cajun wings ( that had the rotten chicken taste and smell), some old stale garlic bread ( which they said was a loaf but was more like a half of a half loaf), a skimpy piece of shriveled up fish, and a few shrimps that they tried to split in half to appear as more...watched them make some customers pay first, and some being able to order at the table with menus....Even when bringing up concerns about the quantity and quality of food our concerns were rudely dismissed...STAY AWAY FROM THIS DIRTY WHOLE IN THE WALl!!!!!

I went here yesterday and the food is always good and fresh. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I got the shrimpAnd crawfish butter sauce on top of mine and that was great too. It came with bread and steamed veggies. I always look forward to this place and will be back. I also love the fact you get a discount on food for paying with cash. No restaurants do this.

Our food was bomb.....that sweet potato pecan pie.........baaaabeeeeeee. always get the slice of pie. I had the loaded baked potato with the #4 sauce....banging. my partner had the fried fish platter....smashed it. Will be back again.

The food is delicious. Large portions. Good service. The seating area is comfortable. It does get crowded.

This chicken sandwich is so good! The chicken is tender and juicy and perfectly cooked. Also it's a huge sandwich! Will get again. Only downside is it's pretty messy bc of all the juice and it fell apart really easily but that's fine because you can just use a fork to eat the buts that fall out. The bun also tasted fresh!

The food was horrible. The rice was undercooked! The service was average! They are playing switch and bait with the receipt. You will get a ticket for the meal and when you give them your credit card, you will get another price, a processing charge of 3.99%. They cannot cook Cajun food! When I saw the place almost empty, I should have kept it moving! Black people take your business and money somewhere else. They do not want you there! Adios!

Great Blackened Snapper with #3 sauce.Great rice.Fast service.Went with a coworker who said he din't like Cajun, but he enjoyed his Sub and the pieces of snapper that I shared with him

Very bad service. I don't believe they appreciate their black customers. My order was a total of $84. I had $68 in cash and put $16 on my card. They offer 15% if you pay with cash. I asked if I would get 15% off for the cash? The cashier said he would not do it, so I asked him if he could cancel the order and ring my kids meals order separately so I could pay for them with my credit card. The cashier told me if I canceled my order he would not sell me anything else. Black people are the ones who supported them from beginning. Now that they have a few Hispanic customers . They no longer have a need for Black support. This is happening all over Houston, but we keep spending our money with them. Buy Black!!!!!!!!!
