Amazing !!! The food the service the atmosphere omg 5 stars! Delicious! Today for lunch I had the chicken andDumplings andThey are very generous with the chicken!!! It's juicy and tender and full of flavor! The waiter was a very attentive and nice man. I will recommend this place to others and I will be coming back!

Today was my second time dining at Cafe Texan, and I'm happy to say it was just as consistent as the first time. I'd learned of this place from a local while dining at a separate restaurant, and he seemed to be put off by their recent renovation. Though it has a far more modern style than your typical breakfast food location, the decor is quite inviting and appeals to not only a casual patron but also potentially those looking for a place for professional meeting place. As someone who previously worked in food service, any kitchen that can be viewed from the dining room really speaks to a confidence that expresses pride in their work and transparency with their clientele.In both my visits, I was waited on by Zach, a friendly young man who was very attentive and a genuine asset to the establishment.I suggest the eggs Benedict, a quality hollandaise sauce and poached egg, delicious pork belly on top of crispy biscuit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

This is our first time at the Cafe Texan since it's been remodeled!! We took a chance and didn't make reservations. Huge risk, but we got lucky and snagged a small table for 2 by the window!! Lucky because they are known for being extremely busy! Our waitress was so bubbly and fun this morning! She had a great personality and was very attentive throughout our meal!! I chose to try the mimosa this morning!! Huge glass and tastes delicious!!! We also ordered right away which our waitress loved!! I got the Avocado Toast with a medium fried egg on top! It was perfection!!! It comes with two pieces of toast with bright baby tomatoes and greens on top!! The egg was cooked perfectly!! My husband got the eggs Benedict! Looked amazing but didn't get to try!! If your waiter/waitress asks if you want the buttermilk biscuits say yes? If they don't ask, ask for yourself!!! They're amazing!!! Yes they are extra and not free so don't be surprised when you see the charge on your bill! Overall completely classy and wonderful place to eat!!! Plus the history behind it!!! Come check them out!!

What a hidden gem in Huntsville The food is some of the best I've ever had. Definitely try the crab cake. Everything we had was on point. This place does Texas right.

These folks are just special. Their food is perfectly prepared. The put "love" into it along with the great ingredients. The waitstaff is very well trained and so polite. Their service is perfectly timed. I will visit this place every time I visit from this point forward. Also, some very interesting and downright cool historical pieces and maps in the bonus museum adjacent to cafe and with apparent shared ownership.Just terrific!!

The food was OUTSTANDING, the server was very attentive and bonus is our Grandson is working there in the kitchen. I had short ribs with noodles in a savory brown gravy and Hubby had the Roasted Chicken leg quarter. The Berry cobbler cheesecake we shared (warning large serving) was to die for.I cannot wait to visit Huntsville again because I'll make sure we do not miss eating at Cafe Texan. The museum is a great addition to walk around for a bit of history after such a delicious meal.

We had reservations for 12:30 to celebrate birthdays with out of town guests. What a fabulous place to gather! We started with mimosas. I chose the chicken fried steak and it was delicious! The potatoes and green beans were perfect sides. Of course we had to go through the museum. Simply lovely atmosphere!

The ambiance is so different than before the redesign. The food is top notch. The service is amazing. The prices are also new however they are justified in the flavor, quantity and presentation of every dish. The chicken fried steaks are huge.

I got the Mac and cheese with chicken. It was fantastic. I really enjoyed it and it's a super cute place with a little museum to see after you eat if you want too!

First time coming to this restaurant and we are blown away! Great coffee and iced tea. The breakfast and sandwiches are on point. But the best part was the crab cake. I can honestly say that this crab cake is the BEST I've ever had.
