I've had several of Cafe Petit Four's beverages, and while they've been decent, none stood out as particularly unique or memorable. However, the gelato is a different story; it's absolutely worth the price. Most recently, I indulged in the Tiramisu Gelato ($4.80 for a small). It was incredibly creamy, with a rich coffee flavor. Each spoonful was a treat, balancing just the right amount of sweetness with a hint of coffee bitterness. If you love ice cream or gelato, I highly recommend stopping by here for a scoop or two. You won't be disappointed!

best café in the atlanta area!!! nothing can beat this imo. the desserts are the best, and the coffee drinks are so good. it's made just right. i'd highly recommend the lattes, gelato, tiramisu (whenever they have it).also, this place looks to be a family-owned small business since every time i go in, the same two people are running the place. they are very nice and happy to help.

Located in the Hmart Doraville complex, this little bakery was an inviting haven from the supermarket bustle. My husband and I came here one weekend for a light beverage and a cozy spot to read, and this is a wonderful spot to do it. The taro bubble tea that my husband ordered was pretty customizable, from the type of milk (oat and almond milks available as nondairy options) to the sweetness and ice levels. After a sip, my husband pronounced his drink "perfect!" which is pretty rare since he finds most of them too sweet or cloying. I chose the honey misugaru latte, which is a cold Korean mixed grain drink that my mom used to make me as a little girl. Here at Cafe Petit Four, they prepared it just as I remembered from childhood - nutty, slightly grainy, with just the perfect shade of sweetness. There are plenty of chairs and tables, along with a pretty tantalizing array of refrigerated goodies (whole and sliced cakes, tarts, cheesecakes, and macarons). I remember they used to serve freshly baked goods like breads and pastries, but we were disappointed to find that they no longer seemed to offer them here. Instead, there were some prepackaged cookies and confectionaries. The drink prices were fair and I was dying for some cheesecake, but at nearly $12 per slice, we balked and decided to head to Tour Le Jours (inside the Hmart, which offers a small but tasty selection).

It is very nice and clean, with a large selection of baked goods and cakes! I think because of the competitive nature of boba shops and bakeries, this cafe can beat out teatop and meetfresh in the same plaza by being able to seat more people by adding more tables or rearranging the displays so that there are more available seating areas. Despite the size the cafe can probably only seat 6 parties. Otherwise it is very nice and the service is fast.

Came here because reviews were good but after speaking to older woman working I left VERY unsatisfied. Sweets were nothing special. Won't come back. Boy working was very kind. Just not worth it.

It was busy and they had lots of desssrts so I assumed the food was good and the service. I asked for an ice water and a piece of carrot cake. She asked "for here or to go." I said I wanted to eat it here and take the rest to go. She charged me for two bottles of water and gave me two cups of ice. Then my cake was ice cold and hard. I went back to the counter and asked if they could heat it up. Once I finally got my cake back it was still cold, I brought it up and the lady was very rude and said it's supposed to be cold. I was confused bc I asked if they could heat it up and they said they could. So I just asked for my money back bc I wasn't happy and they didn't seem to care at all. The lady said I couldn't have my money back bc I ate part of the cake. How else was I going to know if it was hot or cold? The lady was yelling to the guy about me I assume and the guy said I could have a refund but the lady said no so the guy changed his mind too. What a nightmare of an experience all for a $13 piece of cake which should be nice and easy. I will never be back there. Yikes!

Cafe Petit Four was rebranded from Hansel and Gretel, which my boyfriend and I frequented prior to the pandemic. The drink menu remained pretty similar. They now sell truffles, macarons, and piece cakes in addition to breads. They've set up more shelving space to accomodate for the new items they added to the storefront. However, most items are not labeled with the pricing, with some of the petit cakes starting at $3.50. Although I like the increased variety and the new concept of wanting to sell cute and yummy small dessert cakes, some of the desserts presented looked a bit sloppy and not super appealing. However, I would come back to get their coffee or their Korean breads.

I came here with my sister after a shopping trip at Buford Highway Farmers market because I was craving high quality sweets. Cafe Petit Four delivered that and more!!! I had three macarons and a passion fruit sparklingade (a carbonated juice) and my sister got their passion fruit sorbet. Let me tell you something. Those Macarons were the best I've ever had!!!!!! When I bit into the lavender Macaron I felt so incredibly happy. The texture was perfect with just the right amount of give, and the taste was just otherworldly. 11/10 would recommend their macarons. The sparklingade was also very good. It's not really what you would expect, but drinking it still ended up being a very satisfying experience. Finally, I tried a bit of the sorbet and it was perfect! They captured the essence of the passion fruit so well!If you're looking for high quality pastries, I would definitely recommend coming to Cafe Petit Four!

Stopped by on a Sat. night to pick up a last minute birthday cake. The place was pretty empty. There different counters: the one immediately to your left has whole cakes and cheesecakes; the counters at the registers are your pre-sliced cakes and the ones furthest away are the macaroons. First off, you better have deep pockets here. The pre-sliced cakes starts at $13 a piece. When asked about the whole cakes; we were told that it was just one size (extra-huge) and that cheesecakes start at $108 and cakes start at $86 before taxes. When we expressed interest at the tiramisu cake we were quickly told oh yes, that one is more expensive. Easy for them to say considering there was no price displayed. These cakes are decidedly much more expensive than any asian bakery I've been to. For instance, Paris baguette, Mozart and Sweet Huts cakes are in the $40+ range. But we were in a pinch, having dinner reservation as Miss Gogi so we settled for the chocolate mousse. The total came out to $92... for a cake! The cake is delicious, but I didn't think it was any different than what is offered at any other bakery so take that how you want. We were asked if it was for a birthday so candles were included but not a cake cutter. Annoying since Sweet Hut will include both candles and a cake server with each purchase.

So a year ago I gave this place a One star review. This One star definitely stays with my update here. Let's hope Yelp would allow a zero star in year 2021. Went to pick up my dinner at my recent go-to Harue. Popped over to Hansel & Gretel next door hopefully to get some mini choux pies.Have not been here since I got back from Singapore in August. Upon entering, I realized the prices of the baked goods have gone up significantly. A ham and cheese croissant for $6.50??? This placed the croissant more than what I paid for at my dependable bakery (The Colony) at The Ritz Carlton Singapore. And I know for sure the croissants at The Colony are not packed in some generic plastic bag! I went up to the cake display and realized they no longer have those mini choux pies but now have quite a variety of cakes. I decided to pick up a slice of lemon mousse cake and a éclair. Since the cake would be shared with someone with nut allergies, I asked the staff if the cake contained any nuts or peanuts. The staff was sweet and went to check with the boss (?). I saw the young staff approached the boss (?) and the forever cold ahjumma (who has been manning this bakery since day 1 just shook her head with no expression. Wow? How can she be so icy cold 365 days a year? Granted it is winter now. The young staff came back and told me there were no nuts in the cake. I felt bad for her and wondered how she could work here. I do noticed the turnover at this bakery is high. I told the staff I would take a slice of lemon mousse and the éclair. Then I suddenly remember.... did the bakery improve on their packaging materials? The answer? No. Hansel & Gretel continues to use those cheap plastic boxes to box all cakes in them, with no consideration if they messed up the cake. The staff started ringing up the two pastries. The first item, lemon mousse cake. $9.50!!! $9.50?? WOW!!! I was rather taken aback so I missed seeing how much the éclair came up. The total I paid for two pastries was $17+It was my fault for not checking the price but this was basically daylight robbery. Hansel & Gretel is going downhill with such shady business practice by not putting the price of every cake displayed and also jacking up the baked goods by 50-100% during this pandemic. I do understand all businesses are suffering but overcharging at such ridiculous prices is simply atrocious. For the very first time, I hope an establishment like this would not survive long. I sincerely hope a better and honest bakery would take over this place. Why would anyone continues to buy from an establishment when evidently the ahjumma there thinks everyone who entered the store are beneath her. I will not step foot into this store again. PS. So how does that $9.50 +tax lemon mousse cake taste like? The frosting was mediocre and the cake itself tasted like those from Publix. I agreed with a fellow yelper Peter S. The baker or the place they got their cake from was definitely different.
