So I thought I'd give this charming little operation a try one morning as I was heading into the office. They have a few breakfast options available - bagels, hashbrowns, etc. - but opted for the meatiest of the breakfast burritos. The burrito itself was quite delicious, though it did take them about 10 minutes to prepare, as apparently everything at Cafe21 is made fresh to order. The price seems pretty reasonable for what you get, though you'd get twice as much from a mom & pop shop in the highlands, but location has an impact on that for their pricing so they get a pass. I've heard from some other folks in the office that the Asian inspired lunch items are a little lack luster, but the sandwiches and burgers are good. I'll try one of those next. More to follow...

Located in the lobby of the Denver Place the cafe looks appealing with a nice variety of breakfast, lunch and smoothie options. I've put off trying them due to their higher menu prices and the variety of competition in the area. I bought an egg, bacon and cheese croissant. At $3.55 the diminutive morsel was hardly worth the price. At the same price point, you can buy a huge, fresh burrito from someone nearby. The burritos here are $6 (smothered) and about $3.50 plain. My coworker likes the plain burrito for the hashbrowns that are in it. At lunch, a coworker paid $5.50 for a sandwich consisting of 2 pieces of bread, a slice of cheese and a slice of ham. Definitely not worth it. The food is only ok. After eating the egg croissant I am still hungry, but out $3.50. I won't be going back, and I can hardly recommend this place.

A great little sandwich shop that serves the building. The place has a homey Mom and Pop feel and the owners turn out quick breakfast and lunch items fast. I've had the sausage breakfast burrito and the burgers here and both were really good. Will definitely be returning if I'm ever in this building again.

A hidden gem in the heart of downtown, their vast menu ranges from fresh deli sandwiches to Shrimp Fried Rice, scratch made soups (Veggie Beef is my go-to during the cold winter months) and the freshest salad bar in the immediate vicinity. The husband and wife owners work hard to make sure all their customers are satisfied by providing low priced, good quality food in a fast-paced environment. Highly recommended.

A small cafe in the twin towers down town. They are polite and friendly and they get food out to you fast. They offer a variety of lunch and breakfast options to go including soup/sandwich combo, Asian noodles, burger/fries, and a salad bar. Its clean and they try hard.I had the grilled cheese/soup combo a few weeks ago and it was probably the worst grilled cheese/soup combo I've ever had. (Probably not the best selection but it was a cold day and grilled cheese sounded good at the time.)A lot of people frequent Cafe 21 at lunch, and I really would have felt bad about judging them on the grilled cheese alone. Today I had a noodle dish and it was decent, the veges were crisp and it wasn't heavily salted. This seems to be their go-to dish.I'm thinking its more like 2.5 stars but I think it is a family-run business, so lets just round it up.

Food is delicious, the breakfast panini is my go to. The woman who works the front is so kind and it is clear she cares about her customers. If this cafe wasn't here I don't know what I'd do!

OMG! This is definitely worth going to...great atmosphere...down to earth people with excellent service. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, they have a huge variety of selections to choose from (smoothies, sandwiches, chicken teriyaki...excellent choice I might add!) The prices are good considering it is the business district of downtown Denver. Worth the trip!!!!
