Duc Chuong III is known to be one of THE spot for Bún No Huế on the southeast side, and as the name denotes, it is the 3rd installment within the small, but well-known franchise--ironically, the establishment pushes out 3 stars at this time, but does that mean it's bad? No. In fact, on its best days the restaurant could easily score 4. So let's jump into the positives. Though you may be able to find these noods at most vietnamese restaurants (specifically ones that serve phở), there's rarely a place that can top a restaurant that pushes all their chips in. The broth should be more rich than your average soup, so expect ingesting double the calories you normally would with a bowl of noodle soup--it's the price you pay for flavor, and expect to add more with the provided shrimp paste and table chili oil. The restaurant caters to quite glutonous appetites as well by offering M, L, XL bowls. Take note that you will not gain more value going up in size (which is a common sales tactic among pho restaurants), which is actually quite nice because it fails to encourage me to go up a size when I actually don't even want to eat that much. Plus, a small bowl here is essentially a large bowl at any typical pho restaurant as a referencing point and that's plenty for little 'ol me.Service is quick and easy. The menu is so short, you should hardly run into any issues and you shouldn't have trouble finding an english speaking waiter (should you need one). Though they do have other options other than Bún No Huế, I would suggest you stick to the theme; just state you want a [insert size] bowl and they'll rightfully assume you're here for the noods. Smoothies are made with real fruit (well, at least I can guarantee the Durian is!), and yes, you can get your Durian shake fix here, my brothering heathens. They sell boba, freshly squeezed juices, and vietnamese coffee, as well. Not the prettiest restaurant. But the system is practical. On a busy day, expect to share elbow space with someone you don't know.Considering how hard good Bún No Huế is to find, this is a solid option. however, lately they keep cutting the amount of ingredients they give you ontop of raising prices. I don't mind paying $12 for a bowl I can barely finish, but my soup had better not be as bland as it was this particular day...

One of the best locations of them all. Also, love that they cut up the pork feet into smaller pieces. (Not pictured). The flavor of the broth is delicious and they put extra lemongrass which enhances the meat. Usually, I order with fewer noodles and forgot to do that this time so there were some noodles left over. I prefer eating veggies more! It did take a minute after sitting down for someone to come over and take our order. I think they switched management or something because we heard them talking behind the counter. Our waiter, bless his heart, tried but messed up our order a few times. We order a small and a medium to eat at the restaurant and then a medium and large to go to bring home. We also got the barbecue spring rolls but he got them wrong because he brought out regular spring rolls. They fixed the order but it took a little while to bring out as we were also done with the noodles. When we went to go pay and get our to-go orders, they said there weren't any. Apparently, he forgot to put in the to-go orders so we waited for a little after paying for them to bring it out. Maybe because he was younger and not paying attention but we would come back for the food.

I mean this bowl of soup is delicious but I'm sure there's a lot of MSG. None the less, love the different take on thinner noodles! Thinly slice beef is on point. Your to go chili oil isn't spicy at all though, had to use my own. I will say I love that you separate the shrimp paste and chili oil instead of together.Ordered ours to go, it's still hella good. But if you're sensitive to msg maybe it isn't for you.

Very straightforward restaurant- really they only serve Bun bo Hue and a handful of others. Servers will come right up and ask you what your order is without giving you a menu (we didn't know this LOL) BBH meats are soooooooo incredibly tender. Very yummy. In my opinion, I like my broth spicier but for the price, this place hit the spot!

This place has good bun bo hue and the prices are very reasonable or shall I said cheap. Surely worth your $Service is OK . Strongly recommended if you are close by this area. But one little note to the owner. The soups weren't hot (as temperatures) maybe you should look into it.

I love their bùn bo huế here. In my opinion, it's the best one I've had in Houston. (Unless I find a better one) The staff here will acknowledge always. Even though the menu is short, it's because their focus is going to be on the bùn bo huế.

If you're into something bold and Vietnamese, bun bo hue is the way to go. There are three locations as far as I can remember, one in bellaire, one up north on 249, and this location. This one is the best out of the three imo. Full of spices, that satisfy the palette. I love to add veggies, lime and don't forget the CHILI OIL. I normally put in about a tea spoon, but if you want it extra spicy feel free to add more. You know a place is good when they basically only sell one item. There's 3 bowl sizes, the large is HUGE. Would not recommend unless you're in for a food coma afterwards lol.Enjoy!

This is my go-to place when I crave really delicious bun bo hue. I usually get a large size and it is a pretty big portion that leaves me feeling full afterwards. If you get fuller quicker, I would recommend the small. They also have an extra large size if you have a really large appetite as well. As the name implies, there is a limited menu so you will not get a menu from the servers; however, they do have other menu items on the wall for you to look at. You will just get approached and asked what you want with the bun bo hue being the usual thing other guests will order. The service is good and servers usually get food out pretty quick and were helpful when my parents were asking for directions since we were new to the area. There is a lot of seating available and super spacious as well so large parties can be accommodated easily. Parking was easy to find as well.

Not bad pho, but not the best either. Maybe I'm just not a huge fan of pho. Anyhow, service was great...the ambiance is that of a fast food restaurant--so don't expect much. They do have a wide variety of teas though, including boba tea.
