Got it delivered to me. Decided on the BBQ Fried Rice. I I initially thought the portion was small, but looks can be deceiving. It was a lot and I wasn't complaining. Flavor-wise, it was kinda meh...until I added the jalapeños, onions, pickles, and bbq sauce to it. The veggies aren't something they just pulled out of a jar like other bbq spots. Whatever they did with these, it'll send your taste buds on one helluva journey. Later that night, I had the banana pudding. I'm no expert on desserts. If it's good, it's good. This definitely topped off my night of staying dry in the rain.

Great food! Had the brisket, fried rice brisket, the link and all were amazing. The pricing is actually great and well worth it with great sized portions. Best thing was the taste. Simply amazing. Place was busy but service and wait was great. Place was running like a well oiled machine. Will definitely be returning here.

Brisket & Rice Texas Monthly Top 25 13111 FM 529, HoustonHidden Gem Texas BBQ is connected to a gas station (Phillip 66). Right down the road from Trader Village is a BBQ spot serving up Texas BBQ with with Asian twist and its Top Tier.Highlighted itemsBBQ fried rice/moist brisket: 9.9/10 when Daniel Vaughn wrote his review on them a while back I remember him noting that this was leftover brisket and rice but it is not. Chunks of brisket, Chinese sausage, eggs, and BBQ sauce.Jalapeño house-made sausage: 9.6/10 snappy savory with a kick if you ever decide to try this place out add This to your order. Ribs: were tender sweet and peppery absolute perfect rib.Banana pudding: don't skip on dessert. It's homemade with chunks of banana and wafers mixed in what seems like a whipped pudding but incredible nonetheless. Also got a side of loaded baked potato salad which is a great side option.Overall: 10/10 highly recommend This if you ever looking for a new BBQ spot add this to your list

HOUSTON, TX 77041 / CONTEMPORARY BBQ / SUN 11-19-23 / TAKEOUT DINNER+The BBQ Fried Rice was amazing; definitely a must-get!+The pickles and jalapeños are legit. The peppers remind me of the ones you find in Korean restaurants pickled with soy sauce. Also, the sliced white onions with vinegar were awesome.+The brisket was one of the best I've had in Houston-town. It had a nice pleasant smoke ring, not overpowered by pepper or too much rub like other places.+The pork ribs, at $9.97/lb, are a great deal in my opinion+The service was quick and the fragrant fried rice that was freshly-tossed in the wok flames was so tempting on the drive home.+The storefront is small and parking can be limited. Hopefully, they can open a second location on a much larger scale one day!-Would like to see some more unique side options.

My expectations were very high. The service was quick and the people very friendly but the flavor just wasn't there. It's a small fast food type place. I love little small food stops; that's a part of my New aorlwans culture but the flavor profile wasn't it. If you are not a cook or have challenges in the kitchen it may be good for you. I didn't try the smoked meats therefore I will visit again and try the brisket and sausage.

Amazing food and service! We got the brisket, both sausages, and both regular and fried rice, plus some sides including Mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious, brisket was melt in your mouth and super flavorful. Loved the fried rice, the portion was huge and filled with more meats, and gave a different flavor to what I usually expect from bbq. The bbq sauce at the table was great, and the pickled sides that come with also gave a nice punch. Just had my leftovers for lunch and want more! Definitely a must try.

I eat a lot of BBQ and travel all over Texas to find the next hidden gem or to sample the Texas Monthly top spots. Usually, each place has a specialty that they are known for and then they serve the other standard fare. Brisket and Rice flips that on its head and EVERYTHING I tried was some of the best I've ever had. The Beef Rib was like butter and fell apart at the slightest touch. When I say it melted in your mouth I'm being literal. My wife, who eats meat sparingly, couldn't get enough. This is now our top beef rib BBQ joint. The homemade house sausage was a revelation. Normally you are served some form of kielbasa or a German style sausage which can run dry. This sausage was juicy and flavorful and I couldn't get enough. Without exaggeration, this is now our top BBQ sausage joint. The BBQ fried rice is a special recipe that combines BBQ and Vietnamese fusion flavor. I thought the brisket would be average because no one can be that good at delivering mouth watering BBQ across the meat spectrum. Wrong! Tender, fall apart, and juicy with great bark. The BBQ fried rice with the brisket is a wonderful combination of flavors that we will be coming back for.Sides are sides, right? Wrong again. I am particular about my coleslaw and the Cranberry Almond slaw was delicious. The flavor of the mixture was well balanced and complemented the meat. The Mac & Cheese was deceivingly cheesy and had great texture. It didn't taste like mush and instead stood out with a great balance of pasta and cheese. Add a little bbq sauce to the top for a next level experience. On another note, the BBQ sauce enhanced everything we tried it with. I like my BBQ without sauce for the most part but once again, Brisket and Rice figured out how to combine complimentary flavors for a complete food experience. Our new favorite BBQ place in Texas is worth your time!
