I went to Breakfast at Barney's for my sister's birthday on a Tuesday around 2 PM, and we had a great experience. There was no wait, and they even let us park for free (though it's typically $5). The staff was super kind, and our waiter had great recommendations.I did try the Soul Rolls, but they didn't quite live up to my expectations, so I'd recommend saving your money on that one. However, the steak and eggs I ordered were delicious! My steak was a bit overcooked, but the flavor was on point, and the portion size was generous. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere and lots of Southern-inspired options. Overall, a solid spot for brunch, and I'd definitely go back to try more of their menu!

The classic southern breakfast/brunch experience with an elevated touch. The combination of a well seasoned catfish over the top of spaghetti is a southern tandem that is a must try. To complement the dishes the location is draped in plush emerald green velvet seating with gold trimmings really suited to elevate the stay. All of the staff was very accommodating in recommending items and cleaning up and issues. I'll be back in a heartbeat!

Yelp won't let me do 3.5 stars but I think that's where I believe this restaurant ranks. Greeting on entry was pleasant. We were seated outdoors at our request. It was far too cold indoors. It was a comfortable location streetside. We were there during an off time so service was not as attentive as it might have been if we were seated indoors, but it wasn't bad. I was taken aback a little by our server at first. She certainly was polite but strongly told us they didn't make any menu modifications, even for food allergies. My wife has a shellfish allergy and my daughter has several food allergies. I was prepared to leave but my wife really wanted to try one of the dishes so we stayed. I ordered the Emperors Breakfast. I ordered my eggs over medium. They came out over-hard. They were smothered in oil or butter..more oily than buttery. The sausage was dry. The salad was nice but the raspberry dressing seemed like just puréed and sugared raspberries. Overall, it wasn't impressive. Waffle House has a better breakfast. My wife and daughter had catfish and grits. They both said they really liked it. My daughter, who is a Culinary Institute of America trained chef said she would give her food 4.5 stars. My wife gave hers 5 stars. They both said the grits were creamy and well seasoned. The fish was seasoned and cooked very well.I'm not a loud noise person. Music louder than very soft in the background is not relaxing. The volume of the music was too loud. I felt like we had to talk loudly to hear each other over it. Also, the channel was an R&B genre that mostly had typical R&B vibe but occasionally had a slower rap song in which the artist frequently used the N word; not really what I want to hear while eating brunch..or any time for that matter. I probably would not visit again but my wife said she would and my daughter said she would order to go but would not dine in again.

I visited Breakfast at Barneys on an early Thursday morning so business was moderately slow. Everyone was very friendly and its truly a beautiful restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. I would order every dish we had on the table again. The pictures should speak for themselves. While the menu options can be perceived as pricy, Breakfast at Barneys has proven it's reasonable given their product. With large portion sizes, fresh, hot, delicious food that comes with beautiful presentations and an inviting ambiance, Breakfast at Barneys should be one your top restaurants to dine! I can't wait to be back!

I would give them a 3.5. This is a typical Atlanta restaurant that puts a lot into the vibe/ambiance instead of the food. The food wasn't bad, but nothing to return for. The French toast was the best part. Of course, the prices were much higher than necessary, given the type of food and quality. The service was ok; there was a noticeable absence after receiving our food, but not terrible. Overall, it's a place to go but nothing special.

I love the vibe and decor of the restaurant. However the food was just okay. You can't go wrong with the shrimp and grits so that of course was phenomenal. Their famous soul rolls were not as good as I thought they would be. However I ate it with the grits so that helped. Otherwise it was a bit too bland. We got seated fairly quickly so that was nice.

We, a party of six showed up to brunch around 1 PM and there was an hour wait. You can't make reservations here so you have to chance it. I will start off that it's not worth an hour wait..... Once our time arrived we let the wait staff know that two people were on their way back as they had to run to use the restroom and she sat us anyways. They sat us at a table that was suited for a party of four so we asked if we could be moved to a different table so that two of us didn't have to sit on the edge/corner of the table, and they were just so put out about this. They sent a manager over who asked " are they in the men's or the women's bathroom." I mean this lady was like a straight Gestapo. I informed her that they left and went to use their own private bathroom as we didn't know that this would be a big deal. I had to call them to see what their ETA was as she was threatening to make us standup from the table & wait again. As I was talking to my friends she stood at the table and glared at me until I gave her an exact time frame. If we hadn't already waited for one hour, and there wasn't 4 other people with me I would've definitely left. I think this lady will be better suited at a daycare. The waitress herself was decent. She was quick to take the orders but there was no warmth or personality. The food came out pretty quick as they have a 90 minute timeframe to turn over the table. I had the catfish and spaghetti. I personally liked it, but my husband felt like it was spaghetti out of a can. I also had a ginger martini, the waitress said that she knew nothing about the Ginger Martini even though this is part of the menu it definitely didn't taste like ginger & more like a lemon drop. The atmosphere is lively, they have great R&B music playing in the background. It was played at a nice decibel. I would say that the environment is the only plus & I would never return back here again, solely because of the management and the food is not memorable.

The french toast was a little dry and had a spice that I didn't like.It was supposed to come with caramelized banana, but it only had a teeny tiny piece of banana.2 other people with me also didn't like their orders. The staff were very friendly though.
