Pretty good, the ratio of rice to fish was unexpected, there was actually enough fish. It is on the pricey side at $13 for a regular and $16 for a large. The salmon was fresh and good, I ordered it twice in the time span they were at 8th wonder. I'm surprised regular rice is used in place of sushi rice, not a deal breaker but not exactly great. The second time I got a large bowl but the rice was undercooked, it was dry and crunchy. Good fresh fish, nice staff, rice wasn't great, a little on the pricey side for what you get.

I had the tiger cry (spelled differently) while Bowl'D was at the truck yard, and it was delicious! It was a little fatty, but the sauce and the pickled cucumbers were incredible!

I've eaten poke in the big island, Oahu, and SoCal. The make your own poke bowls here at bowl'd up was created by brothers jay/jeff and is really tasty. The fish is very fresh. My favorite is both the tuna and salmon with the spicy shoyu sauce, add masago, seaweed salad, dried shallots, macadamia nuts, cucumbers, furikake, and avocado. The katsu is also very good, the batter is crispy and the chicken has good flavor, try it with both katsu sauce and spicy mayo. Also try the acai bowl as it is refreshing and healthy. A unique truck here in Houston that represents the islands well. Don't forget to tip the cashiers as they were very nice and friendly!

I'm from California and was in South Houston for business and I know a little something about Food Trucks. The Teriyaki chicken was the nasties this i've ever eaten. Processed chicken nugget balls???? WTF! Took one bite and it went straight into the trash.

I had been patiently waiting for this truck to open up! I've been on a poke binge lately and not many offerings in Houston that are what I really want.I love this truck allows you to customize your poke bowl. They offer two sizes and are able to pack those bad boys to go if you wish. I personally think the large is the better deal at $2 more. While I enjoyed the idea, I didn't like the ratio of rice and everything else in the bowl. The rice wasn't sushi rice and was a little warm. The temperature of the rice wasn't too bad but if it had been warmer, I felt like it could've cooked my fish which is not what I want. I'm not sure how much fish they give out for each size, but it didn't seem like it was enough for the amount of rice as well as the amount of toppings that were in there. They're still new and working out some kinks. I can understand that. I ordered avocados in my my bowl, and my bowl was without. They quickly fixed the problem and added it (the avocado wasn't ripe and wasn't very pleasant to eat). I hope to come back later after they've become a well-oiled machine.

I tried this food truck at Greenway Plaza for the first time this week. I ordered the crispy chicken teriyaki bowl. I paid ten bucks and added the rice. When I returned to my office, I took a good look at my meal and I was surprised to find that "crispy chicken" is really pressed chicken nuggets. Not chicken tenders, mind you. These were the awful chicken nuggets from the grocery store that kids somehow love that can be made in the shape of dinosaurs. I have had great experiences at the food truck that visit Greenway, but this was beyond belief. The sauce was unremarkable, texture of the chicken and the breading was awful, the rice was fine and the cucumbers and carrots were an afterthought. All for the low price of ten bucks. Take my advice and pass on this one.

Great to see another place in town serving Poke! And I'm always up to supporting the local food truck scene! I ordered the large OG salmon bowl with rice. Overall, I would say that it was quite a tasty bowl of poke; however, I would love to see Bowl'D Up use some larger containers. It was quite a challenge to mix up my bowl without losing any toppings. Or just getting to some rice at the bottom of the bowl. Secondly, I thought it was just a tad pricey for what you get. Maybe I'm just too spoiled with Ahi Poke Bowl in Arlington. For the same price, one can get 3x the amount for the same price. Granted, these guys are operating from a food truck so maybe the overhead is more.I would come back for future visits if I'm hankering for some poke. I do wish them the very best and success.

What a perfect food truck to remind me of SoCal! Poke and acai bowls!! My friends and I visited them before they had their grand opening. I only ordered the poke, so I can't comment on the acai bowl yet. The fish is fresh, but for not enough fish for the price. From the comments of my friends, it seems as though they use jasmine rice instead of sushi rice.Currently the regular poke bowl is $11 (+2 extra for no rice/extra protein), large bowl is $13.
