The patio was cute, the drinks were great + the food was too but it was our server Pablo who made the experience! He was attentive, energetic, and brought amazing energy -- will come back just for Pablo!

I really love the vibe of this place every time I walk by because it looks so fun and inviting, they're always playing great tunes, and they have really nice-looking outdoor seating. I really needed the food to live up to it, but for me, it wasn't quite there! The cocktails were great! The margarita I got was cold and delicious. We started with some elote which I thought could not be bad, but honestly it wasn't that great! The corn wasn't that sweet. It tasted fine but overall was underseasoned and just tasted like corn with a little bit of cotija. The tacos themselves are pretty good. I got a fish taco and a duck one, and my wife got two veggie ones. The tortillas weren't the freshest tasting and had a little staleness to them, and the protein in the tacos was way overpowered by the other fixings on them.Honestly though - I'd DEFINITELY come back here because the service is fantastic and friendly and the ambiance is so nice. Great spot to have a nice cocktail or drink outside with your friends, but I'd say if you're looking for a high quality delicious Tex-Mex meal, I'd try elsewhere.

One of my favorite Boston taco stops for an easy dinner out with reliably tasty and creative tacos and excellent cocktails - especially their flavored and frozen margaritas! Their chips and dip options, nachos, elote and patatas bravas are all excellent sharing appetizers. I especially like the fish, birria, and duck tacos but they have a broad selection of great options. Service is fast and friendly and the restaurant space is charming with lots of outdoor seating!

Overall: in a vacuum the drinks, tacos, chips were incredibly tasty. On the other hand it's really hard to justify a $7 taco coming from LA in the land of $1.50 tacos. I will say this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in terms of quality. I would definitely come back if I really craved tacos.Food: we ordered an insane spread of tacos and without going into detail about each of them just one you're getting a sizable amount of meat, dressing and vegetable ingredients that blend really well in flavor crispy/crunchiness/ etc. The drinks were intensely strong (coconut margarita) with not enough of the coconut flavor. Ambience/Decor/Service: I can't say too much about the ambience/decor because we sat outside in the heated area picnic tables. But the service was pretty fast considering we were outside and they even accommodated us with a chair.

The beef birria tacos were really good!! It was crunchy and the sauce was just perfect! The crispy pork belly was really really dry. The coconut shrimp was ok. We did not like the service! We had reservation and took a while to get seated, mostly because there was no one out at the front. Once we got seated, our waiter took a long time to ever get us anything we needed. We ended up asking someone else to give us a check because our waiter disappeared.

Dimly lit neighborhood taco hot spot with surprisingly delicious tacos and margs. My husband found this place and it wasn't particularly close to our hotel, but was in a neighborhood we've enjoyed in the past and we were able to get a reservation so decided to give it a try. As fans of another dimly lit Boston mexican spot, Lolita, this is definitely more low key and not as loud, but dare I say, equally good food. We started with the Street Corn Nachos because it was a little taste of a few of the appetizers, but there's nothing little about these nachos. It's a quarter sheet pan filled with tortilla chips stacked proportionately with queso, yummy elote, and avocado. TBH I was pretty full after this but decided on a couple of tacos - the birria (because I can't refuse) and the queso carne. They were both a nice size and filled with meat. Really really tasty. Their margaritas and Palomas were really fun and tasty as well - definitely recommend adding that to any meal. Overall, this is a good date night spot, a good night out with friends spot, intimate, yet low key and quiet enough to have a conversation. Would revisit.

Dining out during long weekend is the best. You don't have to wait and you get full attention. Went to the bar on a Friday night so I was able to watch the Celtics game. Dining area was empty and besides the loud group, the atmosphere was pleasant. One taco per plate ($6-9 depending on veggie/meat/fish filling). Higher end taco joint but they use fresh ingredients. Host and staff were very friendly and attentive. Street parking or you can get there by taking the silver line or bus 9 or 11. Bus stop to the restaurant is about 8 mins walk

Last week was my second time at Yellow Door in the South End and was impressed, yet again. The service is always excellent, attentive and welcoming. Our food and drinks all came out promptly, as well. I ordered the strawberry margarita & it was nothing short of refreshing! Paired with Chips and Guac, Nachos, and a potato dish. All were excellent with the right amount of spice. Always will recommend for the price, food, and drinks!

My coworker ordered tequila on the rocks with soda water. What she got was a glass with ice, a shot glass of tequila and a can of soda water. Another coworker ordered ginger ale and was just given a room temp can. We had the guac (good), potatoes (great), and I had the two veggie tacos which were fine but very one note.
