I stopped by for a drink and late night snack. I had a Bloody Mary and potato chip nachos. They were so delicious! I would definitely stop here again and try more items.

Overpriced hotel food. Previous comments state their hotel rooms have roaches and the time I stayed there, there was a amouse in my room and someone else had a similar experience to me as well. I can't imagine how filthy their kitchen might be. Please do not consume food from this place. Health department should be called in to inspect this place or shut it down.

Stayed at the Wyndham in Boston. The bar tender at the Deans list was very friendly and offered suggestions from the menu and cocktails. Potato chips and cheese was very good. Espresso martini was fabulous. . It was tasty. I was happy they allowed me to bring a carafe of coffee up to my room in the morning. (No room service ). Only disappointment was I went down at 6:35am. They did not open until 7am.

This adjoins our hotel and the convenience is nice. I only had breakfast but they had a good variety of different breakfast/brunch items. The staff is friendly and courteous. The prices are a bit steep, but my goodness, the servings are plentious! I selected the yogurt blueberry parfait and cranberry pecan toast...very good. The waitress offered to bring me a container for the parfait and wrap my toast so I could take them with me. She also provided a hospitality pack of utensils without my requesting it! I love service like that. The coffee was excellent and they even have demerara sugar which is hard to find in some restaurants! And perhaps the BEST part was that when I checked in on Yelp, I discovered a 20% off coupon just because I YELP! Love YELP!Nice quiet spot, tucked away in the Wyndham Beacon Hill hotel. Look for it when you're in Boston!

The Dean's List is the bar and restaurant of the Beacon Hill Wyndham. When we stayed here in early August 2016, it was a convenient place to enjoy a cold one before calling it a night. In contrast to the previous reviews this one is from the perspective of the Dean's List as a bar in lieu of a restaurant. Living in Las Vegas, I take it for granted that I could go into a 7-Eleven and pick up a 24-ounce can of beer. However near the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill and the Cambridge River bridges, it was difficult picking up a 24-ounce can of beer from 7-Eleven and the liquor stores that seemed to close early. The Dean's List was my source of a nighttime cold one on the nights when I was in the vicinity of the hotel by 11 PM. The bar is U-shaped with TVs broadcasting professional sports. On my last evening in Boston after visiting Fenway Park, it was at this very bar where I witnessed A Rod play his last game as a NY Yankee. I witnessed NY Yankee baseball history over a 20 ounce Sam Adams draft. The 20 ounce draft costs $9. Sam Adams is one of a few drafts on tap. During the few nights that we visited in the bar around 11 PM, it wasn't busy. This feels more like a hotel bar than one of the popular bars in town. When we weren't witnessing baseball history at the bar, we would carry our beer a few feet to the plush couches overlooking the Wyndham hotel lobby. Nearby was the rack of Boston brochures. It was here on our first night in Boston where we planned the Gray Line New England Coast excursion. This was an environment with little noise that was ideal for enjoying a Major League baseball game and planning an excursion near the elevator to the hotel room. As far as the service it wasn't exactly the kind of place where everybody knows your name. In actually it momentarily appeared that I was going to give it two stars when we arrived here ten minutes before closing time at 11 PM when the bar tender stated he had made the last call. My dad mentioned that it closes in ten minutes. The bartender was briefly disgusted when he had to delay closing up. I even mentioned to my dad that we should walk over to the Red Hat. Just like Boston weather, the bar tender's attitude suddenly changed for the better. Now he was engaging us in conversation. That conversation touched on Major League baseball. He even let us know that we were welcome to bring the beer up to the room. As far as the bartender on our first night here, that he was laid back. The Dean's List wouldn't be on my list of Must Visit Bars to visit in Boston. However, when you a Beacon Hill Wyndham guest, it is a convenient spot to wind down with a cold one after a day and night of touring.

A bit pricey for what it's worth, but it's convenient if you are at the Wyndham for a meeting (or I guess if you are staying there from out of town). Their menu is decent. They have good appetizers and flat bread pizzas. Someone below said it's not a place where they know your name, but the bartender actually recognized my friend and I , so there's that :) We had a meeting at the Wyndham and had come two weeks before to make final plans...and had stopped at The Dean's List both times. So that was nice.SOMETIMES, when you check in, you get a coupon for 25% off :) The restaurant absolutely DOES honor it, but it's only good for food. :)

Had both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was plentiful. I began asking for one scrambled egg to not be wasteful. Their sausage links were delicious. My english muffin was burnt. Home fries lacked spice. Their margarita flatbread pizza was good but over salty. It was more than enough for two. My husband and I shared. Garden salad was delicious. Greens could have been fresher. Service always excellent.

The food is amazing!! French toast and pancakes were fluffy and crunchy, pan seared chicken with rice juicy and delicious, and the veggie flatbread with balsamic reduction was absolutely wonderful! The bartender made cocktails that were not on the menu and was really good at figuring out what I wanted! White wine sangria was also fabulous! Get the cheesecake!! You won't be disappointed! The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because they are short staffed so we needed to wait. We're on vacation so we had plenty of time, but that might not be the case for others. The staff was great though. Lovely demeanors. If you have the time, I highly recommend this place!
