You know the place must be good when the majority of the customers represent the culture of the cuisine. I usually get takeout, so this was my first time dining in. There are 2 areas to sit so I recommend the inner room since it gets cold when the door is opened on a wintry day. Food didn't take long, it was fresh & hot. This is one of the few places I know in the area that serves Fresca de Jamaica - a little on the sweet side for my taste but you could definitely taste the hibiscus and once the ice melted, it helped reduce the sweetness. Don't let the menu fool you, you can still order the "Lunch" items at dinner time. My fave is now Montanero that has a little bit of everything I like - chicharron, fried egg, bistec, fried plantains, rice, beans, salad. If you like spicy, make sure you get the housemade green salsa!

Delicious. We ordered takeout. My husband his asada burrito and I had the chicken plate w blk beans, salad and a pounded chicken cutlet cooked on a flat top. Delivered quickly and so so good, not overly salty - a big flaw in too many Mex/Salvadoran restaurants. We also ordered the fried plantains, which are my faves. I found them a bit too oily and overcooked, not burnt just kind of mushy and stringy but still very very tasty. We won't hesitate to order again.

Favorite local Mexican food restaurant, super cheap and delicious! I love their carne asada gorditas ($4/ each) steak burritos($9), pupusas ($6/ each but huge) birria tacos are the best in the area (3/$12) and I love their horchata here. I have never had a negative experience both dining in and take out.

Went in today for the first time and ordered the Carne Asada meal. It comes with a lovely piece of steak that they were able to cook medium Rare for me even though it was very thin - there was yellow rice and a large salad plus black beans, a green sauce and it two pupusa's as well. Such a large amount of food for $15 with tax. I have tried the steak and rice- both excellent! I will definitely be back!And I went back today and had the steak quesadilla. Slightly over salty for but very tasty too.

I popped in here for the first time last night. I don't get out to Framingham that often. But now every time I'm in the area I'll probably swing by Guanachapis. The steak was nice and so was the shrimp, I ended up getting takeout to bring home. The Motanero and the tacos were incredible. Highly recommend.
