"Jaho South end is The island of misfit baristas - it seems to be where all the terrible baristas get exhaled.Your experience here shouldn't depend on the lack of training, mood, or experience of the person that serves you that day. Everyone should be trained to thr same standards. Also - thr place needs a refresh.I like Jaho - I want to love it like I used to but it seems to have been left to wither."

"I wanted something quick to eat and this place was it! There is no indoor seating and is just a to-go place. I love bahn mi and I ended up getting #3, fancy pork (idk what that means) & pork belly. The sandwich itself was really good and the meats were perfect. I came in the evening and I like that the bread was still fresh and not stale."
"This was my second time here...And it was absolutely delicious! This time I went to YouTube Shorts & ticktock to see what we should order next, the reviews did NOT disappoint! We ordered their infamous Italian sub with the rosemary cheese bread and I kid you not, it was the best sandwich ever (hence the 5 star rating).... If you don't have allergies like me, ask for it "Mike's way"...The chipotle cheese steak was perfect! They don't make it in front of you, however, they make it fresh to go!! It was also perfectly seasoned... This is my first chain restaurant that I've given back to back good reviews for... I seriously hope they keep this up!! I will definitely be a repeat customer... Y'all come check this spot out!"
"The subs were fresh and the pizzas are delicious!! Those guys really know how to make great food. They were friendly and personable. To me, the prices weren't bad. I highly recommend this place!"
"Biting into a roast beef 1000 is the definition of a slice of heaven. Soft pillowy bun, piles of flavorful fatty sliced beef, and a zesty thousand island sauce that is a party in your mouth. What more could you want in a sandwich? This online order only, walk up window operation that operates only a few days a week during lunch hours can be a bit annoying but maybe the scarcity is what makes it even more special when you do happen to get a sandwich on a blue moon."
"The Meridian special sub is a top 2 sandwich ever. So delicious. The bread is so good, the cutlets are thin and crispy..10/10 great sandwich. Can't stop thinking about it"
"My friend and I came here on a Saturday night for dinner. I had one of the best burgers in recent memory here, and now I'm sad that I don't live in Boston anymore because I would be coming back to this bar all the time if I did. Really great service and we loved the decor."
"Looking for a great cheesesteak, look no further than here! Sissy and I ordered cheesesteaks and it's definitely rated as first place in our book for best cheesesteaks in the area. Real cheesy which I love! The bro ordered a meatball sub which he enjoyed.Definitely will return if in the area. Also customer service was top notch, really friendly!"
"We had the most outstanding breakfast today! Great food and service ! Super tasting food and my new go to"
"This spot has been on my list for awhile and I finally tried it on a rainy lunch day.S4. BBQ Pork Banh Mi - the baguette is so pillowy and crackly. One of the best banh mi baguettes I've had. The pork was tender and seasoned well. The pickled carrots and daikon added a nice crunch and texture. The jalapeño added much needed heat. If you pay with card, there is a service fee which I didn't realize until I looked at the receipt after I left. Bring cash!"
"This spot deserves awards. Chef Dave has an amazing story of resiliency and maintains an impressive menu. Crispy Eggplant Caprese busts with flavor and the scallop bacon pizza is unmatched!"

When in Boston, naturally I had to try a lobster roll! I ordered the honey lobster roll per the recommendation of the cashier and it was very good. There was an amazing amount of lobster piled on! As a side, I ordered clam chowder and that was extra comforting on a rainy day. The restaurant is fast casual. Service was good.

Small hole in the wall.Crispy and delicious fried crispy rolls.Excellent fresh banh mi.Spring rolls are fresh.Venue is insanely dirty, which makes this place the real deal. Hidden gem in Chinatown you don't want to miss. No seating so take it and go. It gets busy.

Eating in is a totally different experience! It really is exciting watching them slice the deli meat fresh in front of you and then choosing from the fresh topping options that are visibly fresh. I tried the turkey with Swiss, Mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and bacon. My friend ordered the chipotle cheese steak which I was torn thinking I'd regret not ordering a cheese steak but definitely next time! Service was quick and friendly, not overly friendly but not poor service. They seemed to be picking up shortly after we arrived (about 3pm) and received our order, noticing more people coming in but even with only one person behind the counter, they seem to keep up with avoiding any egregious wait times. The location was unexpected but convenient and cute with surrounding shops and a gym in the same complex. Location was well lit and clean as well as open with ample parking. Will certainly be back!

I only leave good or great reviews. This deserves a great one! I would put this pie up to anything in Boston. One or two a week. Steak and cheese is pretty impressive also.

Pros:-Super Cluckin' Sunday chicken sandwich. I've only had the BBQ ranch so far but will be sure to try the Honey Mustard ASAP. Order ahead on the Monday before (instructions on their website) because it sells out and pick up is a breezeThe BBQ ranch chicken sandwich is delicious. The chicken is tender, sauces are tasty and overall it is a delightful experience that I can't wait to repeat!

Tasty, amazing portions & get your money worth! First off the people working there are awesome. Now when it comes to the food, I can only speak for the caprese sub, as it is the only thing I always get. It's always made with love and filled with delicious ingredients. Never a regret always a great experience!

The best bar in Boston! Such great people, both staff and visitors. Wildly chill but also very serious about their beers and food. So pleased you all have taken a good thing and made it your own!

"Went here to grab a bite to eat in the morning. There was no other customers early on a Thursday, so I was helped right away. The guy working the counter was super friendly and cooked up a three egg and ham sandwich on wheat that was actually exactly what I was craving that morning--and at a reasonable price ($5). Overall, wasn't sure what to expect for this place, but was very pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick bite around the area."
"New Deal is the place to get a sub and everyone knows it. I got there early on Monday and still had a decent wait but I didn't mind. The staff is friendly and funny. They've got plenty of options, but you've got time to make up your mind before you get to the counter. Don't get to the counter without knowing what you want. You'll be appropriately reproached. New Deal has a great produce section and interesting groceries as well, so you can browse while you wait. I got the Marco Polo, which is chicken cutlet with provolone and broccoli rabe. They forgot the hots, which was sad because we don't have hots where I live. But it was still an epic sub. I'm looking forward to returning whenever I'm home."
"Not bad! It's a cute spot near the Savin hill T stop. They're open for breakfast and lunch. There isn't much seating inside so it's best to take anything to go. The cashier was nice and my order came out pretty quickly. I ordered an ice coffee and the Phoenix. The coffee was alright and the sandwich was good. If you're looking for a quick bite to go and you're in the Savin hill area check it out!"
"I've been coming to ideals since I was a kid and absolutely love the subs here. The service is top tier and the people here are very friendly. If you're looking for some Cape Verdean food then definitely stop by they have some CV items on the menu. My go to item whenever I come by is either the Italian sub or the tuna sub. 10/10 ! If you're ever in the Roxbury area definitely stop by."
"I used to live right down the street from this cute little cafe and decided to finally give it a try a few days before moving away! Definitely regret not stopping by sooner, it was a nice experience! The staff were very friendly and kind upon entering. There were no other customers ( I came on a weekday in the early afternoon ) but in the mornings, I know it can be a lot busier as people are grabbing breakfast and coffee. I got a sandwich and coffee, both things were made relatively quickly. I ended up taking out, but they have seats inside and outside which I'm sure would've been a pleasant experience. The food itself was great - I highly recommend ordering in person rather than on any third party food app as the prices are noticeably more expensive if you do ( I saw that the sandwich I wanted was ~$11 on the app but only ~$9 in store ). I decided to go with prosciutto and provolone and didn't regret it! It was very cleanly made and very filling for the price. The coffee I bought as well tasted really fresh and had just the right sweetness ( they asked if I wanted to adjust it before I left as well ).Overall I loved this place and wouldn't hesitate to come back to try more of their menu. Thanks for the great food and kind service, Cafe Rustica!"
"Ordered a roast beef number 6 Mike's way Sandwich always nice and fresh, meats sliced to order for sandwich Looked like less roast beef since last sandwich there?Clean store, all clean and good.Eating inside was like a meat locker as no heat on???What up with that? Like sitting next to ketchup and mustard inside a refrigerator Need a meatball sub like firehouse subs"
"I often stop in before work and get a variety items; all good but partial towards the cinnamon roll. Got a chicken pot pie yesterday and threw it in the oven last night.I have been a fan of one of the leading chains in the area that I thought were the best chicken pot pie as this is their specialty; OMG I am trading teams. The chicken pot pie at Drive By Pies was the best I ever had! My family devoured it!"
"Had a milkshake on a hot day which was difficult to drink because they premade them so it was fully frozen. I had the cookie dough so all the chunks were at the bottom. It was good, but would need remixing at home, which isn't really what I want to be doing...."
"I have walked/driven by Johnnie's so many times, but this was my first time in after calling to order a Chicken Parm calzone; the small was huge! A nice woman answered when I called, and she was there 10 minutes later when I picked it up, very friendly in person and thanked me for coming in.After eyeing a plate of fudgy brownies I bought one of those too, it was excellent!I needed to pass one of their competitors - Gigi's - to get there, but I am no longer a fan of G's due to the snarly service and after trying Johnnie's great calzone I never need to think about Gigi's again. If you have passed Johnnie's too, go right in for a great surprise! There is retail parking along the driveway, so pull in and get your great food!!"
"I'm from out of town and I stopped by True Grounds for a light lunch on a recommendation. My friend and I ordered the tofu wrap to share and each got an iced Vietnamese coffee. I'm not usually a fan of vegan wraps but this one was flavorful with a good mix of veggies. The coffee was good, although I wish they had mixed in the condensed milk more. The decor was cute; unique designs on all the tables and a giant avocado painting on the wall which I loved. We arrived at about 1:30 and they close at 2, so when we were placing our order to dine in, the employee kindly reminded us of the closing time. When I asked, they provided us with an extra plate and glasses of water. The service was pretty fast, though to be fair it wasn't that busy, so we had plenty of time to eat our wrap before we had to head out. Next time I'll have to try one of their other sandwiches or wraps!"
"I ordered thru GrubHub after an hour and 40 minutes, with no delivery insight, I canceled with GrubHub and called directly. Food delivered in 30 minutes , $10 less expensive and the food was wonderful! Order directly through the restaurant, great people, great food, great service !!"
"I ordered online and went to pick up in store, but since there was only 1 worker and a bunch of others in the store it took a while to pick up my order. When the worker said my order was ready I thought I would be able to leave, but had to wait again because I was missing half my order. It's a fairly small space, but there is a small set of stairs to a seating area with a few tables if you choose to dine in. I ordered a chicken broccoli alfredo and created my own pasta with sausage and cheese. The container is not great for pasta because they pour in all the sauce at the bottom before they put in the pasta and toppings. It's difficult to mix, so you end up eating your toppings and are left with dry leftover pasta. There is enough for 2 servings if you want to share with a friend if you aren't too hungry. Overall, a quick and easy concept to try out, but I wouldn't return since there's nothing special about the pasta."
"I really adore the family that runs this little operation. As much as they bear the aura of *nonchalant-no-nonsense-straightforward*, they are actually very nice (and sometimes quite funny) folk. I recall one conversation the lady was having with an obvious regular over the phone. She had asked him several times what they wanted to order...I could tell that they had probably ate the whole menu at this point but couldn't decide in the moment. A few minutes later, I heard her say in an exasperated voice, "Oh, yoooooouuuuuu *KILL* meeeeeeee, please tell me what you want." (Note too that she says this in a particular sarcastic accent that literally made me absolutely LAUGH deep inside. Long story short, they continue for a bit on the phone and she finally finalizes the phone order.)I also fondly recall my first visit. I had ordered other dishes to try (none of which were Falafel despite it being part of the restaurant name). It was still pretty quiet as I literally got there as they were turning their open sign. Moments after I received my food, the owner himself stopped by the table with a small sample of his falafels after finding out it was my first time there. That short interchange immediately cemented their name in my list of places to dine. Why?They definitely serve some of the best falafels I've had stateside to date. And on top of that, I truly enjoyed the rest of the plates I've ordered so far. It's one of those places that just somehow tackles your palate with simplicity and complexity making you feel like you're at home and dining out at the same time."
"A wonderful little Cafe for breakfast, lunch, or just a snack. Stopped in for a coffee during a morning rain. Got a latte with oat milk, and it was so well prepared. Fresh ground and ever so good. It definitely hit the spot. The staff was very friendly and kind. The offerings look wonderful and highly recommend it."
"Awesome spot! Parfait and flavor infused coffee hit the spot. Everything was fresh. Exactly what we needed. Thank you!"
"Ordered these empanadas and was impressed at the size of them! They are twice the size of a regular one. The crust is very flakey and definitely super fresh. I was slightly disappointed on was the flavors inside and fillings didn't meet my expectation. The fillings had no spice or special taste ! The empanadas I recommend chicken, corn and cheese and the salami queso. The cheese inside is very gooey which adds to the crunch of the crust and the heartiness of the filling well. Dipping sauce for the empanadas was too basic; tasted like thousand island sauce."
"How I've missed the city feed deli... I lived in Jamaica Plain for 12 years and the turkey sandwich was always a special treat. Having been gone 4 years this treat was even more special. The sandwich is a bit expensive for its size but it is made with the best ingredients and the taste is so good. You can buy them freshly made or check the fridge in the back for premades. They give a discount for premades that are a day old.The convenience store always had something interesting to try too and I always appreciated the community bulletin board when I was a local. Very much enjoyed my sandwich and walk down memory lane."
"Ordered takeout for Father's Day and couldn't have been happier with the meat, service, and pricing. We had corned beef (both reg and lean) and pastrami and everyone was happy.Owner provided great personal service. Cash or Venmo only."
"Expected More, but Wonderful PeopleI was here for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was not busy (I was the only customer). The owner was working behind the counter preparing chicken for the shawarma. He stopped what he was doing, cleaned up, greeted me and carefully prepared the food I ordered. This kind of personal attention to the food doesn't exist at many places and shows the amount the owner cares about his restaurant. I've tried both the chicken and beef shawarma and both were pretty good. The food is all made in-house, and is all fresh. Just expected more. Thanks"
"My friends and I got take out as she said they have good banh mi sandwiches. Since I was not involved in picking up or ordering, I can only comment on their methods of packing. Everything was individually packed and minimally labeled if with or without a certain ingredient. For drinks we got their Thai tea and Vietnamese iced coffee. The tea was served in a larger container and was satisfactory in sweetness and strength, unlike the coffee, which was overly bitter and not very sweet. Including the banh mi sandwiches, we got an order of the BBQ Pork Chop and Shredded Pork which came with white rice. The deli meats were similar to those sandwiches from Dorchester but the pate and scallion oil weren't as flavorful. The pork chop looked and apparently tasted dry since they cook all the protein in the morning and reheat it per meal due to the limited kitchen size. Overall, sandwiches were good but can't say the same for the rice dish. Would order more banh mi sandwiches in the future!"
"Best cheese pizza in the area. Crust is nice and crunchy pizza is ready fast. I suggest to all to leave a tip. It's courteous and I can tell many don't and I don't understand why. They deserve it as much as the other restaurants you get to-go food from."
"little takeout place with a few cute tables outside to sit. solid pizza, nothing too crazy special but it did the job and we were satisfied"
"A nice neighborhood market/deli on Smith street, right where the Thai grocery store used to be. They have limited parking but street parking is usually not bad in this area. I went in to look for some ethnic groceries and they had a nice small selection of Asian and Latin American groceries. Unfortunately, the spiced rice that I was looking for.....they only had GOYA brand, which I don't buy because of GOYA's owner's political stands. Therefore, I did not buy any groceries. I checked out the deli section and their menu is large and varied. They have a large selection of prepared salads that look really nicely done. This business was born and created as a place where people can gather around excellent food, shopping, urban culture, and great coffee - that is the vision that Ken Zorabedian and Rick Melise had when they came up with the concept for Bodega on Smith. They wanted a place where people of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds could shop, meet, and mingle in the heart of Smith Hill, their childhood stomping ground. Located just a few blocks from the State Capital Building and a stone's throw from Downtown Providence, the Bodega on Smith provides quality produce from local Rhode Island farmers. You can pick up some fresh fruits and vegetables. There's a selection of vegan and non-vegan gourmet cheeses, cured meats, and farm fresh eggs. The prepared foods section is internationally inspired and changes daily with both vegan and non-vegan options. The Market Menu is a rotating menu, and their sandwich menu has over 30 sandwiches and a dedicated Vegan Menu. The one thing that I can also say is when I walked in, there was a pungent odor inside the entire store. Not sure what that was, but for me, it was a bit of a turn off."
