"What a great spot! I've been to Kaju Tofu House twice and it was super busy both times. You had to put your name on the list, but the waitress was kind enough to come out with menus so we could start perusing. The restaurant was very casual and definitely gave a college feel.I've tried a few different dishes, but you really have to go with one of the tofu soups for the real deal. However, if you're looking for tteokbokki, I'd go to Seoul Topokki instead. Overall, I was happy with both dining experiences here!"
"Koreana is a great place to come for KBBQ! In the Boston area, though I would love for there to be more options for KBBQ/AYCE options, I am appreciative that Koreana is around!I love getting the tofu stew soup, tteokboki, japchae, beef & pork spicy bulgogi meats to grill. They are very generous with the banchans and servers are incredibly kind and helpful."
A Korean classic. Scallions, carrots, squid legs, oysters, and baby shrimp!

"I have been on a Korean cold noodle kick. In a heat wave, nothing hits the spot like a big bowl of noodles with chunks of ice floating in the broth. (I should learn how to make this at home.)After scouring Yelp for a place in Boston that serves these cold noodles, I landed on Seoul Soulongtang in Brighton. Be sure to come around 6 even on weekdays or be prepared for a bit of a wait - we came a little after six and nabbed the last table for two; after we finished, we opened the door to find a long line outside. The menu features a bunch of other soups and dishes but I only had eyes for the last page of cold noodles. Broth: light, fragrant, condiments of salt and yellow mustard and vinegar provided. Noodles: nice and springy, they provide a pair of scissors to snip snip into more manageable bites.Standard garnishes of pickled radish, green onions, thinly sliced beef and cucumber, and half a hardboiled egg. Banchan: good selection and they give free refills. They also offer combo meals of noodles + galbi, which may be a good option for two people who aren't super hungry. It gets a little loud inside with people talking and someone manning the massive frying counter but nothing too bad. The service was not exactly friendly but very efficient and our food came out quickly.PARKING: If you do decide to chance the wait-time and come after 6, there's free parking in the lot on Comm Ave across the street, as well as a big parking lot on Harvard Ave behind Cafe Brazil Bakery."
"SOJUba is a nice place to go for a chill night out with friends! It's got a nice ambience here, that many people have noted, & fun drinks, LOTS of soju. If you're looking for some delicious Korean food in Boston, this is not the place to go. It's very much so just Korean bar food, mid at best & oftentimes, the food is not served to you hot, usually warm-ish cold. Do not have high expectations if you order any food from here. To be honest, just stick to the soju and you'll have a blast. Definitely recommend this place for big parties or even just a small group that's not looking to go out to the club. It's a lot more chill and a comfortable setting to have some drinks. They close pretty late, 2AM most days except Monday and Tuesday, which they close at 1AM."
"*NOTE* There's a small parking lot on your right when you pass this restaurant!Came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. This place is fairly small establishment but has a huge menu selection (cuisine from Japan, Thailand and Korea!).I got the beef Pad See You and it was absolutely tasty especially for the price! Many restaurants I've been to charge $2+ for what I got so I was extremely impressed for the high quality and taste of the meal.Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal and our waitress was quick and prompt with drink refills. This place can easily be passed by if you're not looking for it but if you want some high quality Asian cuisine you can't go wrong with this place if you're in the area!"
"I enjoyed the food and thought the prices were very reasonable. I was thrown off that my server didn't speak Korean though because it's my first Korean restaurant where I've experienced that lol but the cook is Korean. They had a lot of choose from and most of my traditional favorites. I would recommend if you're looking for a filling and delicious meal. It's also quiet if you need a break from the noise."
"bb.q Chicken in Allston was one of the chain's first locations in Boston/MA! Since then, they've opened & continue to open more locations. This location is opened the latest daily, until 2am, with take out last call being 10pm. Quality and taste of chicken is definitely the best here tbh. My go-to is the honey garlic! Always super crispy somehow with all the sauce. Service is quick & easy with menu scannable via QR code. A must try if you haven't yet... highly recommend the honey garlic. My favorite flavor that they offer ;))"
"Always quality and tasty Korean food every time I come. They recently changed management so they have an amazing deal for jajangmyun and jambong for half off! Both noodle dishes are so delicious! The noodles are perfectly cooked and chewy. The portion is generous, the flavor and sauce/broth is all on point. I've also tried the tofu soup, tangsuyook beef and ganpoong shrimp. The ganpoong is tangy, sweet and a little spicy. So good! Portions are large and definitely shareable. All highly recommend! The only downside is the location. It's hard to find parking in Union Square."
"Another great place to escape from the work grind and grab some good eatin' on Moody if you're craving sushi and/or Korean. The front of the restaurant was just a plane Jane looking regular restaurant but as soon as you step in, it was pretty nice, roomy, and clean. My coworker had the beef bimpibap lunch special and I had the spicy maki lunch special. The sushi here was great--sushi rice was very moist and the spicy tuna was on point. No complaints. The bimbibap came out sizzzzzzling which made the meal so inviting. With the egg on top as well. My sushi maki just had no trade value. It was a tootsie roll going against the butterfinger bar on Halloween. I'll have to try the bimbibap next time! Restaurant had plenty of space to host their guest. Of course on Moody, bring your parallel parking chops with you or park in the city parking lots off streets.Cheers"
"7.27.2022 No uni of any kind which is super disappointing for meOther food was average sushi. What's up very quickly and the waiter was nice I wish my water was refilled properly and on time but I didn't really need any extra water so I did not ask. Despite that if they poured more water I would have drank itThe pork belly was salty so I had to eat it with my spicy tuna sushi. I would not be able to eat it on his own but thanks goodness there was riceThe sushi sampler was OK it wasn't the most extra ordinary but it was tolerable."
"We got takeout from there and the food was bomb. The Toki Tochos and the wings were so amazing and literally everything we got from there was so good. Highly recommend."

My daughter lives down the street, and I was visiting; she knows I love all Asian food, and I had never had Korean food before, so we visited them. The small but efficient restaurant was clean and well-lit, reminding me of the Chinese restaurants I visited in Brooklyn as a boy. All good memories of my dad and I immediately made me feel at home.I ordered the fried dumplings with beef to start. As they were brought to the table, the server delivered five small bowls: black beans, kimchi, Mung bean salad, greens, and others. I sampled them all and loved all the flavors; the kimchi was not too hot and had a wonderful taste and texture. Everything was fresh and delicious.I ordered the seafood hot pot, and my daughter ordered the pan-fried noodles with beef. The seafood was plentiful, but the squid was too chewy. The sauce was wonderful, and I love how the rice gets hard and crunchy at the bottom of the stone bowl. My daughter loved her dish too, but she always eats there. Even though it was early, barely 6 pm, the place was crowded, and I watched as many happy customers came to pick up outgoing orders. It was not too expensive, and the quality was impressive. Overall the great service, generous portions and unique flavors make this a place I will return to in the future.

I love koreana. It's delicious. I've been coming here for years and the food is consistently good. We've come in large groups and small, and always managed to be seated even if there is a wait.We usually get the galbi and the pork bulgogi. We've also gotten several other meats and apps. I highly recommend coming here if you haven't had Korean bbq or want to have a slightly more fun dining experience (vs a no cooking in front of you restaurant). We went to Korea in 2023 and Koreana is doing a great job once food and side dishes. It's the best in Cambridge than I've found so far!

I would say this is one of my go to comfort food spots in Allston. My husband and I always crave their naengmyeon in the summer/warmer months, and their soulongtang or kalbitang in the colder months. We love their combos with the meat options -- such a great deal! Fast service and easy casual vibes, which is nice for a quick nice dinner.

Uber eats order while traveling for business. On my view, getting a 5* based on Uber eats alone is challenging delivery food is usually not as good as in person dining.Crunchy corn was the star of the show. A great crunch with a sweet and salty flavor. I want try to figure out how to replicate at home. The garlic noodles were great too, simple and tastyBulgogi was good as well.

Not as good as I had hoped. A group of foodies took me here, 2 of which were from Thailand. We agreed to try the spot based on reviews. PROS: Country Pad Thai was pretty good. The rest of the dishes were not very good. Service was polite. CONS: The gyoza tasted like they came from the frozen section of the supermarket. I didn't find any of the food to offer a mind blowing, authentic Thai experience. Seating is limited. Parking is on the street. OVERALL: I was disappointed in my meal here after seeing how highly rated this place was. I expected this to be phenomenal based on reviews. Since this place seems to do several cuisines, I don't think they focus on any one to really reach a level of masterful execution.

Seoul accommodated us despite a last minute request for four people. The servers were professional and made sure we had drink orders before looking through the menu. The restaurant itself is very cozy with wide table spacings and aesthetic decorations. My friends and I opted to order the spicy rice cakes, beef and potato soup, and the fried chicken wings. Wow everything packed a kick in terms of spice level, but the flavors were on point. I was especially impressed with how crispy and juicy the chicken wings were. The rice cakes were cooked to perfection. Not too chewy and not too hard. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Super delicious! My friends and I always come here for dine-in or takeout when we are craving chicken. I LOVE cheesling. Please try this flavor if you haven't yet! The other flavor we like is the Hot Mala wings. It's not spicy if you eat spice frequently. The service is nice and quick. Not much to say about it to be honest! The ambiance is chill, but somewhat lively. There are always booths filled with customers eating chicken. Good place to go with friends/fam, simple date, pretty much anything!

I ordered the pork Tangsuyook (sweet and sour pork) for delivery. The order arrived fast and the pork was still very warm and crispy upon arrival. While I enjoyed the sweet and sour sauce, the pork batter needed some seasoning. It was pretty bland on its own but thankfully the sauce is a good sweet and sour sauce that is flavorful without being overly sweet and syrupy.

"I absolutely LOVE this place! You must come here. It is located in Allston-Brighton near the CVS. They work like machines in the back truly! It's quite incredible. A very small holes in the wall place with BIG flavors! They're super attentive Korean place that consistently stays busy! It's a must! I got the personal bowl that includes rice, bone, potatoe and tofu! I added veggies and it comes with sides of rice, macaroni, kimchi and so much more!"
"Not sure why the reviews aren't particularly good. This place has an insane lunch special! I ordered the Yookgaejang, which was a spicy beef soup dish, for just $12. It was a pretty big portion, so I had leftovers. Not to mention, it came with a bunch of banchan. I wouldn't say this was the best Korean I've had, but it certainly did the trick, especially at that pricepoint. This isn't an especially upscale place, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for date night or anything, but it's perfect for a casual meal with friends or even a quick solo lunch. The service was solid, no complaints from me! I would happily return."
"Seoul Jangteo is the perfect Korean comfort food spot in Allston. Allston is like Boston's little Koreatown! My go to's to get from here are: seafood jjambong noodle soup, tofu stew, and tangsuyuk (fried pork with sweet and sour sauce). The jjajangmyeon is also pretty good from here. Last night, we ordered the seafood scallion pancake, a small spicy tangsuyook, seafood jampong (D7) with extra veggies & seafood, & stone pot pork with rice. Very generous portions, in my opinion. The prices may look a bit steep but it's because most of the dishes are meant to be shared family style. Seafood kimchi pancake was alright, it wasn't crispy and kind of mushy... probably wouldn't get that again from here. The tangsuyook was good! They definitely do make one of the crispiest tangsuyooks around. The stone pot pork was yummy and the jampong was amazing as always. Lots of shrimp, calamari, & noodles. I can never finish this dish because the portion size is huge haha. Service depends on the day... some days they are super attentive and get your in order within a few minutes of sitting down or you may have to wave for them to come take your order. Food tends to come out within a reasonable time though. One of my favorite spots in Allston to go to for Korean comfort food. I wish they were open for late nights or even until 11pm."
"Pretty good sushi and impressive delivery packaging. They also have great combo deals for delivery - I really enjoyed the 3 roll combo (6 pieces each) and a miso soup, all for less than $20!Great prices and good sushi - I will be ordering from Yoshi's again :)"
"Since Bon Chon in Allston went downhill bad, I was looking for a good fried chicken spot. Fiya fit the bill and I decided to take out some Korean fried tenders. First off, the tenders are massive. You get alot of chicken for your buck. Plus they throw in pickled radish.I tried the spicy sauce, the soy garlic and the Fiya sauce. The spicy and soy garlic were awesome. They reminded me of the good Ole days of my favorite chicken joints. The Fiya sauce was a bit sour, tasting like it was maybe soaked in kimchi? I'm not sure. Not bad but not my favorite. They have a great selection of chicken. The chicken sandwich is thigh meat. The only white meat are the tenders. They also have bone-in chicken which I'll try next time. Overall; this is my new favorite Korean chicken place in the Boston area. Definitely worth a visit. Tip. I think they check vax cards to dine in. Great covid protocols. Clean place."
"This spot is right on BU campus so super convenient! They have delicious tofu soups with a variety of other dishes. My favorite would have to be their pork tofu soup with pork belly combo. The pork belly is juicy and crispy at the same time and the portion is a decent size. The tofu soup is delicious and a must have during Boston's cold winters. Another favorite would have to be the hotstone bulgogi noodle soup - super rich with flavor and a comfort food to me. Their service is always great and everyone is very nice. This is a great place if you're looking for yummy korean food!"
"I've eaten here again several times and decided my favorite sushi roll is the Paradise Maki, yum!"
"On a weekday lunch a coworker and I decided to try out Haju Kitchen, being one of the few Korean restaurants in the immediate area. Although the establishment was mostly full, I managed to snag the last table. I ordered for myself the seafood soft tofu stew. For the table I ordered the fried chicken w/spicy soy garlic sauce & scallion. The seafood tofu stew's broth was far too one-dimensional. It tasted only like basic stock and gochujaru. There were no aromatics, like garlic or additional anchovy stock. 2*Additionally, the establishment only served one banchan - fish cake. Not even basic kimchi or bean sprouts were served. 1*The fried chicken with spicy soy garlic sauce & scallion at least seemed passable. It wasn't spicy, but at least had decent amounts of scallion. 3*Overall, the experience seemed mediocre at best. I doubt I'll return."
"Anyone rating this less than 5 stars has no idea what their talking about. This place is SO good and they give you so much food for such good prices. I love this spot. It's definitely more of a casual restaurant but a great spot for a date night. Everyone is so nice! I don't understand the rating at all."
"I used to come here all the time when I lived in Arlington and I do NOT remember disliking the food. But here we are in 2018 and things have gone downhill.I came during the week so it was pretty empty. Service was terrible which was pretty interesting because NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE. The waitress misheard us on drink orders and seemed annoyed about it... Also, I ordered shrimp tempura and received a shrimp tempura maki roll? I was pretty frustrated by that point so we just ate it.Spicy Tuna- SPICY. SO SPICY. Good.Spicy Salmon- Fishy. Haven't had old fish in a LONG time. No one liked this (or wanted to eat it).Eel Avo- Good.Hamachi roll- Okay, way too much riceShrimp tempura maki- Tasteless except the shrimp. I would never order this again (and I didn't mean to this time). The ratio of fish to rice is so off. I felt like I ate a huge bowl of rice after leaving Mr. Sushi. They should re name it Mr. Rice.Sake was good."
"Happened on this place as it was close to our hotel and good reviews. And we were headed back home. What can I say? They have so many choices - all via the walls covered with choices.Mom and pop with lots of foot traffic getting their morning start. We had a breakfast sandwich and avocado toast and 2 coffees. Quick and cheap.Try them out."
"Great option for friends gathering and birthday parties- love the tenderness and flavor of the wings- my absolute favorite was the cheese oneWill definitely order again when I'm in Boston"
"bulgogi beef is FIRE! a bit slow service but well worth the wait & this spot is so much mote chill than eating at quincy market!"
"A new bb.q chicken opened up near Boylston station right on Emerson college campus. There isn't much street parking except a few spots, but they're typically taken. You order and sit down where ever to dine. It's more like a grab and go ordeal at this location rather than a sit down restaurant like the one in Allston. The cashiers were super helpful and choosing what to order. We decided on two small wings and the rice cakes +cheese. The rice cakes+cheese was so good!! It was flavorful, a little bit spicy and paired well with the cheese. The cheeseling wing was WAYYY too salty (don't get). We asked the cashier about it and they willingly exchanged it for a different flavor. The chef in the back delivered it to our table and told us that their corporation changed the recipe and he thought it was super salty too. Service was amazing and helpful. Plenty of seating and not too busy during dinner time. They do not offer tap water so bring your own water or buy bottled water there."
"I'm so glad this place exists! It brings authentic Korean food to Fenway. The dining room is subterranean but clean and cozy. We came with a few friends and shared a scallion pancake. Collectively we tried their soft tofu soup, and dupbap (stone pot sizzling rice bibimbap), and Galbi combo. Everything tasted amazing!! The service was friendly and efficient."
"I came here yesterday with a friend and it was nice to taste some familiar flavors! We ordered a small (which is a generous term as it's actually quite a lot of chicken) soy garlic and a small Gangnam Style...because I couldn't resist the name It's great that the chicken comes fresh to order. Note that rice is an extra. They also have waffle fries (really well seasoned), sweet potato fries, some other sides, and drinks on a separate menu to the left of the register. The Gangnam Style chicken (level 1 of 4 on their spicy scale, which is less than I would normally do) was delicious. Seasoning on point, with little jalapeño rings on top. The soy garlic was also nice and a familiar flavor from when I lived in South Korea. I'll definitely be back here!"
