Our group's dinner and drinks at Batifol was a most outstanding experience. Besides good food and drink, we had superb service from a waitress who was extremely professional and a personality that just made it that much more enjoyable. We began with drinks outside and moved inside for dinner. The drinks are well crafted, and they tease you with their liquor supply being in the back of the bar against the windows for you to browse as you walk by. If you like oysters, consider the weekday oyster special of $1 each between 4-6pm.Dinners include but are not limited to a number of traditional French offerings. The wine list is expensive, and sometimes expensive, but our group was able to enjoy 2 bottles of a reasonably priced Cab Franc without breaking the bank. Everything was prepared well, came out together, and the meats were incredibly tender. My boeuf bourguignon included some of the most delicious roasted carrots I've ever had. Were we not already full from dinner, we would have ordered desserts too, and mine would have been the croissant bread pudding. If space and time permit, this is a wonderful place to practice "slow dining."

Slightly disappointing dinner. Went here for special occasion and was looking forward to the evening but was underwhelmed. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. We were seated on the banquette with a couple marble/iron tables pushed together. Our 'waiter' who was the bartender (we were there for super early dinner) made excellent drinks but wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu. - escargot was great but wasn't a fan of the zucchini flower 'salad' as it came out luke warm and missing the lightness/crunchy- onion soup had a weird flavor to it as others have mentioned- most of the food came out together but we waited for a while for the last plate to arrive- steak frites (ordered med rare) were way too rare and we asked for them to cook more and they came out rubbery and well done- beef Bourguignon was okay but seemed to be missing that rich flavor and tender beef, although the carrots were cooked perfectly- sorbet and chocolate mousse were good but sadly they were out of creme brûléeHalfway thru the meal we had another waitress step in and remedied the steak frite issue and took it off the bill. Disappointed as there was no acknowledgment of birthday especially since the reservations mentioned it and again when confirming reservations over the phone. Street parking available but limited.

Food: we tried a couple items on their restaurant week items which honestly felt like they kind of half assed. It was $27 for three which is a pretty great deal for what you're getting, but I truly feel like it wasn't as well presented as I thought it would be. The escargot was just soaked in butter, and the proportions were rather lackluster at some pieces were small, and some pieces were big, and I feel like the plating was just rather not the greatest. The deviled eggs was rather tad bland, but the carrots help blend the contrast in the flavors. The burger and french fries which somehow the burger looked a lot smaller than I thought, even the fries were bigger than it. The fries kind of remind me of the McDonald's fries, which I'm actually a fan of. The steak and fries were cooked accordingly, but somehow the sauce and everything else was just plain. It didn't even seem like they seasoned it not even salt or pepper. The steak is slightly charred, but that's about it. The dessert was probably the best part of everything and probably saved the entire meal experience. Both the crème brûlée and the chocolate mousse were delicious and had the even amount of sweetness contrast.Service: The service was lackluster. It felt like they were just doing the bare minimum, and only came to check when we finished our meals. At some point, our server got switched, but had we known that, we would not been here waiting for somebody to come see us for 30 minutes after our first meal. The busboys were better at serving than the servers. I'm just kind of disappointed that that's the kind of service we got Ambiance: we arrived to visit for restaurant week and saw how beautiful the decor was. They have a wide selection of winery displayed, and the color contrast makes the atmosphere enjoyable to sit and watch the city. Location accommodation: they have outdoor seating as well as bar, parking is limited on the side for two hours or there's possible garages nearby. You can make a reservation, but we walked in with no wait at around 3 o'clock on a Sunday.

Since this restaurant has opened , the quality of the food keeps coming down . Not to mention the very poor service . Today we had a confirmed reservation . Upon arrival , they told us they had gas issues so only cold plates could be served ... and they could not proactively call the people who had made q reservation

Overall, Batifol is a very pleasant French cafe to have dinner. Really enjoyed the outside seating but the decor inside is quite nice also. I had the lamb shoulder which was tender but lacking in flavor. However, I enjoyed the polenta that came with the meat. Staff provided quick service and the manager made room for the many outside requests on a beautiful day. The bread at the beginning of the meal was very fresh.

Very nice interior. Food was very good, and feels more upscale- good for dates or a fancy meal out without spending $100 each. Our server was incredibly friendly, and we loved our experience.

We visited during Dineout Boston. This was my second visit to Batifol. The first visit was 2022 few weeks after they opened. I am a big fan of french restaurants. Personally, it wasn't impressive at the first visit so I didn't plan for the second visit but went for my friend during Dineout. Escargot was the dish I go for in all french restaurants. It was just okay, could be better. Carrot salad was excellent! But not sure if they have in regular menu, which I couldn't find. French burger - also not in the regular menu - was unique with the touch of brie. Grilled pork chop was better than I expected. It was bit salty but was great combination with mashed potatoes and mustard sauce. Out of all Dineout menus, I liked carrot salad and pork chop which seems like not available from regular menu but also due to this reason, I am glad that I tried during Dineout. I tried to taste other dishes from my first visit. I had beef tartare, mussels, beef bourguignon, escargots de bourgogne, creme brulee, ice-creams at the first visit. All dishes were okay. Service was great and it's good for both girls night/ brunch or dates.

Food was fresh and affordable! I mean $1 oysters, take my money! My son and I were visiting Boston and had just finished up our Charles River Boat tour, and this seemed like a great spot for dinner! Staff was great and attentive! We ended up sitting outside, because we wanted to be in Boston bustle!

A nice very nice place for a lunch meeting. We went on a Thursday and didn't have problems to reserve a table and when we arrived a few minutes early, were seated immediately. It was nice that the sound level made a conversation possible. A strong contrast to the want-to-be trendy places. French lunch has to start with Pernod. We both chose steak and frits. My friend medium and I medium rare. What we got was more on the well side, but still okay. Despite the meat, we opted for a bottle of muscadet. Very yummy. My desert, Basque cheesecake was delicious and required an espresso. Our cordial choice was Calvados, which made the rest of the day a little less productive. I definitely will return to assess the kitchen again.
