Meh- we went before a show. It was clean and service was good. The burger was a good burgerThe salads were not great. The Cobb salad had old cold bacon slices on it and not a lot of much else besides chicken- it was just lacking-l so much- I should have taken photosThe Thai chicken salad was terrible. The chicken was hard- dry and covered in sweet chili sauce- as were most of my greens. Couldn't even taste any dressing because of all the awful chili sauce. The peanut sauce inside was as thick as peanut butter. Just a terrible experience with salads. The snickers dessert ice cream again was basic. Very little sauce drizzled on top. It was vanilla ice cream with peanuts and a couple small squiggles of sauce.I only recommend if you get a burger only.

This is my second time I've been here and although I don't really remember what I ate before, I will say that I was quite impressed by the quick turnaround town because I had to go to the museum next-door. I ordered the steak tips and Thai flavored chicken wings. The wings were OK, but I think the sauce and accompanied it made it better. I prefer a little bit more crunchy skin. But the steak tips were delicious, the mashed potatoes and broccoli was just a good balance. Definitely recommend to come here if you want to have a quick bite no nonsense meal in the downtown area for residents visitors.

I came here for dinner before seeing a show at the Citizens Opera House. It is conveniently located three doors down so it's nice you can just walk over to grab a bite. The inside has a fun kinda beachy vibe to it? Nothing about it is beachy though, it just gives off that vibe with the wooden tables and light wood walls and the semi circle bar at the front reminded me of a tiki bar or something. I'm still a little confused on how to describe the decor/vibe but I hey I honestly kinda liked it. The menu had a little bit of everything in a sortve confusing way. Steak tips, grilled salmon, pulled pork tacos, meatloaf, bruschetta as a starter, etc. I went with a cheese burger since the burgers seem to be their speciality. Our server was great. Attentive, nice, timely, all the things. The food and drink on the other hand, unfortunately wasn't anything to remember. I got their spiked strawberry lemonade and normally I would sip this down with ease. And even would order a second! It's one of my favorite drinks. Here, it was hard to sip. It didn't taste like any version of lemonade and fell flat with the flavor in general. The bruschetta starter was alright! The tomatoes and mozzarella with balsamic on top tasted fresh, but the bread chips were very thin and toasted to a point that it had a weird crunch when you bit into it. It also only came with about 5 mini chips so we had a ton of leftover tomatoes and mozzarella. I ordered the cheeseburger (not pictured) which had a large dry patty and the bun was not fresh or fluffy. Unfortunately lacked flavor and freshness in this department. The fries were great though! It's a bummer I really wanted to like this place!

You'll find Back Deck on the corner of Washington Street and West Street. It appears to be a happening spot because the tables, after 5pm, filled rather quickly. Our waitstaff, specifically Delaney (beautiful name BTW) very sweet and personable. Love the red chairs. The open full wall "sliding window" connects you to the city while you dine. My party had the Creamy Hummus, Grilled Chicken Skewers, Greek Salad, Grilled Salmon with Teriyaki Sauce, and the Fiery Grilled Chicken Tenders. Now about the food...If you ask me, and you must be because you're still reading this review. I can understand why they have 3 stars. It's not that the food is bad. It's just nothing to write home about. There's nothing exceptional or amazing about it. The food presentation and food taste was just average. Looking at that pale bread next to the Grilled Chicken Tenders was disappointing. Overall, it's just, average. As for the question I always ask myself, would I return? Probably not.

The theme of this downtown Boston restaurant is that you are dining on your back deck. The tables and chairs resemble those you would have on your back deck or in your yard. The bar area also has a large umbrella over it. The ambiance is very cute. Service was also great for our 5:30 reservation. We decided to share the grilled garlicky sirloin tips, grilled wings with thia chili sauce, and the lobster Mac and cheese. Everything tasted great. The sirloin tips came with a spicy ketchup sauce, but you didn't even need it, they were so good. The Thai chili sauce was also excellent. For dessert, we opted for the flourless brownie with vanilla ice cream. It was also delicious. A great experience overall.

Found ourselves in town and wanted to grab some good food. We jumped on Instagram and saw a few influencers talking about this location and the spot. We decided to go give them a try, but we're not as impressed as we thought we would be. Our service was kind of twisted as well and we left feeling a little Terrell, no really Weirded out. Maybe we caught them on a bad day as we will surely try to give them another chance the next time we're in town.

Food was very blah. We got the eggs Diablo and the pulled pork and eggs. The pork loin in the eggs Diablo was super dry. The pulled pork was super plain. Waste of $60

Love the atmosphere. Very nicely decorated and well thought out floorplan. It was warm and inviting, one TV in the bar area but thank God it was only something as innocuous as golf.I'm a lone diner, and when I asked if I could have a window seat which is designated only for four, I think she was a little annoyed and expected me to say I wanted to sit at the bar. Please, if I ever do anything to annoy you, don't ever show your annoyance. The server was friendly enough and did her job well but I don't understand why at the end of my meal when taking my plate, she would just ask if she could get the check instead of, can I get you anything else? I was just a little weirded out by that.I ordered a glass of wine which was a Pinot Grigio but I could swear it tasted like a Chardonnay, which I absolutely loathe. Alas. Yes, and now for the Greek salad. I didn't get any protein on the Greek salad because I wanted to go totally veg. When I got it, it was very questionable whether the dressing was made with olive oil. Greek salads should always be made with EVOO and nothing else. It also seems like I got a bowl full of Romain lettuce, and very few accoutrements. It had some marinated onions, olives, Greek feta, and cucumbers. But, all of those things didn't compare with the amount of lettuce. With restaurant prices what they are today the least they could do is put some substance in my bowl.It was also quite flavorless with virtually no seasoning whatsoever. The other thing that I found particularly annoying was no bread. There was no offer of any bread with my salad. I will never understand that. When offering a Greek salad, they should at least make an effort to make it authentic, but it seems to me here that there was no effort made.If I'm ever in this area again, which is unlikely, I would probably give them a second chance. Redemption can be oh so sweet.

I have been back to Back Deck a number of times in the last few years, and they have greatly improved since my first visit. Food and drinks are great. However what has been most impressive is their ability to manage a gluten allergy. Having been there a few times with another individual with Celiacs, I know that going out can be stressful even with assurances that a restaurant is gluten free, however she has been reassured by the waitstaff when she tells them of the allergy and had great experiences. We will be back!
