It is amazing how many times I come to Burlington/Graham/Mebane area from Greensboro to eat lunch. The area just to seems to have more, and better, lunch places from seafood (Harborview & Hursey's BBQ) to BBQ (Hursey's & Simithfield) to Burgers & Dogs (Zacks, Danny's, Skidds, & Jim's among others) to Thai (Dan Thai). I sometimes forget about this place, maybe because I gravitate towards Zack's so much. But this place, just around the corner from both Zack's and Danny's, serves some pretty good, uncomplicated food at breakfast and lunch, and the place has been around nearly as long as Zack's.Breakfast fare is available all day, and I am incline once in a while to have standard breakfast food for lunch. It is good here, and all the usual suspects are available, and good. The burger and hot dogs are solid, small town diner good - not the best I've had, even in Burlington, but solid. The chili is a little different from most Southern chili, in that it tastes more of tomato, with a edge of sweetness - like a lot of the chili you find in Greek run restaurants - Zack's excluded. This time of chili is very prevalent in the Winston Salem area. The fries are good, as well. The serve a cheese dog here - a real cheese dog. A block of cheese is substituted for the wiener, and then dressed as you like. Interesting but not my cup of tea. They serve some meat and 2 plates here, and the spaghetti is very good. The service here is always good, and while the interior is not particular bright and shiny, it is roomy and comfortable. There is counter seating, booths, and tables. The place is always loaded with regulars, a good sign for any diner, and the owner will talk your ear off if not too busy. This is blue collar food, and a good rendition if it.

Family of 4 ate for $42.00. Interesting place, quaint and decorated to the nines with nostalgic stock certificates of old rail lines and what not. Large interior if privacy is wanted. Sandwiches are fresh, well packed with meat and all the trimmings. Unique and recommended!

I'm gonna keep this simple. Go to Zack's around the corner. The people here are nice but the place is gross. My fiancé and I ordered 4 total hot dogs but we didn't eat them. This is due to no one in the kitchen wearing gloves and everyone touching food and serving food with the bare hands. Grabbing utensils and grabbing food, touching doors and then prepping your hot dog all without washing hands. This is extremely unsanitary and I refuse to eat that. Their sanitation scores are consistently low as well. Also, underneath some of the appliances and furniture up front, are some really gross floors. This place needs a serious remodel and wake up call to good and hygienic food practices.

We were walking Burlington and came to this cafe. It did not look like much, but we gave it a try. The decor is outdated, but the flavors were not. They have the BEST home fries in the world. The tea is definitely fresh. They cooked an over-medium egg to perfection. The staff were friendly and efficient. All around, this was a GREAT meal. When we return to Burlington, we are definitely stopping again.

This place has been here for years and for good reason! The hot dogs are amazing! Combination dog all the way is my favorite, it has a thick piece of cheese in it too!! The chili is homemade and out of his world! Yes, the interior is old.... But for me it just makes it homier!! Same owner and waitresses for years, and everyone is super friendly. I rarely eat breakfast, but when I do.... This is the spot! Thanks Boston sandwich shop for never changing!

My wife and I have ate here twice now. We found the serve good and friendly. As for the food, we found it ok. The potions are good but the food is bland The burgers and chili dogs are no better or worst than any other fast food restaurant. (Note: I haven't try the breakfast meals yet. I do intend to try them.)The prices are good and you can get a refill of your drink to go.It does need Wi-Fi and tv for a better experience.

Anybody who rates this below 5 stars is clearly not a local and does not know what to order. There's a reason this restaurant has been around for 50 years, If you go to to this restaurant, you must get the cheese dog, and a cheese dog isn't a hot dog with cheese on top, if you're worried about these low ranked yelp reviews both urbanspoon and trip advisor rank this restaurant just short of 5 stars.Excellent diner to visit. Just order the cheese dog.

I can't even rate this place because there's no -5 stars. I only rated it one star because it wouldn't let me post it otherwise. This place should be condemned. There is old dried grease and grime on everything, walls, doors. Old grease from years ago runny down the machines near where we were sitting. Even the bathroom was disgusting. I only stayed because someone else took us there for lunch and I couldn't disrespect that person. I won't be going to lunch with that person anymore. I don't know how the health department didn't shut them down 30 years ago.
