Boston Ale House

My boyfriend and I stopped by Boston Ale House on a whim expecting it to just be a beer joint, but we were pleasantly surprised by their extensive menu and the outstanding service we received. We were here for dinner on a Monday night and both ordered the Chicken Milanese which came with breaded chicken wings, a sunny side up egg, arugula salad and potatoes. I never would have thought of combining these ingredients together in a meal, but they were quite delicious! Our waitress was wonderful and worked with the bartender to make me a berry mocktail based on one of the alcoholic mocktails on the menu. The vibe is casual, but trendy. Favorite local bar!! Pizza is wicked good. Music is good on a Friday night (when we visited). Staff is chill and everyone is so friendly! Def coming back more often

My neighbors and I enjoy coming to this place a lot. The pizza here is really good and they got a good selection of beers and cocktails on their menu. The staff are always sweet. I mainly see the place as a sports bar but I definitely want to try their brunch and dinner menus. It seems like the place can hold a large group and they have patio seating as well. Also they have trivia every Wednesday at 7:30pm.

Went in for lunch today about 2:30pm. Drinks were good, bartender was friendly, and the fish sandwich & turkey sandwich were very good. The problem was the music they had playing. Now let me say, I love all types of music, but there is a time and place for some. Not many people were in there but there was a family with 2 young kids. The music was mostly rap. I'm sorry but trying to eat lunch at 3:00pm in the afternoon & having to listen to songs that frequently mentioned grabbing the booty, smack my a$$, the "F" word, the "N" word, and more inappropriate phrases is just in poor taste.

This place is a big, fun tavern with classic American/bar food. The staff is attentive and provide good service. I love coming here when I want to grab a bite and watch a sports game on one of their many big screens. The bar is usually full of people there for the same reason I just described. This place is big enough to sit away from the bar if you want a more intimate experience with a group of people or just one other person. I believe they also have trivia nights and for those nights, I recommend making a reservation.

Wonderful food and service as always at the Ale House, Juliana was unfailingly fantastic. The ambiance was also lovely as the space is very open and airy.

This is not your typical review. Last night, my wife and I met my cousins for dinner. We were greeted by a wonderful waitress who was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable with the menu. She guided us into our meal decisions and set us up with excellent drinks and then everything went sideways. One of the people in our party suddenly and unexpectedly appeared to spontaneously lose consciousness. It was immediately apparent that we needed emergency medical attention. The management and servers could not have been more supportive, more compassionate and more professional. As the EMT's were taking my cousin, I sought out the waitress to settle the bill and move on to this unexpected change of venue. She told me that, not only had the manager comped our drinks, they offered to pack our food (which was only starting to arrive when the medical emergency began) into to go containers and not charge us anything for the meal.The waitress then asked for my cousin's name so that she could include her in her prayers that evening. The Boston Ale House is a class establishment.

I moved here a few months ago, and to be honest I have only enjoyed their Monday night five dollar burger nights. That being said the burgers were fantastic, the service amazing and the atmosphere well it's a sports bar and yet it was well lit, clean, comfy and friendly. On mondays, you can order a burger of choice from their menu for five dollars and a salad for two. Both of which are phenomenal and large, I have seen many families come early in the evening as well as large groups of friends and couples. It is just a great place to come and get a wonderful meal, especially Monday. I am assuming that the rest of the food is excellent as well. Oh wait, we did order poutine last time we went. It was the best ever! Try it!

Brunch is so yummy salmon tartare with bagel chips was delicious and Juliana is an super server, friendly, attentive always happy when she is our serverLove this place!!

The fried pickles were great and plentiful. The waitress was not very attentive and long wait for my entre I tipped any way b/c I know wait staff does not make much money.I ordered the ny steak with rice instead of mashed potatoes and asked that my asparagus be crisp. I received a few tablespoons of rice and the asparagus was over cooked. When I informed the waitress she apologized but made no attempt to contact the manager. I had to request that she contact the manager. The manger never came out but deducted one dollar from the bill. In summary I do not think I would enjoy another visit to Boston ale house in west Roxbury. Date of experience 10/11/24 5:30pm
