Groupon led me to another place off the beaten path. I looked at the menu and my frugal meter didn't even chirp. Did I just find a hidden treasure? This place has an extremely friendly staff. Let them know what you are thinking and they accommodate your eating desires. They sold out of brisket and cabbage within the hour, so maybe I need to get her before they open so I can try both. The wing epidemic has struck this place, so they didn't have wings for sale. I ordered the following:Boudin chipsA sampler of fish and shrimp. A 3 meat plate with 2 sides (ribs, smoked chicken, sausage, collared greens and beef baked beansPeach cobbler. The food comes out hot and fresh! Let's get this over with...the people can cook. Really good flavor with the fish, shrimp, bbq sauce and peach cobbler. Decent taste on everything else. The meats were not tough at all and came off the bone rather easily. They offer free refills on their teas. They do cater. You should seriously consider them catering your event. I'll be back to this place. Solid 4 establishment...but so friendly I'll give them the 5th star.

Food is amazing!!! However the speed you get drinks.. 15 minutes and counting and slow getting food out is not ok if your on lunch ... last time coming here!! Top it off they charge you $1.99 for water (not bottled water) which was supposed to be part of the combo. No ma'am rather eat at Jack in the Box than here now. Beyond livid! Check your receipts!

Amazing place, Delicious food Clean, fast, fresh Catfish plater and the brisket sandwich the best I've ever had,,, the wonderful people that run the place made us feel like family ... can't wait to go Back to Houston Texas.....

My lady said she wanted a bbq sammich. I read the reviews and decided to go check it out! I love finding hidden little gems and this is def that! The smell of good ass home style cookin hits you as soon as you walk in! There were about 3 tables of folks grubbin lookin full and satisfied so we felt like we were in the right place! Atmosphere was pretty nice and chill with eclectic tunes playin! We grabbed some half and half tea and an order of boudain chips. They were tasty! She ordered the chopped brisket sammich with fries and beef baked beans. Man, those baked beans go HARD!! We loved them! So fkn much!! I ordered the ribs, collard greens and cabbage! Ribs were nice, thick and delish! Cabbage was ok and collard greens were just like I like them!! We got a peach cobbler to split and it came out super hot and I went in anyway. It was worth the burn! I liked it a lot! I got a cup of the "house tea" it's good and tangy/sweet!! Be careful!! Lol! The owner Anthony said they have been open 9 months! I think that's amazing to open during a pandemic! He's a super smart and sweet guy cooking up good Tex-Louisiana cuisine with down home prices!!Don't sleep on this place! Come get a taste!

Found this place on Yelp and it was great surprise. I got the 3 meat special and all the meats were cooked to perfection. I got the green beans and the potatoes salad as the sides and were both flavorful also. Will definitely be back to try other foods.

Great little spot. The food is outstanding and the owner are super friendly. The music is great and the ambiance has that Louisiana zest.

Had to bring someone to see if I was crazy.... I was not this place is so good! Gumbo was amazing!!! Stuffed potato on point. Greens. What can I say I came here for the greens.

This place ROCKS! best home cookin and the people who run it are the kindest souls! The Boudain chips are YUM! Gumbo is sooo flavorful!

The place was closed on Friday during alleged work hours, the ambiance is scary, looks as if in an area with not much safety, at least the people don't abide the traffic laws. Also right next to the railroad, with the trains there at least the half an hour I was there, not a nice place at all. Looks like a container. I wanted to try since good reviews, but will never drive there again.
