Bona Fide is a cute little place with indoor and outdoor seating and the vibes are great! We parked on the street which was free but was a little tricky. Bona fide does have a dedicated lot somewhere, but we opted out.We ordered 3 sandwiches to split, strawberry shortcake, pork rinds, and fries! The sandwiches were oh so good and flavorful. I loved the pork rinds and the fries were yummy! The strawberry shortcake was a little meh and the cake was itself was giving 5 day old kroger bakery cake. If we skipped dessert, this place would easily be 5/5. Sandwich prices are a little high, but I'll def go back!

Writing this review as I'm sitting here. I like the vibe of this place.Very nice, airy space and plenty of seating inside and outside. Service is fast and friendly. Its the perfect day for a summer sando so I did a little research and landed on Bona Fide Deluxe. I got the smoked turkey melt, here's my short and sweet review:1st thought: the bread is a bit too thick for me. *In my opinion* It overpowers a lot of the flavor the sandwich has to offer.2nd thought: really loved the flavor of the smoked turkey and the pepperonata - delish.3rd thought: the portions are very generousI would come back again and try some of the other things on the menu, but I wouldn't jump at trying another sandwich unless I could swap out the bread for something thinner/softer. I also think the cost would be a deterrent. If I'm going to pay $20 for a hoagie, I want to love it.The bread does taste fresh though! And if you like your hoagie bread THIQUE, go for it.

Can you say good and great in the same sentence!? Bona Fide is located in between Candler Park and Edgewood. The Edgewood/Candler Park train station is in walking distance across the street. I parked on the street for free! I had lunch here with my 4-ever bestie. The service was top notch! We were greeted and received the entire rundown of the menu! The vibes(music) was on point from the door until we left! We ordered Smoked Turkey Bowl($16)house smoked turkey, avocado, arugula, parmesan peppercorn dressing, pepperonata, pickled onions; Deluxe Supreme (V)($16)artichoke spread, mozzarella, smoked cremini mushrooms, tomato, baby spinach, pepperonata; Fisherman Fries (V)($6)old bay, lemon, tartar sauce; Smashed Cucumbers (VG)($9)soy + peanut vinaigrette, garlic chili crisp, cilantro; AND TWO Watermelon + Kiwi slushies ($5)/each. Before taxes the bill was $57. Pretty high in price but, it was great! I will return! The decor in inside was soo cool. I loved the deep purple bar stools! Thanks Bona Fide Deluxe.

I visited Bona Fide Deluxe after a recommendation from a fellow Yelper and member of the Yelp Elite Squad, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Tuna Melt, which was an absolute delight. The addition of Zapp's Dill Pickle Chips added the perfect crunch and a burst of flavor that elevated the whole sandwich. I also tried the fries, which were thick-cut and seasoned with Old Bay, accompanied by a tartar-style dipping sauce on the side--absolutely delicious! The restaurant is located in an area with a beautiful green space, making it perfect for enjoying their outdoor seating and even a game of cornhole. Inside, the atmosphere is cozy and fun, with quirky decor and beautiful lanterns creating a unique vibe. They even had Saturday morning cartoons playing on projector screens, which added a nostalgic touch.Overall, Bona Fide Deluxe has quickly made its way into the top three of my favorite sandwich spots in Atlanta. I can't wait to return and try more of their menu!

I love the decor and the food was great. I paid $63 for their special burger with fries,Hot Italian, aperol spritz, and an old fashion. There are no notes and I usually have some. The meat is butchered in house, they'll make sure you're taken care of. The staff even make great suggestions. Parking is really small so if you're coming here with friends maybe you should carpool. I will definitely be back again to listen to soft rock and chat.

Tasty sandwiches, great vibes! Not that busy and very fast service on a Sunday afternoon. The OKie hoagie was a guilty pleasure - just a bit too greasy for something I'd eat in public! Fries were a bit too salty and the tartar sauce/lemon didn't cut through it.Smoked turkey melt was a hit!!Sandwiches are very big- unless you're quite hungry you can share.

Totally worth a visit! Vibes are VIBIN here. Atmosphere is an absolute 10/10 with the eclectic chic interior. There are banquettes and tables, as well as 6 or so picnic tables, some with umbrellas. We were there around lunch on a Sunday and it was perfectly busy where we could get a seat outside still. Prices - ranging from $12-18 per sandwich, but the portions are huge. Food - we got the chopped chicken and the tuna melt as well as the fisherman fries. Best tartar sauce I've had and the fries were seasoned well. The tuna melt was by far the star with great bread, savory tuna, American cheese, and some dried tomatoes. The bread was soft and not too thick. The chopped chicken was super flavorful but the potatoes made it too heavy. Parking - there was plenty of street parking but I did not see any available parking lot close by. Overall I can't wait to go back to try more things!!!!!

This place rocks! Excellent sandwiches in generous proportions - my favorite is the hot Italian and my lovely bride loves the smoked turkey melt. Quirky but attractive atmosphere. Good reggae tunes. Friendly service. Don't forget to order the Mexican street corn. Highly recommended!

PARKING:DO NOT park right next to the restaurant where it says "FUTURE RESIDENTS" for the apartment complex next door. There is street parking within a block, but not much so I assume it fills up quickly during peak hours.PRICING:Sandwiches range from $14 - $18AMBIANCE:It's a very nice atmosphere, but it seems like it's pretty empty because it's in a weird location? I went during lunchtime on a weekday, so it wasn't busy. But I can't imagine this gets packed. It seems like nothing else is over here. Cute decor tho!FOOD:$18 COLD CUT SANDWICH: yes, it's filled with meat, but I did not look at pricing before I ordered and was semi-shocked when I saw it was $18. It was good, but just an average cold cut sandwich for me. I also hated the bread, it was hard to bite thru the bottom, almost chewy? It's just hard to justify this price for a regular cold cut for me. OVERALL:Although the staff were SUPER friendly and the place is very cute. My one $18 sandwich didn't want me coming back for more. Nothing was wrong with the sandwich itself, I would rather just go elsewhere for a more reasonably priced Sammy. And where I can chew the bread.

I love Bona Fide Deluxe! The food is outstanding, and there hasn't been one thing I haven't liked that we've tried. Most recently we went on Sunday for trivia and the $5 beer special. We started with a special cheese curd appetizer, then split the Hot Italian sandwich and the fried potato wedges. The Hot Italian was so much better than I expected. It had a delicious smoky flavor from the porchetta and all the ingredients melded so well together. We are working our way through the menu, and I can't wait to return and try another sandwich! You can either order at the counter or sit at the bar for full service.
