Bluewater Seafood - Champions

This is my go to place for crawfish. The crawfish are huge and the seasoning has gotten so much better. I also like the Margarita Flight. Love this place will continue to come here during crawfish season.

The service was fabulous as was the food! Crabs tasted as fresh as crabs could be! The walls being covered with fishing-& beach memorabilia made the ambiance complete!A perfect mini vacation on a Thursday!

This Bluewater Seafood restaurant on FM 1960 is the original location (I think) that is not to be confused with the other Bluewater Seafood also on FM 1960 near Hwy. 290 about 7 miles away. It's been a few years since my last visit here and I stopped by for lunch the other day, I noticed that they have taken the parking spots directly in front of the restaurant to expand their outdoor dining experience. Nowadays you have to park around the side or behind the restaurant.With this expansion the outdoor seating now exceeds the indoor area which also includes a small full bar.I ordered the regular size blackened catfish entree with shrimp rice and grilled veggies on the side for $12. The food arrived about 10 minutes later and along with the aforementioned items included one large blackened catfish fillet. This meal was delicious. The fish was flavorful and delightful to eat along with those yummy roasted vegetables and shrimp rice. I've had this meal at the other location and is just as good here. It's my go to meal when I come to a Bluewater Seafood. My table service was attentive too.

Just a reminder that crawfish season is coming to an end. Let that that soak in for a minute and add some fresh garlic. No one does it better or the way you want it like Bluewater Seafood. The Champions location has the best patio with options under the umbrella or covered and screened if you enjoy sitting outside, but the weather is not cooperating. I am a classic rock kind of girl so I love love love sipping on my margarita jamming to Led Zeppelin or The Stones or Jimi Hendrix. Everyone loves Jimi. The crawfish are just on point. When not in crawfish season, I enjoy the boiled shrimp or oysters or fried shrimp. They are one of my favorite places so hurry up and grab two three four pounds and savor the moment until next February when crawfish time rolls around again, but before that grab you some fresh seafood and a margarita flight and relax.

This place has been around for many many years when I first tried this place many many years ago I didn't really appreciate it as I do today. My go to Mail is the fried jumbo shrimp with fries. I also order the pistolettle. If you never tried one, try one from here it's pretty good. Today I only do takeout via Uber eats or DoorDash so I can't compliment on the service but my order is always hot when I receive it.

I'm not sure if maybe I just came in at the wrong time but the food was just okay to me. I got the raw oysters, the Mexican shrimp cocktail, gumbo and clam chowder. The oyster were just okay I've had better, the Mexican shrimp cocktail was good but I wouldn't get it again, the gumbo was really watery, it had flavor but due to it been watery you couldn't really taste it. Finally the clam chowder that I would say try it was good, a little watery too but I would get it again. The service was good, our server Josh was nice and quick. The vibe here was what you'd get at any oyster and seafood place, it was chill.

Consistently Great food and service my family and friends have been eating here for over 15yrs.Their prices are reasonable and as I stated previously the food is consistently good along with the atmosphere and service!!

Blue water seafood has great seafood the platters are extra large! The service is spot on good, kept my bucket of tea filled!
