Every time I see Blood Bros BBQ on social media, I get excited. Because it brings me a good feeling from many memories of Bao Battle, Banh Mi Cookoff and other fundraising events benefiting the AAPI communities. Recently, I finally set foot at the restaurant. My first dish was the Smoked Brisket Burnt End on Steam Buns on the daily special menu back in February. My recent visit was on the last day of May. I went to check out the restaurant for a party. I want to be able to accommodate my guests with best possible experience. I spoke to the cashier, I believe they can deliver the experience that I am hoping for. While I was there, I ordered a Green Thai Curry Boudin Eggroll. It was a takeout. So, I didn't expect to be anything fancy. But when I opened the box... Wow, I was amazed by the presentation. The flavor, OMG, my taste buds were dancing in my mouth. So many exciting flavors and perfect combination of sweet, savory and spiciness. Not sure when I will get to see this item on the menu again. On my next visit, I am going to try the standard BBQ items on the menu. With the dining reward provided by the restaurant, I will be back more often.

A great neighborhood spot with very interesting choices. I have been hankering for some chow fun for months snd saw they had on the menu!! What a combo! Many of their fusion choices sounded so good, it was hard to just do one. Good serving sizes too! Thanks to a great staff!!

What can I say? Top 5 bbq restaurant I have eaten in? Might be, yeah. Caught Blood Bros . in a lunchtime lull as there is normally a line out the door. So glad I came. I put aside the state and national recognition BB gets so I could make an honest assessment of the bbq. They definitely lived up to the hype. I'll start with the pork belly burnt ends. Loved them. They came with a mango habanero salsa that perfectly complimented the pork belly but was not obnoxiously hot. Then moved on to the "44 Farms Smoked Brisket. 44 Farms raises some of the best beef in Texas and BB's honors that quality with a high-end smoke. One of the best brisket I have had, and I've had a lot. Very juicy, fall apart tender, and with a perfect smoke ring. Really exceptional. Finally, there was the single side I ordered, the smoked brisket fried rice. I have an unhealthy relationship with fried rice as it stands, and this dish only amplifies it to stratospheric levels. I mean, I could have a feed bag of this stuff strapped to my face and walk around in public without a care in the world it was that good. Best fried rice I have ever eaten and it's really not even close. Thick chunks of smoked brisket throughout and the smoked flavor just takes fried rice as a cultural dish to a whole other level. LOVED IT.Great service and nice ambiance. Coming back to Houston at end of June and will be visiting here again. Can't wait!

I used to work at an engineering firm that had chain BBQ brought in 2-3x a week. I am forever burnt out from BBQ. I tolerate it for my husband's sake who's always on a BBQ craving venture. I call it Edgar's BBQ tour. It's the Sunday after the Houston tornados. We tried 1 BBQ spot, closed. Another had too long of a line & virtually no parking which is not a good situation with a 3.5 year old. We decided on Blood Brothers. We called to make sure they were open & had power. Ashley answered & she was extremely nice! The second BBQ place we called sounded kind of annoyed when I called. So I appreciate Ashley sounding warm & welcoming!Husband & I are both Alief born. So their nod to their Houston/Alief roots & business gave me a bit of nostalgia. Everything was perfect: available parking, not crazy busy, cute patio area, flavorful food. Our son did not want to share the mac & cheese. There was a nice lady collecting trays to assist with keeping tables tidy.

I want to thank the amazing people at Blood Bros for managing to stay open despite battling yesterday's tornadoes and the ensuing power outages. They got their power back nearly an hour before it was time to open and managed to make it happen with a limited menu. 5/18/24.My Q-bano sandwich was really good if you like Cubano sandwiches with a smoky element to it. The bread was also quite exceptional. My wife adores fried okra and said there's was pretty dang good! The brisket fried rice had such great flavor (was a bit cold, but again they were trying their best) but I would definitely recommend it. And the bananas foster pudding had the perfect amount of sweetness needed to cap off the meal! Please come out and support this wonderful establishment'

Very friendly service. Causal bbq restaurant atmosphere with baseball playing on several tvs. They ran out of the Sleazy Cheese Balls on so didn't get to try it. Got the queso instead. Pretty good with the smokiness from the meat. I wish the consistency was a tiny bit thicker. For the entree we got a Char Siu Banh Mi which was okay. Loved the pickled carrots/daikon. The housemaster bread was good. But, I just didn't really like the fusion char siu. It tasted like it was trying to be too Asian with heavy pepper taste. I understand that the whole point of this place is to serve Asian fusion bbq, but I think I would have preferred it to just be normal sweet Cantonese char siu or just normal bbq meat. The other entree was the brisket burger which we liked more. Good smokiness and the pickles/pickled radish help cut the fat. Overall a decent spot but the food didn't stand out for it to be a go to spot.

Blood Bros BBQ offers wonderfully smoked meat with both a traditional and Asian influence. No risk of a bad decision, it's all great. This visit I had the black pepper sausage, brisket and pork ribs and I can't pick a favorite. The menu is extensive so scan the QR code at the entrance and get in line while contemplating your decision. The lines moves fast because two people are preparing your meal in front of you while another cashes you out. This BBQ lover is always pleased with the entire meal.

It has been a few years since I visited this place. Back then they were still new on the scene and had a line that stretched far back. I remembered really enjoying my visit.Fast forward to now, and a lot has changed. Their menu is expansive, offering daily offerings besides bbq. The line is also gone. Whether it be the high prices and lack of plates with sides, or the ultra competitive bbq market in Houston, Blood Brothers has lost a bit of its luster. On my last visit, I ordered a sliced brisket sandwich with moist brisket and an ambrosia salad. I haven't seen ambrosia salad on the menu in forever, so I was curious. My dining companion ordered the Texas trinity of bbq--brisket, ribs, and sausage plus large sides of brisket fried rice and mac and cheese. The total came out to be over $70 for him. Yikes! I ate a bit of the mac and cheese and was surprisingly disappointed. It was super bland! Thankfully, a sprinkle of salt really perked it up.The brisket on my sandwich was dry and tasted like day old brisket. It certainly did not impress even though the brisket looked nice with lovely dark bark. They were out of cobbler. Thankfully the ambrosia salad served as a nice desert and was my favorite item. While I can appreciate a varied menu, I would whittle it down and focus on the execution of each offering. The inflated prices are a bit of a drawback as well. One might get away with charging premium for a premium product, but that was definitely not what we received.Probably won't be returning soon, given the growing better options.

My son and I decided to create our own "Taste of Houston Tour" for ourselves. We stopped at some recommended places and picked one item from each place to try. We hopped from one place to another and this was one of our stops. We got the Gochhujang Glazed Pork ribs. They were very tasty, probably the tastiest out of all the places we tried. The ribs were very yummy, but there was a lot of fat, and I wouldn't quite call it. Pull off the bone. It was chewy and fatty in some spots. Overall, though, it was very tasty and I would definitely go back and recommend that others check it out. There was a cool atmosphere inside with plenty of seating both inside and out. Everyone that worked there was friendly.
