Bistro Thai

When I don't know what I want to eat, I usually find myself at the food court in the mall. I was very disappointed with today's choice, Bistro Thai. I got the meal with one entree, one side, added a spring roll and a drink. $14.63 for total yuck! The pepper chicken had some flavor, but it was sitting in grease. My stomach turns just thinking about it. The rice had absolutely no taste and the spring roll was mushy, not crispy. I've had my share of bad Asian food, but this... this was bad, bad. I wasn't expecting fireworks at a food court, but this was so subpar, I am surprised they still have a space to rent. In top of it, the guy didn't give me napkins in my bag, so I had to walk to the nearest spot leaving my food and ask for napkins. Hind sight, I should have totally left the food and gone back to work. The presentation is what got me. The sneeze guard windows were all very clean, the food itself looked good and I was impressed with their friendliness. That's where it all ended. That was their only good to offer. When you pay, the machine has one of those tip requesting messages on the screen. I typically don't do tips for this type of service; dollars that it, but I do have a tip for them now: use some spices, crisp up the spring rolls and enough with the grease already. I believe in giving grace, but I will not return for a second try. It was that bad. Ended up wasting money since most of my lunch went into the trash after seeing all the grease. Gross!

Was walking around the mall and they offered us samples. I usually go to Master Wok but I decided to give them a try. We tried 2 samples which were the chicken teriyaki and pepper chicken, while we were approaching the orange chicken sample, the Hispanic guy took the plate and yanked it away. I thought he was refilling it. NO he would NOT LET US TRY IT. he said "NOT EVERYTHING IS FREE" needless to say I will NEVER EVER buy anything here EVER in the future. Samples are meant to be tried. So rude and disrespectful. If I were the owner and I knew this, I wouldn't tolerate this kind of behaviors.

I got chicken pad thai. It was very good!! The chicken was *eyes rolls back* the softest chicken I ever had.. possibly rooster or something else but soo good!

So disappointing. The vegetable spring roll was mushy. The noodles were bland. The General Tso's chicken was basically orange chicken. It is so disappointing to eat and be full but not be satisfied.

After a long day of shopping in the Memorial Mall, we dropped by here for a quick late lunch. We had passed by this take out place in the food court many times during our 3 years in Houston and thought the food would be decent.What can I tell you? We are extremely disappointed with our takeout order. We just ordered the one meat special with rice, plantains and the orange chicken was overcooked and tough, and the rice was cold and unappealing. The only saving grace were the plantains. Those were lukewarm but edible. Don't know what else to say except, I hope this restaurant improves the quality of their food as this isn't a cheap takeout order by any means.

I stopped here to grab a quick dinner before heading home to work. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and a side of fried rice. The Pad Thai is fantastic and is more than what I expected from the Food Court at Memorial City Mall. The flavor was good, spice was great, and the overall dish was cooked just right. The Fried rice was okay, but it's fried rice, always good for the most part. I likely will be back in the future when I want a quick meal for pickup, or while enjoying my time at the mall.Good Job!

I went to return my food and politely told them i found a rock in my meal, the staff then proceeded to gaslight me into thinking it was uncooked rice and told me to just finish the meal as i wasn't getting a refund very rudely. I just left and threw my food away very disgusted.

Their pad thai was awful. They used ramen noodles, seemed to have cooked the scrambled eggs separately, and had the blandest shrimp. The whole thing sat in a liquid - pad thai isn't supposed to be a soup ....It was somewhat edible, but if you want authentic pad thai, don't come here.

This place served their banana as an entree! Which Asian resto do you see a banana as an entree??? I am Asian and have been to LOTS of Asian food places! For 4 pcs of overripe/overcooked plaintain, my ordered moved up to 1 side and "2 entrees." And the cashier told me that for "5 PCs of bananas, I was only charged $1 more." This place must go! It was truly a mistake to get my food from here. NEVER again.
