Big T’s Fry Fish

WARNING: If you happen to taste your food before heading home to share with others, please be advised that you may have to spin an intricate narrative as to why there's little food left. I ordered the combination (3) platter. My favorite items: the fried whiting and the fried shrimp. Don't ask me how I was able to drive and eat because the food was very fresh. I'm not from around here so many food spots that I stumble upon are hit or miss; today was a hit. I need to know what seasonings were on that fried fish! Thanks for the kind service too!

Exceedingly average. Service was good, courteous, and efficient. $15 for a shrimp po boy and 2 sides. Tasted ok, a bit overcooked. Nothing was bad but not good enough to come back here.

The service was great. The woman at the counter was very nice. The kitchen team worked fast making everything and making sure people didn't wait too long. The greens weren't my favorite since they tasted like canned greens. The Mac and cheese surprised me because it's creamy and not baked. Still very cheesy and tasty just not what I was expecting. The catfish was amazing. It was seasoned well. Hot enough to melt the box . Had a great crunch and very meaty. The wings were seasoned well and I believe they could be good but mine were burnt/fried extra hard which I did not request. Because of other reviews I would give this place another try or just come for the fish!

If you're looking for some of the best fried fish and shrimp you should give this spot a try. I went here for lunch. The food was very good and the hush puppies were some of the best that I've had. The only negative that I have with this place was portions were kind of small for the price but wouldn't keep me from coming back. Thanks for serving up some awesome food!

Stopped in for lunch one day last week. First time visit. First thing I noticed was how clean and neat the restaurant was. Ordered the Fried Flounder Platter with Greens, Mac n cheese and Hushpuppies. The food came out hot and fresh. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. The fish was so fresh and meaty and served with homemade tarter sauce. The BEST fried fish I have ever had! The greens were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Mac n cheese wasn't bad. The ice tea was great. I will be back for more

On our particular visit, we found Big T had a steady stream of to go visitors -- With that being said, we decided to eat in (Cause we all know fish is best served pipping hot)!While not my preferred cornmeal dredge, it still maintained a pleasant crunch factor - mostly attributed to a flour batter. Catfish was pleasantly tender and light. However, we found the flounder not as fresh as we would have preferred, but still delicious. Overall, everything was very tasty. Admittedly, on this particular day one could argue the food was almost too salty. Coleslaw was dill and acidic forward (so not your typical coleslaw). Tartar sauce was well balanced with a tasty dill presence. We found the establishment to be neat and tidy, and Service prompt and professional. Fast Casual Seafood: 4.1

I stumbled on this place when it was an option for Lunchdrop. I thought I'd give it a try and was not disappointed. The fish was crispy and the okra was very good. It's hard to find fried okra that I like at places around here but I loved it from here! The food was fresh for it being delivered and it was fast as well. I loved the fish, and the Mac and cheese. This is definitely a place I will go back to for lunch or dinner!

The cashier is very pleasant and friendly and the restaurant itself was very cute and clean. There was no crowd so my food was out quickly. The portion was smaller than I expected and more like a snack. While the shrimp was flavorful it was just a little bit too salty and cooked just a little bit too hard. The fries were okay and the collards were okay but heavy on the stems. I will give this place another try and order something different like fish with different sides.

Big T's made the Triangle's best fish and chips list. Curious to test it out for myself, I ordered delivery for lunch today. I really enjoyed my catfish platter. I decided on hush puppies and fried okra. Everything was perfect. I really enjoyed the hush puppies. They were cooked perfectly and were huge. They provided the adequate amount of condiments. A fresh lemon, delicious tarter and cocktail sauce. I would definitely dine there again.

Very good fried seafood. A very clean restaurant with ample seating, a wide variety of various fried seafood (as well as grilled if you would prefer it that way), and friendly staff. My personal favorite of the platters we ordered was the flounder. It was seasoned very well and overall just hit the spot for my cheat day meal. Super cool place if you're in the mood for fried seafood. Give this play a try!
