Beasley's Chicken & Honey

We were in town for a concert at the Amphitheater and needed to grab a quick dinner before the show. We saw Beasley's and decided to stop in. It was a quiet Friday evening around 5pm when we arrived, but within 30 minutes the place filled up. Great atmosphere in a large open dining area with tables and bar seating. Love this casual vibe. We were greeted by our server, Ethan, and we told Ethan we were in town to see Tate McRae (sorry, Ethan! I know you were disappointed you didn't know about her show!). He was very friendly and enthusiastic!So, as for the food, we decided on a couple appetizers to start. We tried the caramelized onion dip and the fried shrimp. Very tasty. I like that the dip came with chips and cucumbers sliced longways. Delicious. For our entrees, we went with the crispy Carolina catfish, chicken breast with waffles, Beasley's smash burger, and the Veggie Sandwich. Everything was hot and fresh. Great tasting waffles from what I heard next to me. The prices and portions were decent. I wouldn't say the portions were enormous, but they were very satisfying before heading out for the night. This is in a busy spot and by the time we were finished and leaving, there was a wait. Beasley's Chicken and Honey is a great stop in downtown Raleigh. If you are in town, don't miss out.

Came here because of the huge amount of reviews and seems popular. My food was only okay. The chicken sandwich needed more flavor in the sauce. Collared greens were extremely salty, couldn't finish them. Mac & cheese was just alright. I will say the ambience in there is very cool and the service was good.

Pros: chicken, biscuits and drinks are tasty. I've had cocktails and mocktails. Con: Salads are pretty gross and well as the pimento mac and cheese. The drink portions are really small

The customer service is one of a kind. They definitely pay close attention to the needs of their customers and their recommendations of certain dishes. The food was good and the honey chicken was cooked to perfection. Those biscuits should be laid out on every table as I couldn't get enough. The waffle was hot and fluffy but I should have asked to have it a bit more crunchy, but overall good and with the hint of vanilla as well. The restaurant is well lit and bright with bright wood seating. If you're in Raleigh, North Carolina, this is a place to definitely pick up a snack.

We found this place to eat at yesterday while visiting and it was AMAZING! I love how you can order pieces of chicken singularly. I also am a big fan of how you can get it boneless because I'm not a big bone in fan when it comes to chicken. The honey being drizzled over it was so goood! I got the mashed potato's and for me the onion was just a tad too much but my boyfriend LOVED THEM! I in turn snatched some of his fries which were amazing. The place is super cute and I loved it a lot. The server was super cool and it just happened that she had went to the same concert as us last night and it was nice chatting about it for a minute. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again!

Very impressed with the waffles here! I'm usually a pancake person, but the waffles were delicious! The chicken was good. Got thighs, wings, waffle, and chicken pot pie. Chicken pot pie was very flavorful and didn't feel heavy at all! Luckily we beat the rush and didn't have to wait for a table. They have stool seating. Awesome customer service!

Me and my family came here on a whim looking for something to eat. We aren't from here so we had no recommendations or reservations. There was a wait since it was a Saturday but was seated in about 15 min. The seats were interesting.. they are metal short stools so not very comfortable. I ordered chicken and waffles since they are known for that and I really liked it! The chicken was drizzled with honey which was really good and the waffle was the star of the meal. I was able to taste what my family ordered as well.. the greens didn't have a taste only vinegar, the mac/cheese was a block like velveeta was in it which isn't my go to cheeses for that dish but not bad. I think I would come back IF there's nothing else available in the area.

Good southern breakfast in a casual environment. If you are trying to soak up a hangover with some biscuits, this is the spot. The menu has a lot of options and you can mix and match to your liking. I got the biscuits and gravy then added a fried chicken thigh and two eggs. Wow so good! A great breakfast spot all around with drinks to make it a boozy brunch!

Food was great, service was great! Drinks were spectacular. We ordered the Blueberry coconut margaritas & ocean drive. This was our first visit. Seating was very uncomfortable. No booths or regular chairs. All they have are these tiny, metal stools throughout. If you have a bad back, be warned and def don't recommend if it's a severe bad back. Overall restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was fun. 8/10, def recommend!
