BB's Tex-Orleans

I've always enjoyed the unique flavors at BB's Tex-Orleans, but my recent visit left a lot to be desired in terms of service. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, it took over 10 minutes for our server to approach us for our drink order.When I requested my crawfish to be served in two separate batches to maintain its temperature, I was flatly denied. This was surprising as I've had such requests accommodated at other BB's locations without issue. Consistency is key in the restaurant business, and this inconsistency was a letdown.Moreover, this isn't the first time I've encountered service issues at this particular location. On a previous visit, they lacked crab crackers and failed to inform customers before they ordered crab. When it was brought up to the manager, she told us that she couldn't help it and that people steal them. We were able to eat most of the crab, but it was super hard to eat the claw meat with out crackers.BB's, I like your food, but the service needs to improve. It's essential to match the quality of your dishes with the quality of your customer service. Do better.

Wait time is horrible. We were originally set to around 20-25 minute using yelp and went into to check in. Then as were checked in our time went up even more to add additional 30 mins. We really wanted crawfish and decided to wait. Well after a hour we finally sat down. Waiter: waiter was cool, slow but cool. He very rarely came by to check on drinks though. Even the table next to us was complaining that they haven't seen him much. Food: crawfish were good, but everyone in my party had to rush home to the toilet afterwards and the only thing we had in common was crawfish. Some of the staff is sort of rude and looks to be stressed out. No smiles except on the two black male waiters. They seemed to be the only happy ones. I was literally standing at the door waiting to be seated and heard them tell every guest that walked in that it would be 45 minute to 1 hour wait even though at least 15-20 minutes had passed from first set of people they told that to. I don't know if that's true or not, but seems that they were trying to drive away customers. At least 4-5 nice size parties left due to them giving out extremely long waits. However, it was like 6-8 tables outside, probably 5-6 tables inside free. I understand you can be short staffed, but to be rude to the people coming in and keeping you in business is freaking crazy if you ask me. Your customers literally is what keeps you working and keeping the doors open. No one was rude to me personally, but I could hear them making comments that were not nice referencing other parties. Just seems like they didn't want people coming in. If you guys don't want to close your business soon then you as the owner or management need step it up and get more involved with the folks you are hiring. Because I honestly won't be back.

It's solid.Not mind-blowing, but good and authentic....We order from here when we have a craving for Cajun food but don't need anything fancy. Favorite items are red beans & rice and boudain links. Decent portions, decent prices.

I am really shocked at the low reviews from this place. BB text New Orleans is serving up some really good authentic food here. My girlfriend and I had just got back from New Orleans and I was still craving New Orleans style food so I stopped by to get my fixed.we are absolutely spoiled and should be grateful to have such a good restaurant serving up amazing food in Houston Texas. I've been to all of their locations, I started coming to this business whenever they started in Montrose years ago. I've been a fan of their food for a very long time, and will continue to always support them.Food: their beef po boy is top notch! So much flavor. My god. One of my faves. The chicken and sausage Gumbo is to die for! Authentic and top notch. Also their version of Mexican street corn is simply amazing. To all the low reviews. You simply don't understand great food! Go to taco bell or gringos lol.

I eat in, I order togo. Both options food is phenomenal, they have a solid all around menu

Large portions of well prepared tilapia on the Lenten special. The flavored rice was a good accompaniment along with green beans. Service was good although they appeared to be slightly short-staffed. Wait staff was hustling and paying attention to customers.

Whether in person or delivery, Bb's hardly ever disappoints me! The customer service is generally always on point and there are familiar faces at this location. Of all the places I've tried for crawfish, BB's is my all time favorite and I can't get enough. Love the option to dine indoor or outdoor when the weather is nice! Good location. Good food. Good customer service.

Just okay - service was not very good (several instances of waiters dropping dishes, lingering around tables to talk to friends, complaining about how many tables they had, etc.). Food wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't come back here personally.

Ty made it a great first-time experience, and a great birthday dinner would definitely go again. The food was amazing, and the menu offered lots of variety. We sat on the outside patio, and it was nice and relaxing.

Was not sure about this place but It was great! Ordered take out fried shrimp for my sons and they were so pleased. When I picked up the service was really friendly and quick. I got home to very hungry boys who were very excited with their dinner...DAD DID GOOD! Fried shrimp, fries, hush puppies and coleslaw were all very good. One son didn't want coleslaw so I had it and must say it's best I've ever had. Fried shrimp were crispy, tender and fresh! I'll be back for sure.
