Large spot in a plaza with easy parking. The entryway and first area you walk through is filled with desserts which got our mouths watering. They even had a full station of Kwality ice cream (with flavors like gulab jamun!) We didn't get ice cream, but everything did look really tempting. We were seated right away at a booth table. Staff came over a little too quickly to take our order, so we had to tell them to come back twice. My husband loves chaat so we started with an order of papad chaat. What we got was definitely not papad chaat - this was some kind of smaller round cracker (looked just like ritz crackers but heftier/not crumbly) on the bottom, covered in chana masala (?? that's not usually on there), it was kind of lukewarm (usually it's cold), had nothing crispy on top, no tamarind, no pomegranate seeds. It tasted pretty good and definitely had a spicy kick to it, but it was just not papad chaat. My husband either saw or heard that the 'chaat station/cart' wasn't set up that day, which is fine, holiday Monday, but I still don't know exactly what they served us. (If the cart isn't open, maybe don't serve chaats?)Anyway, onto dinner. We shared 3 main dishes - chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, and aloo gobi. Apparently you get to choose a side of rice OR naan (usually it's just rice, and we order a side of naan) so we got "2 sides" of rice and one of naan. It ended up being the right proportions thankfully.Chicken tikka masala was good, tasty, and the chicken was cooked well. I always wish there was a *little* more chicken, but we each got about 3 pieces. The aloo gobi was also tasty, as was the naan. I'm not a paneer person so I didn't try any. We ordered all 3 dishes medium and they were not particularly spicy - the chaat we had to start was much hotter. At the end, the waiter told us if we used cash we'd get a 5% discount, but we didn't have enough cash. Then when my husband was tipping on the card, the waiter said something about leaving cash instead, but that's....up to us, not him? We were a little confused at a few things he said.Overall the dinner was pretty good, though the chaat thing was weird and I wasn't in love with the waitstaff. Would probably check out some other Indian places first.

Excellent food and extremely courteous staff. Even the ambiance of the place is top notch and has a constant buzz. Where my experience starts to wane is the fact I had to wait nearly 45 minutes for my order. I didn't realize it would take this long. I saw many people place to-go orders and then come pick them up. I should have done the same too but being a first timer how would I even know it would take that long. After 30 minutes one of the waitstaff behind the counter sheepishly approached me and handed me a savory bread item. It was really tasty but there was no explanation why they handed it to me other than a head shake and smile.I came here on a pinch being I used to live in the area and love supporting local businesses. The entrance is adorned with showcases full of pastries and ice cream as you walk to the host stand. The entire environment is super satisfying so I think maybe I got a one off experience. I'll still keep this place on my radar but nothing is making me gravitate towards returning. My tikka masala only came with a big container and naan included. This came out to almost $20. Slightly offended there was no rice or utensils or any offer of utensils. Once your order is ready a text message is sent to you. Had I know I would've gone to sit in my car or wander around. Still, the flavor was good so maybe a return, maybe not.

If you're looking for South Indian cuisine then this your spot. The Masala Dosas are the best in Denver as well as their many varieties in curry.

Based on recent recommendations, I came here for some chaat. We got the sev puri and dahi puri and the dahi puri was really good. What disappointed me is the sev puri was just dahi puri without the dahi - that's not sev puri! You don't serve sev puri in a golgappa puri. Filter coffee was good. I did however try their Vijaywada biryani recently and that was very good. Service is slow! Increasing a star only for their biryani!

New favorite Indian restaurant! Absolutely loved my experience here! From the moment you walk through the doors, you smell an amazing aroma that foreshadows the meal to come. At the entrance is a bakery with lavish desserts which caught my eye from the start. We made sure to take a few home to indulge in later that evening. We got a gulab jamun cheesecake which was phenomenal and my favorite out of all the ones we tried. There was also a tres leches that was at the top of my list. For our meal, we ordered way too much, and I think the waiter was impressed at how little food was leftover at the end! We started with the Pani puri which is always a favorite of mine. Then the onion samosas came out which were good, along with the chili paneer. We almost didn't order it, but were so glad we did, because the chicken 555 was the most delicious dish we tried! Spicy and flavorful, and it'll definitely be something we always order when we go there moving forward. The tandoori chicken came out on a steaming hot plate and was amazing! We also ordered the chicken lollipops and I have to say all these chicken dishes that we ordered were so good that we had trouble rating our favorites on these. The chicken lollipops were so tasty and the meat practically fell off the bone. We ordered the butter chicken as well, as this is a staple dish I like to try at every Indian restaurant when I'm a first timer and I can say that the flavor and consistency was better than most I've tried! And lastly, we had to try one of the biryanis. I'm not normally a huge fan of biryani, and we asked our waiter to recommend one to us, and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. That was the only thing we couldn't finish because the dish of rice was huge and of course we ordered so many different things. I had some more biryani the next day for lunch at home and it was just as good the next day! Overall, we had an amazing time at Bawarchi, and whenever I'm in the mood for Indian food, this will without a doubt be my first choice!

I don't know why the ratings are so low here. This place is amazing! They have desserts, food, cream puffs, and ice cream! I am in LOVE with the dahi puri. I've also had the chicken tikka masala and the Saag paneer. Everything was good and the dishes come with naan or rice which is great. I honestly want to come here every time I'm in town and try everything they have to offer. I've also had their mango chia pudding and cake and everything is great! I got a medium spice level and it wasn't that spicy so if you like spice I would go with spicy.

It was decent. I got the masala dosa and the dosa itself was bigger than any I have gotten at any other restaurant. However, the chutneys did not taste like how they are made at other restaurants at all and I actually didn't really like the taste of them. One miss for me was the service here, though. We ordered and got our food nearly 45 minutes later, which was a much longer wait time than we anticipated. We also asked for a water refill and we had to remind them twice in order to actually get the refill. Despite this, I still really liked the number of options here and the pricing for the large portions of food. Definitely one of the better Indian restaurants in Denver.

In my opinion, the two defining dishes of any Indian restaurant is the dosa and the CTM (chicken Tikka Masala). Both are pretty standard dishes that are easy to reproduce well....and when done well are magnificent. That is what we ordered:CTM - pretty epic. Really a layered creamy sauce so well spiced, it was perfectly done. It has bell pepper and onions that are clearly added later in the cooking process as they retain their crunch. I would order this on repeat.Dosa - defined by my meal partner as the "worst dosa they ever ate". Why you ask? The dosa was soft and limp, not the extra crispy as was ordered. It is served with potatoes that were waterlogged and had no taste.A 3 star rating is being given when you mess up a dosa so badly. Also, the staff is by no means rude, but also by no means friendly. The food also came out at different times so always that awkward dance of - do I let my food get cold and not enjoy it to be polite or do I awkwardly eat while they are staring at me?

Better dosas and curry than I've had after living in Chicago for 30 years!!! They have a great variety, and you can even customize the crispyness level of your dosa. The sauces and chutneys on the side are rich, not watered down, and the salty lassi was SO thick and creamy! The goat curry had lots of meaty pieces and comes with super fresh and crispy naan. They make a variety of chaat like pani puri too, and have an entire bakery section of cake slices and breads! Really authentic flavors here and great service.

Don't review many restaurants, but had to after our experience was so different than some others. Started with veggie samosas - they tasted fresh and the spices were on point. Very good sauce. We had paneer Tikka masala and vegetable korma for mains. Veg korma was a revelation! Not too heavy and with spices I don't normally associate with veg korma. But they worked! Paneer Tikka was the style I usually see and well executed. Garlic naan and rice as expected were good. They also had lots of more interesting options that we would try if we lived near here including a wonderful looking bakery.Service was.fine - businesslike and efficient. Friendly chat afterwords.Only down side for me is no alcohol that I saw.
